Steelers rookie DT Derrick Harmon spotted shadowing Cam Heyward at OTAs
Steelers rookie DT Derrick Harmon spotted shadowing Cam Heyward at OTAs Derrick Harmon is trying to follow in Cam Heyward's footsteps — literally — as the rookie defensive tackle shadowed the veteran Steeler throughout OTAs. PennLive's Nick Farabaugh reported that the mentorship was similar to how T.J. Watt took Nick Herbig under his wing — wherever Heyward went, Harmon followed. For the Steelers rookie, it's simple: he just wants to learn from as many veteran minds as possible. "I told them I'm asking questions," Harmon told reporters on Thursday. "That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to learn." The Steelers rookie has an ingenious recipe for success — leaning on Heyward's 14 NFL seasons as an invaluable resource. Harmon recently appeared on the podcast Not Just Football with Cam Heyward and spoke highly of watching the veteran Steelers DT growing up — as well as letting everyone know that he's looking forward to stopping Ravens RB Derrick Henry in 2025. Terry Bradshaw, Cam Heyward comments about Aaron Rodgers resonate with plenty of Steelers fans
As the Steelers remain in the very un-Steeler-like position of giving an open-ended invitation to a player who has yet to reciprocate the team's interest, plenty of Steelers fans are dismayed by the team's uncharacteristic display of desperation. And when someone connected to the team pushes back, plenty of Steelers fans applaud. In March, veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward said this: 'I ain't doing that darkness retreat. I don't need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't. That's simple, that's the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that's the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers — if you want to be part of it, so be it. If you don't, no skin off my back.' And while Heyward later softened his remarks, he spoke for plenty of Steelers fans. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler, or you don't. More recently, Hall of Fame Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw unloaded on Rodgers, calling the prospect of a one-year rental 'a joke' and authoring this insult: 'That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.' That's how plenty of Steelers fans feel. We've run a pair of unscientific Twitter polls regarding whether Steelers fans want Rodgers. Both resulted in an overwhelming no. The first was done in late March. The next in April, a day after Rodgers appeared with Pat McAfee and company to explain his absence of a team, to air general grievances, and to relitigate COVID (again). The first poll resulted in a 55.9-percent no vote. The second saw the negative shoot to more than 70 percent. The Steelers apparently don't care. They'll do whatever they think they need to do. The fans will get used to it — especially if/when Rodgers shows up and starts throwing darts all over the place. Still, a hesitation to Rodgers lingers. He's already an outsider. And he keeps acting like one. The longer he takes to tell the world what he's doing, the stronger the basic Pittsburgh aversion to Rodgers will become. Especially since it shouldn't be hard for him to disclose his plans. Directly and clearly and without wordplay while riding sidecar to 'Mike Stud' or anything other than the kind of straightforward candor that characterizes people from Pittsburgh. They don't have time for games; there's work to be done. And you're either going to pick up a shovel and dig, or you're going to stand there and watch. When will Rodgers pick up his shovel? And it's not just when he will shovel. It's whether he will shovel at all. That's all Steelers fans want to know. Will he be picking up a shovel in Pittsburgh this year?

Pittsburgh Steelers: Cam Heyward fires shots at the Cleveland Browns after the QB draft haul
Amid the 2025 NFL season draft picks, the Cleveland Browns seem to be dealing with a crowded quarterback room. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward subtly underlines that the Browns have filled in too many quarterbacks. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The subtle mock from the Steelers' player might be a response to the trolling the Browns made ahead of the official schedule release last Wednesday. In the back-and-forth, the playful jabs at the rival teams have surely started building up the excitement ahead of the commencement of the 2025 season. The Pittsburgh Steelers star takes a dig at the Cleveland Browns The Browns' current team positions consist of five quarterbacks, including Deshaun Watson , Kenny Pickett , Joe Flacco , and their recently drafted picks, such as Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Despite the Steelers not being at the top of their game, the Browns' subtle jab of playfully comparing the team to a 'dumpster fire' indeed made buzz on X. Reacting To The 2025 Steelers Schedule LIVE Responding to this playful jab, the defensive lineman Heyward from the Steelers had a message to say on his recent appearance on his podcast, 'Not Just Football with Cam Heyward.' The Steelers took a jab at the Browns amid their QB haul. He stated, "You don't know what's going on in Cleveland at the quarterback position. But you still have a lot of respect for guys like [Joe] Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel — uh, how many different quarterbacks we got over there? I know [the Browns] called us a dumpster fire today, but I'm just trying to figure out how many quarterbacks we got over there." Sheesh! The words from Heyward would definitely hit a spot, and we might witness the Browns respond to that in the near future. While the Browns fans hope for the new additions to bring in the required stability in their gameplay, Heyward's remarks might have highlighted a truth that they have to face. With Sanders bringing in praises for his rookie minicamp practices, it will be intriguing to watch what unfolds this year's NFL season. Also Read:

Cam Heyward describes stopping Week 14 Ravens' Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry in five words
Cam Heyward describes stopping Week 14 Ravens' Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry in five words The 2025 Steelers measuring stick game is clear — Week 14 in Baltimore against the Ravens, and Pittsburgh's veteran DT Cameron Heyward knows it all too well. On his podcast, Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, the Steelers DT summed up the Week 14 meeting between the Steel City and Ravens in five powerful words: "Got to stop the run." Truer words have never been spoken. Baltimore exposed the Steelers' run defense in Week 16 of 2024 — as RB Derrick Henry ran for 162 yards on just 24 carries — the most regular season rushing yards Pittsburgh has ever given up to a Ravens player. Just a few short weeks later, Henry destroyed Pittsburgh once more, this time in the Wild-Card round of the playoffs — accumulating 186 rushing yards and two TDs on just 26 carries. And that was just Henry, as the two-time MVP Ravens QB Lamar Jackson also ran for over 80 rushing yards in the Wild-Card beat down over the Steelers. It was a major point of emphasis to revamp the run defense this offseason — and that's exactly what the Steelers did in the 2025 NFL Draft — but no one will know for sure until Pittsburgh faces off against Baltimore in Week 14 of the 2025 season.

Cam Heyward roasts Browns QB situation: 'How many different QBs we got over there'
Cam Heyward just blasted the Cleveland Browns in hilarious fashion — taking aim at their current five-man QB room. On his podcast, Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, the big Steelers DT had this to say about Cleveland's over-capacity at the QB position: "You don't know what's going on in Cleveland at the quarterback position. But you still have a lot of respect for guys like [Joe] Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel — uh, how many different quarterbacks we got over there? I know [the Browns] called us a dumpster fire today, but I'm just trying to figure out how many quarterbacks we got over there." Heyward is referencing how the Browns, on the day of the NFL Schedule Release, used a picture of a dumpster fire to describe the Steelers — which clearly didn't resonate with Pittsburgh's veteran DT. While it's easy to laugh at Cleveland's failures with arguably the most important position in all of sports, the Steelers have fared no better since Ben Roethlisberger retired — and are currently in the midst of an over two-month waiting game with 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers.
