Chase Daniel breaks down training camp film of Broncos QB Bo Nix
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been honing his craft in preparation for the 2025 NFL season, and the experts are taking notice. Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel recently attended Broncos training camp alongside The Athletic's Diana Russini, and he was pleasantly surprised with the progress Nix has shown from 2024 to now. "I'm telling you, Bo Nix looks excellent," Daniel said on his YouTube channel. "He's ready to make a huge jump into year two." In his eight-minute assessment of Nix, Daniel complimented Nix's quick footwork, crisp passes on both downfield and intermediate throws and his improved mechanics after working with throwing guru Tom House. For example, at one point while looking at a clip of Nix taking a dropback, Daniels remarked, "That's the quickest five-step drop you could possibly take." As a former quarterback himself, Daniel then took viewers through why he likes what he sees. "I like these type of drills; this is really cool. (It is) a little peek under the hood of how things are made in a perfect throw," said Daniel. Daniel reviewed about 10 throws from Nix, showing how his game has taken a dramatic step forward going into 2025. "I am bullish on the Denver Broncos," said Daniel. "I think they have everything they need." Steelers HC Mike Tomlin has come under fire after news of the Aaron Rodgers signing broke — and former NFL QB Chase Daniel isn't holding back. Back in January, Tomlin claimed that "it's not like doing I've been doing the same things over [and over]" — but Daniel explained that the Rodgers signing proves the exact opposite (courtesy of The Facility): Advertisement "That's completely false, because you have been doing the same thing over and over. The Steelers have been in this situation before — an aging quarterback, trying to resurrect his career, that needs to be propped up by the NFL's most expensive defense. They tried to muddle last season with 36-year-old Russell Wilson — what did it get them? A first-round exit — not a playoff win. Russell Wilson went 6-5," Daniel criticized. "They did it with Big Ben [Roethlisberger] in his late 30s for a few years — Ben was 9-7 his last season. It didn't work. They're trying to do it again with Aaron Rodgers this year — in what possibly could be Aaron Rodgers' last season as a pro." Daniel would conclude with a powerful criticism of Tomlin's strategy over the past few years — one that many Steelers fans may agree with: "[The Steelers are] doing exactly what Mike Tomlin said he wasn't doing, and the definition of that in the dictionary — if I'm not wrong, [Emmanuel] Acho — is insanity." Former NFL QB Confident Eagles Will Repeat as Champions

In the past 20 years, only the Kansas City Chiefs have pulled off winning back-to-back Super Bowls. Despite it being such a rare feat, one former player is confident the Philadelphia Eagles are primed to capture a second straight title in 2025. While appearing on "The Facility" earlier this week, Chase Daniel was asked his thoughts on the Eagles' chances of repeating as Super Bowl champions. He feels very good about their ability to do so, citing that the organization has little to no weak points across all levels. "I expect the Eagles to repeat," Daniel said. "They're the most well constructed team in the NFL. Like top to bottom. Coaches, to the 53rd player, to their practice squad, to their GM, to their receiver room. They are bringing back a large portion of last year's roster, and their key talents are either nearing or in their primes. They'll still be one of the best running teams with Saquon Barkley coming off a historic season. On top of that, Jalen Hurts has an array of weapons around him when it comes to the passing game. Moving on to the defense, the Eagles have no shortage of exciting young talent. Now with another year of experience and training camp under their belt, they are sure to be a force to be reckoned with. While there's no denying the Eagles have the personnel to capture another championship, going out and doing it is an entirely different story. Numerous teams made sizable upgrades during the offseason in hopes of knocking them off. Two teams are in their own division in the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders. The road won't be easy, but there is a window of opportunity for the Eagles to join the exclusive group of teams to win back-to-back championships. They'll just have to rely on the gritty nature that got them to the mountaintop last year. It takes an entire team to capture a championship, but one make-or-break factor in their tile aspirations is Hurts. As the quarterback and primary leader in the locker room, a lot falls on his shoulders. At the end of the day, the Eagles will only make it as far as he can take them. Luckily for them, there are few players in the league with more confidence in themselves than him.

Former Saints QB Chase Daniel reflects on heartbreaking playoff losses 'I've been a part of some of the worst playoff losses in NFL history' Chase Daniel has done really well for himself, especially at the bank. He earned a whopping $43.1 million through 14 years as an NFL backup quarterback, spending time with seven different teams -- most notably the New Orleans Saints, where he spent five years of his career. Daniel won a Super Bowl ring with the Saints as a rookie in 2009 and later returned to the team in 2017. While he was inactive for many of them, he had a front-row seat to many playoff games along the way. And from where he stands, while he didn't throw many passes himself, he didn't exactly have an easy time of it in the league. "I've been a part of some of the worst playoff losses in NFL history," Daniel wrote on social media, rattling off a series of painful exits in the postseason. He watched Marshawn Lynch run wild in the "Beast Quake" game during the 2010 playoffs with the Saints, then saw Stefon Diggs do the same in the 2017 "Minneapolis Miracle" (also called the Minnesota Miracle). And that was just with New Orleans. As a member of the Chicago Bears in 2018, Daniel saw a rare "Double Doink" field goal try bounce off of the left upright and onto the crossbar before falling to the turf, ending Chicago's season. He's seen history made, too. Daniel was the Kansas City Chiefs' backup quarterback in a 2013 wild-card game they initially led 38-10, but lost 45-44 after Andrew Luck rallied the Indianapolis Colts with four touchdown passes and another score off of a wacky fumble recovery. Just a few years ago in the 2022 playoffs, Daniel was a member of the Los Angeles Chargers when they took a 27-0 lead and squandered it, losing 31-30 to the Jacksonville Jaguars. That's a brutal legacy to put together. That Daniel woke up in a cold sweat at his lovely California home, got on his phone at just after 6 a.m. California time, and reflected on all those defeats in a tweet speaks volumes. Losing is never easy. Between his time with the Saints and a few other unfortunate teams, he's had to deal with more heartbreaking season-ending losses than most.
