Dunelm's 'charming' £20 bistro garden chair 'looks great all year round'

Dunelm has wowed shoppers with the 'brilliant' bistro chair that's available in two different colours Families gearing up for summer fun are snapping up outdoor furniture, and one particular "stunning" £20 Dunelm chair is proving to be a popular choice with shoppers. Customers love the Rattan Bistro Chair, which comes in two colour options. Customers can choose from an all-black chair or a natural chair with black accents. Dunelm says: "This Rattan Bistro Chair is all about comfort and style, with sturdy, metal construction and a durable woven rattan seat and back. Its stackable design lets you store it indoors or out, so you can use it year-round in any room of the house that needs an extra dose of charm." Reviewers rated the chair highly, awarding it an average rating of 4.7 out of five. However, it's just one of many options for those keen to spruce up their garden, reports the Mirror. Elsewhere, shoppers might like the Argos Home Resin Rattan Effect Stacking Garden Chair for £14 or The Range's Outsunny Garden Chairs Set of 4 Stackable Rattan Effect for £89.99. Meanwhile, those looking for something different might prefer Next's Charles Bentley Natural Garden Wooden Director's Chairs for £110. Reviewing Dunelm's Rattan Bistro Chair, a buyer praised: "Love the colour of this comfortable garden chair. It's solid construction with all weather finish means it will be cheering up my garden for years to come." A second said: "These look fantastic in my garden. Great value for money." Another shopper thought: "Excellent quality and value. Looks stunning in my summerhouse/crafting studio paired with a Dunelm Jute seat pad. Highly recommend." A different reviewer added: "This is an excellent garden chair. Perfect size and such good quality. Extremely easy to move around and the price is brilliant." A shopper commented: "Just what we needed! We don't sit in the garden that often with our variable English weather so did not want to spend a lot of money on new chairs. These fitted with our existing table, are very lightweight, stackable and excellent value. Comfy too!" However, someone with mixed feedback wrote: "Quality of the chairs are excellent but... Very small and neat. Not built for a larger person to sit on. We had a slight problem whereby my son in Law could not fit on the chair!!! would recommend though as they are well made." A different reviewer claimed: "I bought 4 of these chairs last year, 2 grey and 2 turquoise. Unfortunately the turquoise ones have split and are not repairable. They have been stored etc in the same way (...). I am not impressed and won't be purchasing again." Another replied: "I bought the Seafoam colour and they have lasted just two seasons - always under a cover, and stored inside over winter. Took them out this spring, and all the rattan is breaking into pieces. What a shame." Meanwhile, someone said: "Very thin coating of paint easily scratched off before I got them home even scratched off under protective packaging cheap and cheerful but not sure they will last more than 1 year and definitely not if left outside." Other Dunelm options include the £39 Steel Garden Chair White, £49 Riviera Chair Jade and White, and £99 Sophie Robinson Café Bistro Chair. The product description for the £39 chair states: "Comfortable and sturdy, it's ideal for relaxing in your garden or on the patio. With its simple, stylish design, this chair adds a touch of practicality and elegance to any outdoor space."

Top gardening trends of 2025 Gardening experts at Barnsdale Gardens has shared the top gardening trends of 2025. Matrix planting It seems that a top planting trend for this year is going to be Matrix Planting. In essence, planting in groups or blocks to give an effect of being wild whilst actually being carefully managed. Selection of the plants is essential, to give year-round interest either with flowers, seed heads or frosted/snowy spent flower heads. Some recommend using plants that seed around, but this could make managing your matrix planting harder to keep under control. Chrysanthemum comeback I hope that the humble Chrysanthemum makes as much of a comeback this year as Dahlias have over recent years, because the simple single flowered types, such as 'Innocence' and 'Cottage Apricot' would be spectacular within a matrix scheme. The hardy varieties are so easy to grow in a sunny spot and give such a valuable burst of late summer and autumn colour that would lift any dull- looking border. Blended borders For some time now we have been promoting the growing of veg within ornamental borders and I think this could really take off this year. The choice of ornamental-looking varieties available in seed catalogues is phenomenal and, if managed correctly, visitors to your garden will not even realise that you have veg growing! Must-have tool My secret is out. I discovered the Hori Hori a couple of years ago and now it seems so is everyone else. It is such a well-made, adaptable tool that can be used as a trowel or weeding tool in the garden that and everyone I speak to who have used it absolutely would not now be without it. Enough said! Remember to compare prices It is important to remember to always shop around when buying something like this as you might find a cheaper alternative. Four savvy ways to make use of lemons around the house

WHEN life gives you lemons, don't just make lemonade. The versatile citrus fruit is the key to many household task hacks. 7 We have four savvy ways to make use of lemons around the house Credit: Getty From cleaning your kitchen to getting insects to buzz off, a bowl of lemons could benefit every home. SIMPLY THE ZEST: Citric acid in lemons is antibacterial and antiseptic, so has lots of uses around the house. If your chopping board needs a refresh, sprinkle it with salt and scrub the surface with half a lemon to give it a new lease of life. You can also put half a lemon in a bowl of water then pop it in the microwave on high. Once the water heats up, which will only take a few seconds, the citrusy steam will loosen the dirt inside the appliance, making it easier to clean. COLD COMFORT: It is cheaper to buy lemons by the bag but that may mean that some of the fruit gets wasted. Instead of letting them get overripe then throwing them away, cut any you won't use in time into slices and freeze flat, before bagging them up for whenever you need them. You can even put small slices into ice cube trays then top up with water. The lemony cubes can go straight in a drink. PEST OF THE REST: Lemons' strong citrusy smell is great for deterring ants, flies and other pests. Mix one part lemon juice to three parts water and squirt it around doors and on windowsills to make ants do a U-turn. Mrs Hinch shares her top tips for the big spring clean – from vacuuming your mattress to washing oven trays in the bath To make flies buzz off, cut a lemon in half and stud the flesh with whole cloves. SQUEEZY START: A lemon drink to start the day is said to aid digestion and boost immunity and hydration. To make one, mix the juice of half a lemon with a teaspoon of honey then add just boiled water. You can also add lemon juice to fresh grated ginger and turmeric. Mix and freeze in ice cube trays. Pop a cube out and stir into boiling water for a speedy goodness-packed drink. Sieve if you don't like the bits. All prices on page correct at time of going to press.
