Andrew Roachford to headline 2025 Child of Wales Awards
The rock and soul artist, known for his chart-topping hits and songwriting for legends such as Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan, will perform at Swansea Arena on September 12. Mr Roachford said: "I'm honoured to perform at an event which shines a light on a brave group of children and young people in Wales who face hardships and challenges every day, yet never give up. "It will be a very special evening full of inspiring people and stories and I'm very much looking forward to it." Blanche Sainsbury, founder of the awards said that she was delighted that Mr Roachford would be on board. The Child of Wales Awards celebrate the achievements of young people and raise funds for charities supporting children across Wales. Headline act announced for Child of Wales awards The event celebrates the achievements of young people Roachford plays with the SAS Band during Wickham Festival The headline act has been announced for this year's Child of Wales awards. Andrew Roachford MBE will top the bill at the 2025 event. Rocahford has released 10 studio albums after starting as a song writer for the likes of Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan. This year he is performing at almost 100 live shows and joined Mike and the Mechanics on tour with shows in South Africa, the UK and Germany. He will head to Australia and New Zealand for his own headline tour. Roachford and his band will perform at the annual Child of Wales Awards in Swansea Arena on Friday, September 12. The Child of Wales awards celebrates the achievements of young people, while raising money for charities in Wales dedicated to helping children.
