Bulls crush Sharks 64-0 in Currie Cup rout at Loftus
The Vodacom Bulls made a bold statement in the Carling Currie Cup Premier Division with a ruthless 64-0 win over the Hollywoodbets Sharks XV on Saturday evening at Loftus Versfeld.
It was a dominant display from start to finish, as the Pretoria side ran in 10 tries and kept the visitors scoreless. The Bulls led 35-0 at halftime and never took their foot off the gas in the second half.
Inside centre Chris Smit, loose forward Jeandre Rudolph, and former Junior Springbok Juann Else each scored two tries, showcasing the Bulls' attacking depth and physicality.
The hosts' forwards laid a strong foundation, allowing the backline to slice through the Sharks' defence with ease. The Durban side, still recovering from a heavy loss to the Lions in the opening round, had no answers for the Bulls' structured, high-tempo game plan.
The emphatic win sees the Bulls top the log with 10 points and a superior points difference after two rounds.
Next up, the Bulls will look to keep their momentum going when they host the Airlink Pumas at Loftus this Saturday.
