Bar security says 'I will put pressure on your f***ing neck' as man is pinned to the ground

Bar security says 'I will put pressure on your f***ing neck' as man is pinned to the ground A member of security staff has been suspended after he was filmed making sickening threats to a man who had been pinned to the ground following an altercation outside a bar A member of bar security staff was heard threatening and swearing at a man they had pinned to the ground after an altercation in Manchester's Gay Village. An incident unfolded in Manchester's Gay Village, where security staff at a bar were caught on camera threatening and hurling abuse at a man they had pinned to the ground during an altercation. The altercation, which occurred outside Bar Pop on Canal Street around 1.50 am on the recent Bank Holiday Monday, was captured in footage shared with the Manchester Evening News. The video depicts five security staff members restraining a man on the pavement. ‌ A witness contacted the police recalling how that the man seemed 'very intoxicated' and allegedly 'tried to punch' a bouncer before being subdued. However, they labelled the conduct of an employee from CandD Security Ltd as 'disgusting'. ‌ In the video snippet, a female security staffer is overheard snapping "shut your mouth" followed by the threat, "I will put pressure on your f***ing neck". There's a noticeable movement suggesting she applies force onto his neck area, reports the Manchester Evening News. While her colleagues maintain their grip on the individual, the woman said: "How dare you f***ing assault my f***ing door staff. Thinking you're hard? I've had bigger people than you for my f***ing breakfast." One patron who experienced the scene on a night out noted that despite the man's initial aggression post a 'kerfuffle' with a doorman, his inebriated state rendered him relatively immobile, reiterating that 'he wasn't going anywhere'. The eyewitness has reported this matter to the authorities. Article continues below (Image: ABNM Photography ) He recounted: "A gent came out of the bar and he had a kerfuffle with one of the bouncers. Yes, he did swing for him but he was so out of it that he completely missed. The bouncers threw him to the floor and multiple people jumped on top of him - at this point I thought it was justified. "But after a good five minutes of him being on the floor, when he was shouting, one of the female door staff members dropped her body camera and was screaming at him about putting pressure on his neck and swearing at him and being aggressive. ‌ "It was disgusting. He wasn't going anywhere, as there were so many of them pinning him down. In a place like Canal Street where you are supposed to feel really safe and people like this have a contract for the doors, it's not right." Greater Manchester Police have confirmed receiving an assault report and confirm that the investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, a related staff member has been placed on suspension by the security firm. When approached with these allegations, a spokesperson for CandD security said: "We are aware of the incident, and the individual involved has been suspended from work pending further investigation. We are currently cooperating fully with GMP in this matter." Article continues below Bar Pop has also issued a response. A spokesperson said: "We are aware of the matter and are working with the local authority and Greater Manchester Police. A staff member has been suspended pending investigation."
