'I don't have any particular style. As I get more experience, my personal style will come forward. I like having communication with players and talking to them. I want to make a bond with players. It is important. Understand their weakness. If players feel secure, they can give 100%,' he added. No confirmation on how many Tests Bumrah will play Gautam Gambhir confirmed Jasprit Bumrah will not play all five Test matches and added that India haven't yet decided which three games he will take part in. The selectors had earlier said Bumrah won't play all five matches due to workload management. 'Not decided which 3 Tests Jasprit Bumrah will play. Lot will depend on the results and where the series is heading,' Gambhir said. 'We have picked enough bowlers. Lot of our of pacers are in great space to win us Test matches from any position. When you have someone like Jasprit Bumrah, depending on how many matches he plays, will be a great sight for us. It's difficult to replace Jasprit Bumrah but I said during Champions trophy, we have enough quality,' he added. Gill on his poor batting form in Tests Gill also talked about his poor batting form in Test cricket. He said that while he is a captain, his main focus as a batter is to score runs and help India win matches. In 32 matches, Gill has scored 1893 runs and five centuries at an average of 35. 'As captain, you want to win every match, but when I am out there as a batter, my focus is only on scoring as many runs as possible for the benefit of my team. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Gambhir says pressure is always there Gambhir admitted that there is always pressure when coaching the Indian team, regardless of the opponent or result. 'I am always under pressure. After New Zealand, yes, I am under pressure. After Australia, I am under pressure. After Champions Trophy, I am under pressure. I am under exactly the same pressure irrespective of results,' he said. Karun Nair's County experience will help Gambhir praised Karun Nair for his good form and experience playing in England's domestic County circuit. Nair received a Test call-up after 8 years. The last time he played for India was against Australia in 2017. 'It's great for domestic cricket. It's always great to have players who have played country cricket. He got a double hundred for India A. We will not judge him on 1-2 matches. You guys can, we will not,' Gambhir said. Gambhir reacts to Bengaluru tragedy Gambhir also spoke about the stampede in Bengaluru that killed 11 people during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) IPL 2025 victory celebrations. Gambhir condemned the incident, saying that he was never a believer in roadshows. 'I was never a believer that we need to have roadshows. Even when I was playing, I had the same statement – when we won the 2007 T20 World Cup, I was of the opinion that we shouldn't have roadshows. (The) life of people is far more important," Gambhir said. 'If at all there is need for a celebration, it can be held in a closed-door environment or inside a stadium. It is very tragic what happened yesterday and my heart goes out to those who have lost their loved ones. Hopefully in future, nothing like this happens because we are responsible citizens and we should take care of all this,' he added. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

LSG is the team KL Rahul would be wanting to perform against: Cheteshwar Pujara

India batter Cheteshwar Pujara feels KL Rahul would want to score against his former team, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as Delhi Capitals take them on in their next fixture on Tuesday, April 22. Rahul captained LSG for three seasons and led them to the playoffs twice before the franchise decided to release him ahead of the mega auction for the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025).advertisementHe was bought by Delhi Capitals (DC) in the mega auction for Rs 14 Crore and has been having a prolific season for them. In the six innings played in the ongoing edition so far, Rahul has scored 266 runs at an average of 53.20 with two half-centuries to his name. Ahead of DC's fixture against LSG, Pujara mentioned that Rahul would be keen to score against Lucknow.'I think as a professional cricketer you try and move on from what has happened in the past, but at the same time there's a little bit which always plays in your mind. So this is the team he might be wanting to perform against, but not a lot. I would say that even if it is, it'll be just 10-20% which might play on his mind, but apart from that, I don't think he will be thinking too much about performing against LSG,' Pujara said on Furthermore, Pujara mentioned how Rahul has looked a different player this season as he's batting with a lot more freedom and is not carrying any extra baggage.'With the way he's batting, it is definitely different. He has a bit more freedom, the kind of shots which he's playing, it looks like he has gained a lot of confidence from Champions trophy and the way he is performing across formats, so he is definitely a confident player now. There were times where he was carrying a lot of baggage, but now he has cleared all those things, and now he's in his zone. So in that way I would say emotionally he's a lot more balanced. There are times where he thought a lot about what was happening outside the bubble, which I'm sure he is not doing it now,' he played crucial knocks for India during their victorious run in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as he took the team over the finishing line with his handy contributions in the middle order. He accumulated 140 runs from four innings at an average of 140 and a strike rate of 97.90. Pak players manhandled after NZ whitewash

Pakistan cricket team players were abused and manhandled by irate fans after their 3-0 whitewash at the hands of New Zealand in Mount Maunganui on Saturday with allrounder Khushdil Shah coming to blows with a fan. Police said two fans were expelled from the Bay Oval Stadium on Pakistan team management's complaint after exchange of hot words with Khushdil and Babar Azam. A video footage sent to by a fan showed Khushdil and star batter Babar trying to trace a man who was constantly chanting against Pakistan and team players. Khushdil said anything against the country was not accepted and slogans angered him no end. "They were criticising players and the team but when they started abusing my country I got angry and went to this man but he did not stop. It was only after that I confronted him, Khushdil told Pakistan team management said some Afghan nationals escalated the tension. An official statement said there was some trouble from the crowd and a few Afghan spectators escalated the situation by using further inappropriate language over which Khushdil went to them and tried to stop them. Following the Pakistani team's complaint, stadium officials intervened and ejected the two disruptive spectators. Photos circulating on social media showed Khushdil is stopped by a Pakistan reserve player Irfan Khan and a policeman as he tried to cross the fence to take on the abusing fan. Pakistanis residing in New Zealand were at the Bay Oval in good numbers but were left disappointed at the team's performance. Haroon Ali told from Mount Maunganui: "We came from Auckland to watch the match with family but were left hugely disappointed as the Pakistan team played poorly. "In fact, all my Indian colleagues in the office mocked us over the team's showing during this tour. We watched all the matches of the Champions trophy on the internet and were left shocked and angry at the team's winless campaign. Cricket is the only sport which gives us some entertainment and we enjoy it away from home."
