Morrisons launch exclusive new money saving deals for over-60s in all 344 cafés
The supermarket's new 'Club 60' offers hearty food at "purse pleasing prices."
Morrisons is now offering a new incentive that will see customers over the age of 60 able to save money in all of its cafés across the country.
The supermarket giant announced yesterday, July 8, that it has launched its exclusive new 'Club 60' designed to help pensioners' money go further, especially for those feeling the "financial squeeze."
Available now across all 344 Morrisons cafés nationwide, the incentive will provide eligible customers with two exclusive meal deals that will see them save some extra pennies.
The first will offer over-sixties a small breakfast at any time of the day. This includes sausage, bacon, fried egg, hash brown, Heinz Baked Beanz, toast and butter and any refillable hot drink for just £6, which is said to save £2.50.
Club 60 will also offer an Afternoon Meal Deal from 12pm onwards every day on the classic fish & chips, bread with butter, any slice of cake and hot drink.
The afternoon deal will cost customers just £10 for the entire slap-up meal, which is said to save them £3.25 compared to when before the new club launched.
Not just designed to help over-sixties save some money, but the supermarket's café, which is said to be one of the top destinations for affordable dining, will also serve as a local hub for the community.
The launch of its 'Club 60' incentive comes after research has suggested that almost half (49 per cent) of older people admitted to cutting back on meeting friends due to financial pressures.
According to the supermarket, its latest offer for those over sixty aims to support and provide a social community space with hearty food at "purse-pleasing prices."

Chris Strong, Senior Café Trader at Morrisons, said: 'We know many of our older customers are feeling the financial squeeze – 'Club 60' is our way of offering a welcoming space and a good meal at a great price to our customers.
"It's a small step that we hope will help to make a difference to the pockets of our customers."
This is just one of the latest incentives to be offered by the supermarket for those dining in its cafes, as it previously launched the 'OAPension-Friendly Breakfast' earlier this year, offering anyone over 60 a full English breakfast with a free refillable hot drink for just £5.
The supermarket has also been known to offer seasonal deals for customers dining in at certain times of the year, with offers sometimes launched on Mother's Day, Father's Day and Veteran's Day.
Customers of all ages can also save money on their groceries at Morrisons, as the supermarket recently announced that it was offering two pizzas with a side or dessert for just £10 at all of its pizza counters nationwide.
Meanwhile, for the summer, the firm has launched a 10 percent discount across its Market Street vendors for anyone who is signed up to its More Loyalty scheme.
As for the new 'Club 60', it is officially available for all eligible customers in 344 cafés nationwide now.
