Bag Capacity Widget: Perfect Corp's WANNA Debuts Latest Innovation for 3D Viewer
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WANNA, a leading provider of fashion AR virtual try-on solutions and a brand of Perfect Corp. (NYSE:PERF), is revolutionizing the way shoppers explore handbags online with the launch of its animated Bag Capacity Widget. This latest addition to WANNA's complete product suite for online bag shopping addresses a long-standing challenge in e-commerce — helping consumers interact with bags in a more immersive and realistic way, replicating the in-store shopping experience. Understanding a bag's capacity and interior layout has always been difficult for many online shoppers. Traditional product images fail to capture key details, such as inner compartments, pocket placements, and overall storage space. This leads to uncertainty and contributes to returns, with size mismatches accounting for around 24% of returns in the bag category. WANNA's new Bag Capacity Widget offers a solution by allowing users to virtually look inside the bag, examine its compartments, and even test its capacity by placing items inside. The feature is part of WANNA 3D Viewer, which is designed to replicate the in-store shopping experience with high-fidelity visuals and interactive exploration tools. The introduction of the Bag Capacity Widget now takes this a step further, enabling users to: Peek inside the bag and examine the inner compartments, pockets, and lining. Assess storage capacity by virtually placing everyday items — such as a phone, glasses case, or laptop — inside the bag. View capacity more accurately through a transparency mode that reveals how many items fit inside the bag. "When shopping for a handbag online, consumers don't just want to see the exterior — they want to experience the bag as if they were holding it in their hands," said Zina Grossman, Head of Growth at WANNA. "WANNA's Bag Capacity Widget for 3D Viewer offers a groundbreaking way for shoppers to interact with handbags in real-time, delivering a more engaging, detailed, and confidence-boosting shopping experience." WANNA provides a full suite of virtual tools to help shoppers make more informed handbag purchases. In addition to the new Bag Capacity Widget, the WANNA 3D Viewer for Bags delivers a 360° product view, allowing customers to explore the bag's texture, material, stitching, and size in lifelike detail. Unlike static visuals, which can sometimes feel curated to show only the best angles, this interactive experience builds trust. Joint force with Perfect Corp.'s 3D viewer technology, the solution now includes 3D Viewers for bags, shoes, perfumes, earrings, rings, watches, and glasses. Complementing the 3D Viewer, WANNA Virtual Try-On (VTO) technology provides an additional layer of realism, enabling shoppers to see how a bag looks when worn crossbody or on the shoulder. This combination of detailed 3D exploration and real-time try-on creates a complete and effective way to evaluate quality, dimensions, and overall aesthetics, empowering consumers to make more confident purchasing decisions. By integrating 3D animation and AR-powered visualization, WANNA bridges the gap between physical and digital shopping. This technology offers brands a powerful new way to showcase handbags online, bringing higher engagement and product storytelling to e-commerce platforms. WANNA's new Bag Capacity Widget is now available for integration via SDK and will be showcased at VivaTech 2025 (June 11-14, Paris). Additionally, Perfect Corp. will present a range of innovations, including the Virtual Fitting Room and the latest AI APIs, set to redefine AI-powered beauty and fashion retail. Eskom to implement a 14-hour power outage in parts of Tshwane
Eskom will interrupt power supply to parts of Tshwane on Thursday, 15 May, due to emergency maintenance on its distribution network. The planned power outage will last for 14 hours, from 9:00 to 23:00. It will impact customers in the Cullinan area, including the Council for Geoscience, National Library, Donkerhoek plots, Galagos Country Estate, Kleinfontein, and Rhenosterfontein plots. 'The interruption in electricity supply is necessary to perform essential emergency maintenance on our distribution power lines,' Eskom confirmed in a notice on Friday. The utility advised all affected customers to treat electrical appliances as live for safety during the outage. Eskom: Grid stability remains intact despite maintenance Eskom reassured the public that the power system remains stable. From 1 April to 8 May, the Unplanned Capacity Loss Factor (UCLF) dropped to 27.99%—a 1.2% improvement compared to last year. Additionally, planned maintenance activities have increased to 6 904MW, or 14.76% of total generation capacity. 'The power system remains stable, supported by adequate emergency reserves that are strategically deployed when necessary to manage periods of high winter peak demand,' the utility said. Eskom also reported a slight increase in its Open-Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) usage—rising from 3.78% to 3.87% in early May—but noted that diesel reliance is declining. According to Eskom's Winter Outlook on 5 May, the utility does not expect load shedding if unplanned power outages stay below 13 000MW. Even if breakdowns increase to 15 000MW, Eskom estimates Stage 2 load shedding would only be implemented for 21 out of 153 winter days, a significant improvement compared to last year's projections of Stage 5. To support this outlook, Eskom plans to return 2 970MW to service before the evening peak on Monday, 12 May. This additional capacity is expected to ease pressure on the grid during winter. 8 Best First Jobs If You Want To Pay Lower Taxes
