Citizens Advice Denbighshire to launch new project
The North Denbighshire Family Advice Network will focus on helping families in the county by providing accessible and trusted advice via school based advisors.
The 12 month initiative will be funded by the Welsh Government's Child Poverty Innovation and Supporting Communities grant.
The approach will allow Citizens Advice Denbighshire to reach struggling families by providing advice to them at schools in the county.
Advisors will be situated at schools in the north of the county and will provide support on welfare, debt, and housing issues.
Julie Pierce, CEO of Citizens Advice Denbighshire said: "This is a real game-changer in how we reach and support local families
"By meeting people where they already are, in schools, we're removing barriers to access and building stronger, more connected support systems."
The project aims to provide a 'one-stop shop' for struggling families, empowering them and reducing the risk of poverty.
Citizens Advice Denbighshire sees this initiative as a potential blueprint for future service delivery and hopes it will become a sustainable part of its long-term work.
