Part of Second Avenue in Lethbridge closing for railway work
Part of Second Avenue N in Lethbridge will be closed Thursday and most of Friday. Traffic will be disrupted along a portion of Second Avenue in Lethbridge Thursday and Friday. The city posted on social media Wednesday that starting Thursday at 8 a.m., railway work will force the closure of Second Avenue N between 28 Street N and 31st Street N. Weather permitting, the city expects work to be finished Friday afternoon. Eastbound access onto Second Avenue N from 30 Street N will be maintained.

The City of Lethbridge posted on social media that crews are performing guard rail maintenance and replacing lights throughout the day Wednesday, requiring the closure of the outer eastbound lane of the bridge. Work is expected to be completed by the end of the day Wednesday, weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to drive safely and follow instructions on posted signs to help keep crews safe.
