Jennifer Lopez Celebrates Her ‘Birthday' With Sexy New Song
This one's getting added to the birthday playlists! On Thursday, as she celebrated her own 56th birthday, Jennifer Lopez released her first solo single of the year, aptly titled 'Birthday.' 'Name on top of the cake, it's my birthday/I'ma make this famous ass shake, it's my birthday,' she sings on the Rob Bisel-produced track's chorus. 'Throwin' all this money in they face, it's my birthday/Everyday is my birthday, bitch!' More from Rolling Stone Sia and Cypress Hill Join Forces for LAFC Anthem, 'Street x Street' Lola Young Wants to Escape on 'D£aler' Zach Bryan Sings a Melancholic Duet With Gabriella Rose on 'Madeline' Lopez has been performing 'Birthday' on her Up All Night tour across Europe, which is scheduled to continue through mid-August. She celebrated the big day with a birthday party in Turkey, where she recreated the cake line from the song in real life. 'What a gift you all are!' she wrote on Instagram, sharing a mirror selfie and a carousel of her birthday celebrations. 'Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes.' During her show in Antalya, Turkey, her best friend Stevie Mackey led the sold-out crowd (and her band) in a sing-along to 'Happy Birthday' after the clock struck midnight. The pop star is set to continue her run of shows on Friday with a performance in Warsaw, before heading to Bucharest, Abu Dhabi, Kazakhstan, Istanbul, and Sardinia. The run of shows overseas precedes her 'Up All Night' residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which is scheduled to kick off on New Year's Eve. She'll play a trio of shows there this winter, before returning for eight more nights in March 2026. While 'Birthday' is her first solo track of the year, Joel Corry reimagined her track 'Get Right' for the dancefloor. Last year, Lopez celebrated seminal album On the 6th's 25th anniversary, and released her album and feature film, This Is Me… Now. Sia and Cypress Hill Join Forces for LAFC Anthem, ‘Street x Street'
Only a team like LAFC could bring polar-opposite icons like Sia and Cypress Hill together. Rolling Stone can exclusively premiere the Major League Soccer club's new anthem by Sia and Cypress Hill, titled 'Street x Street,' on Friday. The empowering track, produced by DJ Flict, celebrates the club's close connection to its fanbase, the 3252, in its Cypress Hill-rapped verses, while Sia sings in her unmistakable vocals in the chorus: 'We go hard, yeah. There's no stopping us… You can't fuck with us.' More from Rolling Stone Lola Young Wants to Escape on 'D£aler' Jennifer Lopez Celebrates Her 'Birthday' With Sexy New Song Lionel Messi Is Back With Another Stanley Cup Collab Amid Record-Breaking MLS Season Cypress Hill has lent its voice for LAFC anthems in the past, but this is the first time that Sia — who's been spotted at Los Angeles games in the past — sings for the soccer club. 'Collaborating with Sia on 'Street X Street' was a first for us, and it brought a whole new energy to the table,' B-Real from Cypress Hill tells Rolling Stone in a statement. 'Her powerful voice took the track to another level. Cypress Hill has always been about pushing boundaries and trying new things.' He adds, 'Teaming up with Sia and DJ Flict to create this new LAFC anthem just made sense.' The new track marks the sixth LAFC anthem co-produced by LAFC, most with DJ Flict at the helm. 2022 saw Kid Ink and B-Real come together for 'Do It For LA,' 2023 heard B-Real with Mexican rapper Alemán and Bobby Castro on 'Ciudad de Campeones,' and Castro returned in later that year with O.T. Genesis for 'Por La Cultura.' 'LAFC is a movement here in L.A., and this anthem perfectly captures the spirit of our community,' said Rich Orosco, LAFC's Chief Brand Officer, in a statement. 'We built this club Street by Street, Block by Block, One by One, and we are very honored to have such talented global artists believe in our community and dedicate their time and energy to creating music for our fans.' LAFC is currently in a playoff position, landing at Number 5 on the Western Conference standings. The club is scheduled to play the Portland Timbers Friday night, marking their return from an All-Star Game break. All league games stream on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV+.
