Mormon Wives' Jessi Admits She Was ‘Confused' That Jen Lied to Zac About Chippendales Skit at Party
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wivesstar Jessi Ngatikaura admitted she was caught off guard when Jen Affleck lied to her husband, Zac Affleck, about a Chippendales skit in season 2 during an exclusive interview with In Touch. "I was confused," Jessi, 32, tells In Touch about the moment she learned Jen, 25, lied to Zac about the skit. After Jen and Zac got into an argument over her seeing a Chippendales performance during season 1, Jessi and Demi Engemann recruited their husbands Jordan Ngatikaura and Brett Engemann to do a Chippendales performance during a Halloween party in episode 2. Most of the people in attendance were visibly uncomfortable, including Zac. While Jen claimed to Zac that Jessi and Demi, 30, didn't let her know about the Chippendales skit, she was caught in a lie when footage showed the trio discussing the plan during episode 3. "Jen had told Demi and I that she wanted to do Chippendales as exposure therapy for her and Zac, and she was like, 'We're in a way better place. It would be so funny,'" Jessi recalls to In Touch. "And then to not tell him was shocking because we were like, 'Wait, this was honestly almost your idea. You were so down for it.' So we were just really confused." Jessi adds that she believes Jen and Zac were "still struggling" in their relationship at the time of the conflict. "But she wasn't wanting us to know that. So she put on a brave face to us and kind of put on a front that they were doing well when behind the scenes," she speculates. "And I think she maybe just thought if she didn't tell Zac. it wouldn't happen. But that kind of backfired." Not only does Jessi tease the conflict between Jen and Zac, but she also opens up about how season 1 differs from season 2 of the Hulu reality show. "Season 1 kind of felt like you were getting to know us a little bit," Jessi explains. "There was some backstory and playing catch up and this season we just let it all out and you get to see more of our friendship dynamics, our relationship dynamics and it feels like you get to peek behind the curtain a little bit more." While Jessi knows the drama that played out in her storylines, she says she's excited to see all of the other drama she wasn't directly involved in on season 2. "I always am really interested in seeing what I wasn't there for because I know what happens in group settings and when I film with other people, but I'm excited to see what happened in other people's personal lives that I heard about but didn't witness it," she says, noting that she likes to put "all the pieces together." Jessi adds that she hopes season 2 showcases more of the ensemble cast "because each of us bring our own interesting dynamic and strength to the group." She continues, "And MomTok wouldn't be what it is without each of us. It's not just about one or two people, it's about the sisterhood as a whole." The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives returns for season 2 on Hulu on Thursday, May 15. Copyright 2025 Us Weekly. All rights reserved.

Jersey Shore star reveals they made over $1M from stripping
Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino said he made over a million dollars stripping for Chippendales. The reality TV star, 37, appeared on an episode of Kayla Nicole's The Pre-Game podcast on Friday and talked about making money from showing off his toned body. 'It's great. I always tell people it's not like a strip club. I've made, like, over a million dollars doing it,' Vinny, known as the 'Italian stallion', said. Guadagnino started his Chippendales journey in Las Vegas in 2019 with a month-long guest host role and subsequently made return appearances. After Kayla appeared shocked by the amount, he explained: 'Because I've done so many. They're called residencies where you stay, and it's the easiest money I've ever made.' 'Just go there, live in Vegas, rip your shirt off.' Speaking about his transition to comedy, Guadagnino said, 'What I do now is hard.' The MTV star explained that he took improv classes during a hiatus when Jersey Shore wasn't filming. 'I was doing improv, and I was into comedy and sketch comedy, like Key and Peele and Chappelle Show ... So I did all that.' 'And then I always wanted to do stand-up because I knew that was like the more gangster thing to do. But I either never had the balls to do it, or I just didn't have the means.' In 2019, Vinny opened up about how hard he works to maintain his fit figure, which includes partaking in the keto diet. Vinny shared diet tips and fitness inspiration onto his second Instagram account, the ketoguido, where he addressed how he's been able to maintain his 50 pound weight loss over the last few years. Sharing a before-and-after photo highlighting all of his progress, Vinny said it all boiled down to the keto diet. 