People Are Sharing The '00s Pop Culture Moments That Make Them Want To Die From Cringe And Honestly, Same

No matter how nostalgic you feel, it's hard not to admit that the 2000s were a decade of cringe. Christina Aguilera showcases drastically new appearance after sparking plastic surgery and Ozempic rumors

Christina Aguilera flaunted her dramatic new physical transformation when he walked the red carpet at the Airbnb 2025 Summer Release event on Tuesday. The 44-year-old pop star stunned in a glamorous white dress highlighting her shockingly svelte figure as she joined her longtime fiancé Matthew Rutler at the event in Los Angeles. Christina's appearance comes after she left fans chattering online earlier this month over rumors that she might have undergone plastic surgery on her face to achieve her transformed appearance. Her strikingly trim figure has also sparked rumors among fans who wondered if she may have turned to Ozempic-like drugs to help her impressive weight loss. While making her appearance at the event, she modeled a skintight, white dress that hugged her svelte figure and emphasized her hourglass figure. It featured ruching running down the center of the dress for added visual intrigue, and she elevated her stature with beige open-toe heels featuring a jeweled mesh over her toes. She wore her long blond locks styled straight with delicate strands draped over her shoulder and framing her made-up face, which featured a particularly full pout. Xtina completed her look with a black handbag and sparkling slim sunglasses that complemented her earrings. Despite the speculation among fans that she may have altered her appearance in some way, the Grammy-winning singer–songwriter has not addressed any of the rumors. She was previously rumored to have gotten a breast augmentation after displaying a scar under her arm — which is a common place for the surgical incision — in 2010. Recently, Christina showed off her age-defying looks on the cover of the French magazine Carcy, which set rumors bubbling from fans who wondered if she had touched up her face. In October of last year, multiple plastic surgeons who had not treated the songstress spoke to about her seemingly transformed appearance, suggesting that she may have undergone a face lift to sculpt her cheekbones and smooth the natural lines between her nose and lips. Other cosmetic surgeons have shared similar opinions about her new appearance on social media. In recent months, she was rumored to have used weight loss drugs to shed a whopping 40 pounds in a short amount of time. Although Christina has not directly responded to the claims, she recently said she no longer feels the need to 'give a f***' about the public scrutiny on her body. Following the speculation, she has since commented on the years-long 'obsession' over her weight in an interview with Glamour from August. 'When you're a teenager, you have a very different body than when you're in your 20s,' she said. 'I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, "Oh, she's getting thicker." Then I had industry people: "They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager."' However, as she has grown older, she revealed that she does not let comments about her weight affect her anymore. 'I have a maturity now where I just don't give a f*** about your opinion. I'm not going to take it on,' she stated. The mother-of-two added: 'It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people's opinions of me are not my business.' A few months later, she dropped jaws on her 44th birthday with a sexy 'birthday suit' thirst trap. The Bulesque-inspired snap followed her revealing interview on Call Her Daddy, when she opened up about her sex life. She met her film producer beau on the set of her 2010 movie Burlesque, in which she starred alongside Cher. Rutler was a film assistant on the set where she was working just as Aguilera was going through a split with her first husband Jordan Bratman.

Netflix is bringing back 'Star Search' as it continues to expand into live TV

Star Search , a reality competition series that's featured a shocking number of musicians and comedians before they were famous, is coming back as a Netflix show. The streaming platform announced that it's bringing Star Search back as a live show with interactive elements, building on Netflix's expansion into live TV and events. Like the original, the new Star Search will focus on "emerging performers in music, dance, comedy and kids' acts," Netflix says. The company didn't share who would host or judge these acts, and doesn't have a premiere data as of yet, but Netflix did claim that the new Star Search will be "more interactive than ever." Past seasons of the show allowed the at-home audience to rate each performance before their scores were read live on air. It's not hard to imagine Netflix rigging something similar inside its own apps. To view this content, you'll need to update your privacy settings. Please click here and view the "Content and social-media partners" setting to do so. Reality competition shows are a dime a dozen in 2025, particularly on Netflix, but Star Search is notable for the sheer number of famous people who competed on it. Like American Idol, not many of them actually won, but it's rare to see a competition show that's featured everyone from Christina Aguilera to Sinbad. Star Search is just one part of Netflix's growing ambitions for live TV, which now includes everything thing from alternative talk shows to WWE. The company streamed its first NFL game on Christmas Day 2024, and has continued to expand into other live events, like award shows. At the same time, Netflix's plans for gaming have seemingly diminished — the company closed its AAA game studio and has removed interactive shows like Bandersnatch from its catalog. Casting has already begun for the new version of Star Search . You can head to Netflix's website for more information and to apply to be on the show.

Portola Music Festival 2025: LCD Sound System, Christina Aguilera and Prodigy among headliners

LCD Sound System, Christina Aguilera, Moby and the Prodigy are among the artists set to perform at the fourth edition of Portola Music Festival in San Francisco. They will be joined at the two-day electronic dance music event, set for Sept. 20-21 on Pier 80, by more than 50 acts including the Chemical Brothers, Rico Nasty, Zack Fox, Blood Orange, Ravyn Lenae, Caribou, Dom Dolla, Neil Frances and Magdalena Bay, among many others. Produced by Goldenvoice, the promoter behind Southern California's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the waterfront event boasts a range of genres such as house, techno, pop and hip-hop. Others on the bill include Charli XCX collaborator the Dare, Peggu Gou, Mau P, Anti Up, Duke Dumont, Kelly Lee Owens, Arca, Brutalismus 3000 and Boy Harsher. Despacio, the state-of-the-art immersive sound system created by LCD Sound System frontman James Murphy and Belgian electronic band Soulwax, is expected to deliver tunes during its pop-up dance party on both days of the festival. Ticket presales start at noon Wednesday, May 14, with General sales beginning at noon Thursday, May 15. Single-day tickets start at $279.95, while two-day passes are priced at $399.95. Last year's festival drew more than 42,000 attendees per day, and included performances by controversial rapper and producer M.I.A., 'Unwritten' singer Natasha Bedingfield and Rebecca Black, who rose to fame as a teen for the viral hit 'Friday.' Hosted outdoors along the San Francisco Bay, the event has had a history of noise complaints from residents in Alameda, Oakland and Berkeley since its inception in 2022. In 2024, it received 224 complaints over the festival weekend, despite enhanced efforts to reduce noise during performances, such as reorienting its two outdoor stages, hiring someone to monitor noise levels and enlisting additional call-center staff. Its venue, Pier 80, serves as San Francisco's primary cargo terminal and spans more than 60 acres. Performances will be hosted both indoors and outdoors.
