Andrew Roachford to headline 2025 Child of Wales Awards
Mr Roachford said: "I'm honoured to perform at an event which shines a light on a brave group of children and young people in Wales who face hardships and challenges every day, yet never give up.
"It will be a very special evening full of inspiring people and stories and I'm very much looking forward to it."
Blanche Sainsbury, founder of the awards said that she was delighted that Mr Roachford would be on board.
The Child of Wales Awards celebrate the achievements of young people and raise funds for charities supporting children across Wales.

One of Bravo's most controversial stars has left the US and locked down her social media accounts after getting death threats from viewers. Janet Caperna, who is the main antagonist on The Valley, fled to Switzerland with husband Jason and their 18-month-old son Cameron this week. The 35-year-old also locked down her Instagram page due to relentless trolling and death threats towards both herself and her child from fans of the show. In screenshots provided to online trolls are seen attacking Janet and her family in a series of vile messages. 'I hope you rot like you deserve,' wrote one. 'I hope your child grows up absolutely hating you.' Another wrote, 'I know where you live. I've seen where your son goes when you're not with him.' When contacted by for comment, Janet said that she was speaking out about the abuse to highlight how serious online trolling has become. 'I'm sick of threats and slurs being normalized because "we signed up for this when we joined reality TV." 'That's sick and not normal and I'm not ever going to pretend it's normal or acceptable to message strangers threats and slurs,' she said. 'It's sad to me that people go this far, it's definitely the worst part about this "job,"' she continued. 'I'm learning how to put boundaries on social media in place and learning as I go. I support healthy dialogue around reality TV and think some of the best conversations about modern culture stem from shows like ours. 'I'm far from perfect, and people are seeing the best and worst of all of us when we put our lives in front of cameras. My hope is people can have fun conversations about reality TV without going as far as some have recently.' The former celebrity assistant also went into detail about some of the vile threats she's received on the latest episode of her podcast, This Side of the Hill. Janet then explained that one of her most dedicated trolls had looked up the names of her family members online and then sent her hateful messages about them. 'This isn't constructive criticism,' Janet said. 'I understand that I put my life out there and I'm gonna get comments, good and bad, this isn't that,' she said. Both Janet and Jared also said that they were shocked to see that the majority of the hateful comments were coming from seemingly 'normal and sweet' women. One woman that threatened Janet was a successful family photographer, while another woman had photos of herself being a mom to her young son. 'It makes me wonder, how many people throughout my day am I interacting with that are like this behind closed doors?' she asked. 'Like, when I'm checking out at the grocery store, is that person messaging someone that they don't like hate like this?' Janet also alluded to one of her co-stars, who she referred to as a former friend, interacting with negative comments about her online. 'I had a former friend who responded to someone's comment questioning the safety of my child, questioning whether I had a drinking problem,' she said. US singer and Jimmy Fallon star goes BLIND in one eye amid mysterious health battle
Monica Martin revealed she was forced to cancel a performance due to an alarming health issue, which caused her to go blind in one eye. The singer-songwriter, who fronted the Baraboo alt-folk band PHOX before going solo, took to Instagram last week to detail her terrifying ordeal to her more than 69, 700 Instagram followers. 'What I thought was just an intense and painful ocular migraine slowly turned into my left eye going blind, I was advised to not fly home,' she wrote on Instagram as she explained why she would not be opening for the band, Lake Street Dive. Martin went on to state that she had been suffering from both a 'colorblind and a black hazy cellophane type feel' in her left eye for 15 days. 'ANYWAY it's been very disorienting and scary,' she admitted. 'Most of my little health woes are from me being clumsy as hell and snapping something: an ankle in softball, an ankle from dumb shoes, an ankle from giving a piggyback ride to a much larger person as a display of strength.' Martin said that this has 'been one of the scariest times' of her life, but praised her best friends for taking care of her and her 'angel ophthalmologist, Dr. Shaman Dolly.' 'God forbid you ever need to find him, London, I must let you know his name,' she said of her doctor. 'London show; you were all so sweet and caring to me when and I lost it and wept on stage smdh, @jameelajamil came to the stage and literally turned herself into a weighted blanket and held me and told me it's gonna be ok. 'My heart is heavy waiting on a prognosis, but my a** is heavier, and my resilience is alarming actually, and the lore disrespectfully deepens, and I'm getting the sense more people want to smash when I'm wearing my eyepatch- or, I'm pulling it off,' she concluded. In addition to providing her health update, she included a slideshow of images of herself and friends while wearing a black eye patch. Martin, who is close friends with actress Jameela Jamil, is best known for her music career and performing, alongside Mumford & Sons, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2022.
