Former NFL QB Confident Eagles Will Repeat as Champions

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources.
In the past 20 years, only the Kansas City Chiefs have pulled off winning back-to-back Super Bowls. Despite it being such a rare feat, one former player is confident the Philadelphia Eagles are primed to capture a second straight title in 2025.
While appearing on "The Facility" earlier this week, Chase Daniel was asked his thoughts on the Eagles' chances of repeating as Super Bowl champions. He feels very good about their ability to do so, citing that the organization has little to no weak points across all levels.
"I expect the Eagles to repeat," Daniel said. "They're the most well constructed team in the NFL. Like top to bottom. Coaches, to the 53rd player, to their practice squad, to their GM, to their receiver room. Everything you look at them and there's really no weaknesses."

Heading into the 2025 season, it's hard not to feel confident in the Eagles' ability to be the last team standing again. They are bringing back a large portion of last year's roster, and their key talents are either nearing or in their primes.

They'll still be one of the best running teams with Saquon Barkley coming off a historic season. On top of that, Jalen Hurts has an array of weapons around him when it comes to the passing game.
Moving on to the defense, the Eagles have no shortage of exciting young talent. Now with another year of experience and training camp under their belt, they are sure to be a force to be reckoned with.
While there's no denying the Eagles have the personnel to capture another championship, going out and doing it is an entirely different story. Numerous teams made sizable upgrades during the offseason in hopes of knocking them off. Two teams are in their own division in the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders.
The road won't be easy, but there is a window of opportunity for the Eagles to join the exclusive group of teams to win back-to-back championships. They'll just have to rely on the gritty nature that got them to the mountaintop last year.
It takes an entire team to capture a championship, but one make-or-break factor in their tile aspirations is Hurts. As the quarterback and primary leader in the locker room, a lot falls on his shoulders. At the end of the day, the Eagles will only make it as far as he can take them. Luckily for them, there are few players in the league with more confidence in themselves than him.

Lamar Jackson Faces Backlash for Big $1.5 Million Decision

Lamar Jackson Faces Backlash for Big $1.5 Million Decision originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Baltimore Ravens have wrapped up voluntary OTAs, and the most noticeable absence was star quarterback Lamar Jackson, who chose to skip the sessions for the second consecutive year. Advertisement That decision carries financial consequences due to the structure of Jackson's contract. Much like the approach often used by the Dallas Cowboys, the deal Jackson signed in 2023 includes annual $750,000 workout bonuses in 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027. To earn each bonus, Jackson is required to attend at least 80% of the team's offseason workouts. Now, after missing workouts for a second straight year, Jackson has forfeited a total of $1.5 million in potential bonus money. Jackson has faced backlash from fans who believe he should be attending workouts, especially after multiple playoff exits. A fan said, "Maybe they'd beat the Chiefs if he gave a [explicit]." Advertisement Someone else added, "Why did his 'agent' allow that money to be put into workouts he had no intention of attending?" Another fan posted, "Another example of why he will never win a Super Bowl. Tom Brady never missed these workouts btw, and he was levels above you pal." "He should never complain about a contract ever again. If you can afford to not collect 1.5 million," one more fan commented. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (8).Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images Showing up to voluntary workouts or not has not noticeably affected Jackson's on-field performance, as he has consistently been one of the NFL's best players year after year. That said, as the leader of a franchise, there are expectations that come with the role. When you don't have the ultimate goal—a Lombardi Trophy—to show for it, especially when your peers like Patrick Mahomes do, it naturally invites some criticism and heat. Vic Fangio: Good news is Jalen Carter played well and can still improve a lot

Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter has made a big impact in his first two NFL seasons, but defensive coordinator Vic Fangio thinks there's plenty of upside left for the 2023 first-round pick. Carter was a second-team All-Pro after recording 42 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles during the regular season and he had two more sacks and a forced fumble in the team's playoff win over the Rams. During a press conference this week, Fangio was asked his thoughts about what the future holds for Carter. 'The good news about Jalen is twofold,' Fangio said, via a transcript from the team. 'One, he played very well for us last year, and two, he can still improve a lot.' Carter isn't arguing with that assessment. Carter mentioned Chris Jones and Dexter Lawrence while discussing the best defensive tackles in the league and said his goal is to reach that level as well. 'This is what I wanted to do,' Carter said, via Dave Zangaro of 'I wanted to be the best at what I do, try to be the best. I'm not there yet. I still got a lot of people in front of me that's obviously been in the league a couple [more] years, got years of experience on me. But I'm just going to keep grinding every day. Not just me by myself working on specific things to get better, just being around the team having the guys support me also makes me also be one of the best in the league.' Repeating as Super Bowl champions is difficult, but it'll be a little easier if Carter can continue ascending as rapidly as he has the last two years.
