Mama Cow 'Refuses' to Share New Calf with Human Like the Best Little Protector
If you ever come across a mother cow and her calf, do not just assume that you can walk up to her child and play with them as though they were your own children. After all, mother cows can be fiercely protective of their young. As you can see from the video, Phoenix the cow did not want this human going anywhere near her baby. From the get-go, you can tell by Phoenix's expression that she was not having any of this. This woman approached her and her baby out of nowhere, babbling on about milk, and Phoenix was clearly like, "I'm a cow. Don't tell me about milk." Additionally, after both Phoenix and her adorable baby stared at this woman with expressions that were south of blank but north of agitated, she continued to get closer to the baby while flapping her gums about if he was going to get more milk from his mama. Phoenix very politely tried to ignore this rudeness, focusing on licking her young calf to make sure he was clean, hoping that she would take a hint and leave them alone. But nevertheless, this woman was at this point that Phoenix decided that it was just best to walk away. She led her calf away down the pasture, leaving this talkative woman completely flabbergasted, still unable to understand that she did not want anyone going near her child. When it comes to mother cows and their young, it is important to realize that these beautiful bovines have very strong maternal instincts. They have very deep bonds with their young and do not want anyone around who might threaten them, or even just annoy them. Now, we don't think the woman in this video poses a threat of any kind. However, she did underestimate how much Phoenix would tolerate her in the presence of her young calf. And apparently, this woman has a knack for agitating cows, as you can see in this other video. We actually side with the woman on this one. After all, that is another cow's calf. This woman was right to ask her what Ci Ci the cow was doing with that baby. We don't think that Ci Ci was in the right to take her frustrations out on that poor baby. Fortunately, there is no indication that this calf was hurt when Ci Ci kicked them. Video of Rescue Dog Settling in Forever Home With a Senior Dog Is Everything
Videos of rescue dogs finding their forever homes never fail to tug at the heartstrings, and CiCi's story is no exception. TikTok creator and dog lover Eddie — @eddienchooch215 — recently shared a touching video of how he rescued CiCi, a stray dog he found while on vacation in Puerto Rico, and how she has since settled into his Philadelphia home with his senior pup, Chooch. The video begins with a clip of Eddie discovering CiCi on a beach in Puerto Rico, offering her fresh water and care. It then transitions to heartwarming moments between CiCi and Chooch, his 8-year-old American Bully, as they bond and adjust to their new life together. The two dogs quickly grow close, even curling up to sleep in the same bed. Overlayed text in the video reads, 'They say you don't always get the dog you want, but you get the dog you need… Chooch, my senior dog, needed her the most.' It continues, 'There was a reason she followed us on that beach in Puerto Rico that day.' Last May, while vacationing in Puerto Rico, Eddie and his girlfriend, Krystal, crossed paths with a black-and-white stray dog. As they hiked to a beach, the pup appeared out of nowhere and eagerly led them straight to the shore. Eddie recorded their first encounter, showing CiCi joyfully playing in the water and following them all the way back to their car. Though they initially parted ways, Eddie couldn't stop thinking about her. His TikTok followers felt the same, urging him to adopt the pup — and ultimately, he knew he had to bring CiCi home. With the help of Souls of Satos, a local dog rescue organization, Eddie returned to the area where he had first met CiCi. After searching for hours, he finally found her in a nearby neighborhood. From there, the adoption process began, and Eddie documented every step for his TikTok followers. When CiCi arrived in Philadelphia, Eddie introduced her to her new family, including his senior dog. According to Eddie, CiCi quickly bonded with Chooch and now follows him everywhere. 'She's playful and full of love,' he says, according to TODAY. 'She's definitely a shadow.'
