Austin woman injured in crash with semi
Jun. 4—A 69-year-old Austin woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after her vehicle and a semi collided on Interstate 90 one mile east of Albert Lea. Titian Elizabeth Butash was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The report stated Butash was driving a 2007 Ford Focus eastbound on I-90 near milepost 158, along with a 2020 Peterbilt semi truck driven by Spencer John Theis, 33, of Belle Plaine, when the two vehicles collided at 3:26 p.m. Theis was not injured. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor, the report stated. The Clarks Grove Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Man injured in crash on I-35 near Clarks Grove
Jan. 26—A Coon Rapids man was injured Saturday night after a rear-end collision on Interstate 35 near Clarks Grove. Aaron James Miles, 38, was reportedly taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The report stated Miles was driving a 2024 Chrysler minivan northbound on Interstate 35, along with a 2025 International semi, driven by Jermey Tyvon Smith, 24, of Kansas City, Missouri, when the vehicles collided at 9:58 p.m. Roads were dry at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not a factor. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. The Clarks Grove Fire Department, Freeborn County Sheriff's Office and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
