Oasis streaming soared at staggering rate after reunion tour announcement
Oasis streaming "went up by 750 percent" in one hour after their reunion announcement. The Don't Look Back In Anger hitmakers play the first of their highly anticipated Oasis Live '25 tour dates on Friday (04.07.25) at Cardiff's Principality, but the decision to get the band back together had proven lucrative even before tickets went on sale. Sarah Mansfield, head of creative and retail marketing at the group's label Big Brother, told Music Week magazine: "Streams went up 750 percent in the hour following the tour announcement and there were over 11 million Oasis streams on the day the tickets went on sale." Before the announcement last summer, it's reported that only three of the band's songs had made a significant dent in streaming. Their back catalogue's popularity on Apple Music and Spotify is said to have been far below acts like Coldplay and Imagine Dragons. However, the impact of the reunion tour goes behind digital music, with vinyl also seeing a "staggering" boost. Sarah added: "The uplift we've seen since the tour announcement has been staggering, vinyl particularly; it's mad how much it sells. "It's also really important to Noel and Liam... they still view the album as a physical product." This week, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher revealed plans for a special 30th anniversary reissue of (What's The Story) Morning Glory? featuring newly released unplugged versions of classic tracks. The deluxe version of the album will be released on October 3, a day after the Britpop icons released their seminal second record in 1995, and will feature unplugged versions of Cast No Shadow, Morning Glory, Wonderwall, Acquiesce and Champagne Supernova. The new acoustic tracks have been produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho from the original master recordings at Noel's Lone Star Sound studio in London. The deluxe album features new artwork shot by the original sleeve designer Brian Cannon and new sleeve notes. Exclusive coloured vinyl formats will also be available to fans, including the indie record store exclusive Cast No Shadow inspired Crystal Clear 3xLP, a HMV Morning Glory inspired blue marble 3XLP, an Amazon exclusive Wonderwall inspired sepia marble 3XLP and an official store exclusive Acquiesce inspired neon orange 3XLP. All formats will include the 2014 remastered version of the album together with the new bonus versions.

Liam Gallagher says crew have 'no friends' as Oasis release five new tracks
The tour will kick off this Friday in Cardiff. Liam Gallagher has responded cheekily to reports that Oasis crew have not been given tickets to the reunion tour, by claiming 'they don't have friends'. The Gallagher brothers' iconic Britpop band will make a huge comeback when their tour kicks off on Friday at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. They have also announced a new release which will feature five unheard recordings. The show in Cardiff is the first of 19 being held across the UK and Ireland including three Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium gigs on August 8, 9 and 12. On Sunday, The Mirror reported that the band's crew had not been given access to complementary tickets for the shows, despite them being set to join them on their trips to Japan, South Korea, Australia and South America. They quoted a source saying: 'The crew are all fuming. Many of them have toured with other big-name artists and have never known anything like it. All Oasis seem to care about it making as much money as they can. Is this about fans, or is the truth that it's all about the money?' Liam took to X later on Sunday to respond to the claims. 'Our crew members don't have friends and there [sic] wife's and husbands are glad to see the f***ing backs of them,' he wrote. He added that their loved ones 'tell me n rkid everytime we see them they don't know how we put up with them on a daily basis let alone go around the fucking world with them fyi.' Gallagher also responded to one commenter who had replied: 'As if they aren't already living the dream just going on the tour.' 'Exactly,' the singer wrote. Liam also recently revealed that the opening show in Cardiff will kick off at 8.15pm. He said: 'Don't be late or we'll start without you and you don't want that now do ya'. The UK and Ireland run includes seven shows at London's Wembley Stadium. The band will also head to Canada, the US, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil. The 2025 tour consists of 41 dates in total, ending on November 23 in São Paulo. Earlier this week, the band also teased that extra tickets will be made available to fans soo. Oasis are to released a 30th anniversary edition of their classic album (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