'The question of "how long of time in between these pictures" is not the important question to ask here in terms of "how long did it take to get from left to right"... I've always been able to get from left to right in a matter of months by committing to almost ANY diet and workout plan.' 'But after being done with those miserable diets and workout plans I would always go back from right to left... so the question of "how long of time between these pictures" IS important for the reason of "how long I've been able to STAY the guy on the right."' 'The answer to that question is about 4-5 years now.' 'How did I do that? Basically flipping the traditional food pyramid upside down and finding a way of eating that's enjoyable, satisfying, healthy, and one that never requires me to go on a "diet" . #ketoguido.' Jersey Shore ran on MTV from 2009 until 2012. The show — which sparked controversy and debate about stereotypes of Italian Americans — followed the lives of eight housemates who spent their summers together in a vacation home. It popularized a subculture often referred to as 'Guido' and 'Guidette', characterized by big hair, tans, and flashy clothing. Aside from Vinny, the original cast included Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Jennifer 'JWoww' Farley, Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, Paul 'DJ Pauly D' DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnick, Samantha 'Sammi Sweetheart' Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. MTV gave spin-off shows to four Jersey Shore cast members, with Snooki & Jwoww achieving the greatest success. In 2017, E! aired a one-time TV special titled Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore. On 2017, MTV announced a new reunion series, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which would reunite the cast in Miami, Florida, excluding Giancola. The show premiered worldwide in April 2018. The eighth season is set to premiere on May 29, 2025, with the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast returning to their original Seaside Heights house. All Star Shore, a spin-off series featuring reality stars from Jersey Shore and other global shows, premiered in 2022. In the series, they live together in a villa and compete for a $150,000 prize.

‘You're Cordially Invited' Review: Comedy Pros Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell Vow to Ruin One Another's Weddings
It's a sign of the times that a good, old-fashioned date movie featuring two of the most bankable movie stars of the early aughts, Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell, is bypassing theaters altogether in early 2025. When it comes to writer-director Nicholas Stoller's latest rom-com — if that's the word for a film where two adults set out to sabotage one another's wedding plans — you're cordially invited to watch 'You're Cordially Invited' at home. The Prime release should play great at any scale while its stars are crossed at one another, but miscalculates their chemistry in a gratuitous and slightly icky epilogue. As Jim, Ferrell is the first to be introduced, fussing over his Gen Z daughter Jenni (Geraldine Viswanathan), who disturbs the balance with her widower dad when she announces she's engaged to Stony Blyden's one-dimensional Oliver (the grooms-to-be can't be too memorable, or they'd pull focus from the adults). Ever since Jenni's mom died, Jim has pinned all his happiness on her feelings, and when it comes time for his only girl to get married, he wants everything to be perfect — so he calls the Palmetto House, the island resort where he and his late wife tied the knot, and books the venue. More from Variety Reese Witherspoon Was on Jury Duty After 'Legally Blonde' and Got Shocked When Jurors Thought She Was a Real Lawyer: 'This Is Really Upsetting' Will Ferrell Finally Explains Bringing Buddy the Elf Back as a Smoker and Beer Drinker, Calls the Reaction 'Insane': 'I Just Like to Do Weird Things' Will Ferrell Dresses Up as Buddy the Elf With a Cigarette, Tells Reporter 'It Was a Tough Holiday Season' For her part, Witherspoon is back in 'Sweet Home Alabama' mode, assuming that character had never gotten hitched in the first place: She plays Margot, a high-strung Los Angeles TV producer who's cut off nearly all contact with her judgmental Georgia family, apart from her younger sister, Nev (Meredith