Your first job isn't just about gaining experience — it can also impact how much you take home from your paycheck. Some entry-level jobs come with lower tax burdens due to falling into lower income brackets, qualifying for special deductions or leading to careers with tax advantages. Learn More: Find Out: From freelance gigs to government positions, these jobs can help you minimize what you owe to the IRS while still earning a solid paycheck. If you want a tax-friendly job, look for roles in three key areas, according to Andrew Lokenauth, finance expert and founder of Self-employed jobs Jobs with special tax treatment Jobs with Tax-advantaged benefits Check Out: Self-employment comes with freedom and flexibility and the chance to reduce your taxable income through deductions. Freelancers and independent contractors have more control over their taxes. If you work for yourself — whether in consulting, IT, design or other fields — you can deduct business expenses that salaried employees can't, according to Jeff Kaiden, CEO of Capacity. 'That includes home office costs, software, travel and even some meals. I've hired independent contractors who have a lower tax burden than my full-time employees, even though they make similar money.' Content creators who make money through sponsorships, ad revenue or affiliate marketing can earn anywhere from $50,000 to $500,000 or more per year, depending on their niche, audience size and platform, according to Daniel Sanchez, CEO of Influencity. Freelancing comes with trade-offs, however, such as tracking expenses, paying quarterly taxes and unpredictable income, but for those who manage it well, the tax benefits can be significant. Experienced digital marketers who work as consultants often earn $80,000 to $250,000 per year, Sanchez said. Unlike salaried employees, consultants can deduct marketing tools, education, office space and travel expenses. Many structure their incomes to take advantage of lower business tax rates instead of paying high personal income taxes. 'This job is ideal for marketers who want flexibility and are good at networking. However, success requires staying ahead of trends and proving ROI (return on investment) to clients,' Sanchez said. If you have tech skills, consulting offers tax benefits, Lokenauth said. Freelance IT consultants can earn between $90,000 to $150,000 if they build up a solid clientele. 'You can deduct your home office, equipment, software subscriptions and professional development costs. Plus, structuring your business as an S-corp can save on self-employment taxes.' Some jobs offer unique tax benefits that can lead to significant savings. Christopher Migliaccio, lawyer and founder of Warren and Migliaccio L.L.C, explained that farming and agricultural jobs often come with special tax breaks. Farmers and agricultural workers can credit taxes, depreciate equipment and deduct land improvements. 'This is not the career for everyone, but anyone who can inherit farmland or transition into agriculture can benefit from distinct tax breaks,' he said. Working on an oil rig or merchant ship can qualify you for the foreign earned income exclusion, Lokenauth explained. This means you might exclude up to $112,000 or more from U.S. federal income tax. 'The work is tough and you're away from home, but the tax savings can be substantial,' he said. Many jobs offer tax benefits such as retirement accounts or other perks that offset pay. While government jobs don't necessarily come with lower tax rates, they do offer strong benefits that help offset what you pay. 'Federal employees have access to tax-deferred retirement accounts, which means they can reduce taxable income while saving for the future. They also tend to have better health benefits, which can save a lot of money over time,' Kaiden said. The downside? Salaries in government roles are often lower than in the private sector and career advancement can take longer. If you're good with people and like setting your own hours, becoming a real estate agent may be a great first job, Lokenauth said. Real estate agents can write off car expenses, home office costs, marketing expenses and even phone bills. 'You're technically self-employed, so you'll need to handle your own taxes and benefits. But with proper planning, you can often keep your effective tax rate much lower than traditional employees.' Real estate agents earn an average of around $85,000, though it can be significantly more depending on location. Truck drivers receive special per diem tax deductions that most professions don't, Lokenauth said. 'You can write off meals and incidental expenses without receipts using standard rates. Plus, there are deductions for things like sleeping supplies and satellite radio subscriptions.' The downside is that you're away from home a lot. 'But for someone who loves the open road and wants to maximize their take-home pay, this career path offers some sweet tax perks.' Kaiden warned that paying lower taxes should not be the only consideration when choosing a job. 'A job that saves you money on taxes isn't necessarily a better job. What matters is how much you actually take home, what benefits come with it and whether it sets you up for financial stability long term.' Taxes are part of the equation, but they aren't the whole story.
