Sana'a mayor launches extensive Eid al-Adha cleaning campaign
Sana'a – Saba: Mayor of the Capital Dr. Hamoud Ubad has launched a comprehensive cleaning campaign evening across Sana'a's districts in preparation for Eid al-Adha. The initiative aims to remove stalls, unsightly displays, and waste from streets and markets, improve the capital's appearance, and regulate traffic. The campaign, which began in key areas like Bab al-Yemen and various central markets, involved the Capital Sana'a, Cleanliness Fund, Public Works Office, and security directorates. Over 3,500 workers and 500 vehicles/equipment were deployed according to a detailed action plan. Mayor Ubad confirmed the widespread cleaning efforts on Eid eve, commending the participants' cooperation. He emphasized the need for continued stability in markets and strict supervision to prevent re-littering during the Eid holidays. Officials from the Cleanliness Fund and Public Works detailed their significant contributions of personnel and equipment to ensure the success of the campaign. Summer courses inspected in Sana'a's al-Sabeen district
Sana'a - Saba: Capital Sana'a undersecretary Ibrahim al-Makhdi and director of the slaughterhouse office in the Capital Sana'a Ahmed Idris on Saturday inspected the summer courses at Abu Ibrahim al-Qawbari School in al-Sabeen district. Al-Makhdi and Idris were briefed on the activities and programs offered to students, and heard from those in charge about the students' interaction and benefit in areas like Quran memorization, acquiring knowledge, and refining talents. They also listened to creative examples from al-Qawbari Summer School students, showcasing the diverse and beneficial activities they are engaged in. The officials praised the efforts of the course organizers and the students' interest and benefit. During the visit, the director of the slaughterhouse office provided financial and in-kind support to al-Qawbari Summer School, noting that the office's leadership has visited and supported several summer schools to contribute to their success. The Undersecretary of the Capital Sana'a stressed the importance of summer courses in protecting children from the dangers of "soft war," harmful cultures, and destructive ideas targeting youth, and in equipping them with science, awareness, Quranic culture, and faith identity.
