Man caught 'going to the toilet' and smoking cannabis on A34 lay-by
A man was caught 'going to the toilet' whilst smoking cannabis on a lay-by on the A34 last night (13/8). Thames Valley Police officer PC Jenkins spotted the driver during his patrols in West Berkshire. After stopping to check on the Volkswagen Golf that had stopped on the side of the road he discovered the man and conducted a drug search. A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: 'He was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and dealt with for possession of a Class B drug.' Another vehicle was also stop checked in Reading after receiving information that the driver may only hold a provisional licence. Police found that the vehicle was being driven by a fully licenced driver after being stopped.

Child, 9, ‘grabbed and followed' near shopping centre yards from popular UK beach as man, 39, arrested over ‘assault'
A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was nearly snatched off the street by who man who then followed him, police said. It unfolded at around 8.45am on June 13, just a few roads away from a popular beach. 1 A man tried to grab the boy near St Nicholas Rest Garden in Brighton. He then followed the child along the road, cops said. Sussex Police appealed for witnesses to come forward. A 39-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of common assault and possession of a Class B drug.
