Blackpink's Jennie admits she is hopeless romantic, says ‘fate disappointed me'; opens up about her ideal type

BLACKPINK's Jennie recently sat down for a fun chat with YouTuber Amelia Dimoldenberg on Chicken Shop Date and made some exciting confessions about her take on love, life, and her ideal type. The South Korean rapper has often been linked to fellow K-pop stars over the years. While Jennie herself has always stayed tight-lipped about her dating life, this time she did admit that she considers herself a very romantic person and is usually the one to take the first step. The Ruby singer also confessed that she's a big believer in love at first sight. Also read: BTS' RM and Jungkook admit Kim Taehyung has changed: 'We can't keep up anymore, he's stronger' During the 10 minute quick chat, the singer was asked if she's a romantic person, to which she replied, 'I consider myself to be very romantic.' When asked in what way, she added, 'I like to surprise my date.' On what could be the best compliment she'd give someone, Jennie said she doesn't like people easily, so when she does, she tells them that, according to her, could be taken as a compliment. Jennie was also quizzed on how often she gets a love hangover, and she playfully said, 'Maybe every other weekend.' She admitted she's not a fan of those hangovers, but she can't really avoid them either. Also read: 'BLACKPINK's new track is so bad, it's hilarious': Fans slam 'JUMP' as a 'B-class' song In South Korea, idol culture often keeps stars from being too open about their dating life, but fans were glad Jennie was so candid. Later in the chat, when Amelia asked if she believes in fate, Jennie said, 'I do,' but followed it up with, 'Fate has disappointed me.' She added it's less now, and she's back to deciding her own fate. When asked if having a crush excites her, Jennie said, 'I haven't been on a date in a very long time, so this is exhilarating.' As for her ideal type, she shared, 'I don't like cute guys. Sexy guys don't know they're sexy, but cute guys know they're cute.' And when asked if she'd date someone with no rhythm, Jennie replied, 'Rhythm is so important. It's everything. I don't want to date someone who's so stiff.' Jennie's dating life has always been a hot topic. The singer was first reported to be dating EXO's Kai during her debut era. They publicly dated from October 2018 to January 2019, with SM Entertainment confirming the relationship at the time. Old clips still resurface online showing the two stealing glances at public events. When the Chicken Shop Date host asked Jennie if she believes in love at first sight, Jennie replied, 'That's been my life,' adding, 'I know instantly whether it's gonna work or not.' Fans felt she might've been hinting at one of those times where her romance fizzled before turning into a fairytale ending. She was also linked to BIGBANG's G-Dragon. More recently, she's been rumoured to be dating BTS' Kim Taehyung, aka V. Fans have pieced together clues, but neither side has ever confirmed anything. Reports say they parted ways in 2024 before V enlisted for military service. On the work front, she's back with her fellow BLACKPINK members Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo. The group, still under YG, kicked off their Deadline World Tour earlier this month.

Meet The Under-The-Radar Summer Capsule That's About To Go Viral, Very Soon

Nothing in life is certain, except as they say, death and taxes; and well, the internet's obsession with Amelia Dimoldenberg's new flirtationship of the week. From Andrew Garfield and Damson Idris to Bella Hadid, the chicken nugget-fanatic has charmed all our faves (and us) with her personal brand of awkward deadpan one-liners. Naturally, her show Chicken Shop Date is a highly discussed monthly event here in the Grazia offices. However, it's not just her resting bitch face and chemistry with her famous co-stars that have us hooked; it's her impressive fashion choices. From custom Chopova Lowena and full Miu Miu looks on the red carpet to repping cool girl-faves including Coperni and Shushu Tong on her dates, Dimoldenberg's style is ridiculously good. So it was hardly a surprise when she announced her collaboration with Y2K-inspired label Peachy Den. London-based Peachy Den is something of a cult legend in fashion circles, having amassed an A-list fan following including Olivia Dean, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, Raye, and Mia Regan (who just released a covetable collab with H&M). You might have seen the brand's gingham co-ord set on every stylish Londoner (and her friend) last summer. It stands to reason, then, that the Peachy Den x Amelia Dimoldenberg collection can expect a similar response. Launching today, 17th July 2025, this new 10-piece capsule was first teased in Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date With Bella Hadid, where she wore a slogan tee cheekily emblazoned with the phrase 'Flirty'. Another piece from the capsule also made its way to her date with Addison Rae: a sparkly metallic knitted top that could easily fit in at a club in the Noughties. Standing right where Peachy Den's sculptural designs meet Dimoldenberg's tongue-in-cheek personality, the collection features a carousel of pieces that feel as nostalgic as they are trendy. Think halter-neck tops, bandeau dresses and even a mini skort. Rounding out the playful collection is, obviously, the famous slogan tee which, as expected, is already out of stock. Peachy Den's smocked Deba set was so popular that it became an instant bestseller for the brand, selling out faster than most shoppers would have liked. Now, with the fashion set already excited for the brand's Amelia Dimoldenberg collab and the Flirt Tee selling out at record speed, we'd wager a guess that the rest of the collection will be flying off the online shelves before the weekend. So why not save yourself the regret and stock up on your It girl summer wardrobe while stocks last below. No makeup is this summer's hottest trend led by Addison Rae and Pamela Anderson