Hagner), who's madly in love with a devoted but dense Chippendales dancer (Jimmy Tatro). Nev's situation, plus the news that she's pregnant, brings out Margot's protective instinct, and she immediately switches into wedding planning mode, promising her sister the perfect ceremony. There's just one problem: The idyllic island resort where both Jim and Margot made reservations accidentally double-booked, and the place isn't big enough for both parties. The control-freak organizers could go nuclear on the poor Leslie (Jack McBrayer), the exasperated Palmetto House manager, or insist that they have the venue all to themselves. Instead, they tentatively agree to share the space … which is a recipe for conflict with two such control freaks involved. On Margot's side, there's the rest of her family to worry about, as her hyper-critical mother (Celia Weston) can't let anything go without complaining, even though everyone but Margot thinks she's a sweetheart. Her siblings bother her even more, whether it's caveman Colton (Rory Scovel), who refers to his wife as 'the wife,' or heavy-drinking and highly inappropriate Gwyneth (scene-stealer Leanne Morgan), who turns laconic one-liners — like 'I got a spray tan, if you're wondering what that smell is' or 'If I wasn't married, I'd climb him like a redwood' — into quotable insta-classics. A Tennessee stand-up with a hilariously husky drawl, Morgan might as well be this movie's answer to Melissa McCarthy. Though nothing can touch the 'Bridesmaids' breakout's hall-of-fame performance, Stoller follows director Paul Feig's lead in recognizing that a wedding comedy's only as entertaining as its guests. Meeting Margot's clan, it's easy to understand why she sought refuge as far away as possible, and yet, Jim instantly gets along with her family, which only makes matters worse. Meanwhile, there's something suspicious about Jim and Jenni's codependent dynamic — the way he does his daughter's hair and insists on baking the wedding cake himself — that could be coded as there being skeletons (or more) in his closet. In lieu of giving a speech, he invites Jenni up to do a duet, but their song, 'Islands in the Stream,' is wildly inappropriate for a parent to be singing to his child. Its lyrics were clearly intended from one lover to another, ah-ha. Whether they're playing naughty or nice, Witherspoon and Ferrell are two of the rare stars who can be charming even when trying to sabotage someone else's most important moment, and 'You're Cordially Invited' is most fun when they're on the warpath. The trailer has tipped most of the big gags, from the disaster at the dock to Jim wrestling an alligator, but Stoller's script is strong enough that the movie's pleasures are far from spoiled. Jenni's generation is an easy target — like her hyper-sensitive bestie Heather (Keyla Monterroso Mejia), who's to blame for not confirming the reservation — though the film strikes just the right tone in tripping their triggers. Stoller, who wrote 'The Five-Year Engagement' and directed 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall,' is notable among contemporary comic filmmakers in that he always keeps his characters grounded. And yet, not even he can solve the problem of where this story's headed: Late in the film, once the festivities have played out and Jim and Margot have gone their separate ways, Stoller introduces the idea that Witherspoon's character doesn't want to spend the rest of her days alone. Unfortuantely, there's not so much as a spark between her and Jim. Witherspoon presents Margot's not as some unhappy spinster, but as a modern self-reliant woman. If anyone other than Ferrell had played Jenni's teddy-bear father, the movie wouldn't be half as funny, but he's an actor whose emotionally stunted shtick has never lent itself to romance. The mere thought of Jim being a sexual entity revolts his daughter, and unless the cues weren't meant to suggest as much, it's been a running joke for much of the film that he could be gay — or else what is the unspoken 'secret' that everyone's speculating about? But that dimension doesn't impact the film until the final stretch, by which point, 'You're Cordially Invited' has been so much fun, wherever it's headed 'ever after' hardly matters. The film pulls in cameos from Peyton Manning (boy, does he look uncomfortable doing comedy) and Nick Jonas (funny enough you wish the part were bigger). To tie up the ending nobody asked for, Stoller orchestrates one of those tricks, à la 'Anyone but You,' where the whole cast sings the same song over the course of the shoot — which is to say, they rely on each other, ah-ha.