As more major celebrities embrace the natural look on red carpets and in interviews, it provokes the question: is no-makeup becoming a new trend in the beauty sphere? From Lorde to Addison Rae, it appears the summer's biggest stars are promoting a more natural look. Now it begs the question: are we in for a makeup-free movement? ‌ Leading the charge is Pamela Anderson, former Baywatch bombshell, who has been making headlines for her revolutionary new look, donning a completely natural face. The 58-year-old was once known for her bouncy hair and intense smoky eyes. However, now she's sporting a much more pared-back look to major events, including the 2025 BAFTAs. ‌ In a recent interview with How To Fail podcast, she told host Elizabeth Day: '[I'm] not trying to chase youth. That's just been fed to us, to look as young as we possibly can for as long as we possibly can.' ‌ She continued: 'I have my own insecurities… But that's the challenge, to embrace those parts of yourself. Even the ones that you don't necessarily like a lot.' However, other, younger stars have also been embracing their natural looks too. Addison Rae has recently made waves for wearing what appears to be very little or no makeup on her Addison press run. ‌ In an interview with Amelia Dimoldenberg for Chicken Shop Date, the TikTok star surprised and delighted fans by wearing a barely-there makeup look. 'Yes that's so nice and refreshing to see,' one TikTok user wrote. 'It's so big for the no makeup girls,' another said. 'She's inspired me so much lately to shed the layers and start over!' a third added. 'This is the influence we need too cause the glitz and glam is nice but this is refreshing.' ‌ Lorde is another major singer who has long been known for her makeup-free looks. The 28-year-old New Zealander has made many major bare-faced appearances in the past, including her 2021 interview on The Late Show with Seth Meyers. Most recently, she has been sporting very natural looks for the promotion of her new album Virgin. For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. ‌ Of course, it's not a completely new concept. In 2016, British singer Alicia Keys stopped wearing makeup for a period of time as a reclamation of her natural beauty. She went makeup free while shooting for the cover of her single In Common and, at the time, she wrote in a Lenny Letter essay that she felt 'the strongest, most empowered, most free, and most honestly beautiful that I have ever felt', as reported by Women's Wear Daily. At the time, Alicia's decision was enough to cause a major media stir. Now, with more big stars pushing the boundaries of beauty and Hollywood's rigid standards, it may start seeming far more normal. After all, we've become far more used to seeing celebrities posting unfiltered TikTok's in bed and sharing their makeup routines. Of course, there is also the argument that the no makeup may also serve as a clever marketing strategy. In an age when plastic surgery and filters are at an all-time high-time, authenticity – including authenticity in appearance – is gold. As seen with Addison's press run, no makeup (or even just appearing to wear no makeup), can make stars seem far more real. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below. We'd love to hear from you!

Jonathan Bailey says Bridgerton taught him nothing about romance: 'It's fantasy, isn't it?'

Jonathan Bailey is happily the man of the hour in Hollywood. Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley in Bridgerton season 2(Photo: X) The 37-year-old actor who has his breakout role as Anthony Bridgerton with season 2 of the regency-era romance series, hasn't had any respite from the spotlight since, and happily so. Now while many may consider Bridgerton, across all its three seasons, to be the epitome of gilded romance, Jonathan begs to differ — respectfully. The actor was among the recent appearances on Amelia Dimoldenberg's nifty Chicken Shop Date interview series. Among the many kitschy questions and head-on flirting, Amelia asked Jonathan if he thinks starring front and centre in Bridgerton has made him "better at romance". Now Jonathan's answer may surprise the staunchly rooted fandom, still galivanting over Anthony and Kate Sharma's slow burn romance. He said, 'No! It was a fantasy, isn't it? Romance is grounded and real'. Well that's that we guess. Amelia also asked Jonathan what he finds sexy and the heartthrob had the chicest answer up his sleeve. "Confidence. Calm. Twinkle" — "twinkle in the eye?", Amelia confirmed to which he smirked, "Anywhere". The conversation then of course descended into a bout of little flirting, as it always delightfully does. with Amelia pacifying herself by stating that she knows he's not available but that she's fine with it. To that, Jonathan quipped, "I'm available, but there's like a genetic predisposition". For context, the actor publicly came out as gay in 2018. On the work front, Jonathan starred in Wicked last year, as Fiyero along side Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. He's had a big year with 2025 as well, with him leading Jurassic World Rebirth as Dr. Henry Loomis along side his newfound bestie Scarlett Johansson. Coming back to the very fun chemistry between Amelia and Jonathan (no shocker there), the Chicken Shop Date episode is available for streaming on YouTube. As for the Bridgerton, that one's always up for a re-watch on OTT.
