Pair of Georgia rivalry games gets major sponsorship The Georgia Bulldogs have already announced that they will play a rivalry game at Mercedes Benz Stadium for each of the next two seasons. However, AMB Sports and Entertainment announced that Mercedes Benz will host more college games in the future. This series of college games will be called the "Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic", and the 2025 Georgia versus Georgia Tech game will be the start of it. The aim is to "host powerhouse college football programs and storied rivalries on one of college football's biggest stages." Georgia's game against Georgia Tech in 2025 will mark a memorable moment. It will be the first time the rivalry of "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate" has taken place in a neutral site. The matchup will occur on Black Friday, Nov. 28. Additionally, The Bulldogs have never played the Florida Gators in Mercedes-Benz before. The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party has taken place in Jacksonville for the past 18 years. Following the 2026 matchup in Atlanta, the two teams will meet again in Raymond James Stadium in 2027 before returning to Jacksonville, which is undergoing stadium renovations for the next couple of years, in 2028. Georgia will earn $17.5 million in the next two years from this series. The Bulldogs will earn $10 million from the 2025 game versus Georgia Tech and $7.5 million for the 2026 game against Florida. Kirby Smart is currently 7-4 all-time in Mercedes-Benz, but in 2024, he went 2-0, winning the season opener against Clemson and the SEC championship against Texas.

Check out the watchability rankings for Florida football's top 2025 matchups The upcoming schedule for Florida football's 2025 campaign appears to be an exciting one — as well as immensely challenging — as the Gators look to build on their success last season. It took Billy Napier three seasons to snap the program's three-season streak of finishing under the .500 mark, breaking through with an 8-5 final record thanks to some superlative efforts on both offense and defense. Among those wins were a few thrilling finishes that will live long in the lore of the Orange and Blue. As for the upcoming season, Florida has a handful of games that CBS Sports writer Will Backus selected for his watchability ratings for every week on the 2025 college football schedule. Specifically, there are seven matchups that ranked among the following tiers: Tier 1 : Become one with your couch: Put your phone on do not disturb. Florida vs Georgia (Tier 1): Week 10 The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is perennially the top matchup on the Gators' schedule, and while UGA has held the edge in recent years, UF looked like it had a chance in last year's game before DJ Lagway was knocked out of the game before the end of the first half. A healthy quarterback, along with the offseason's reinforcements, nearly guarantees an epic battle in Jacksonville. Florida at Miami (Tier 2): Week 1 "Last season, Miami used an early-season immolation of Florida to catapult itself to a 10-win season. Florida at Ole Miss (Tier 2): Week 12 "Both Florida and Ole Miss have playoff upside in 2025 — and both could very well make it — but a head-to-head result could prove crucial when deciding at-large bids," Backus notes. Florida vs Texas (Tier 3): Week 6 "This is one of those weeks, earlier in the season, where the conference pairings don't move the needle much. Florida could make a real statement against Texas," Backus said. Florida vs Tennessee (Tier 3): Week 13 "College football's rivalry weekend is one of the most exciting weeks in sports. The week beforehand? Not so much. Plenty of power football programs tend to schedule a "cupcake" opponent — one that it should beat with ease — in this spot after a long and arduous regular season," Backus concludes. Georgia, Florida set to earn $7.5 million for playing at neutral site The Georgia-Florida rivalry will take place in Jacksonville in 2025, but in 2026, both teams will travel up to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to continue the World's Largest Cocktail Party. There will be a huge payout for both the Bulldogs and the Gators. According to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald, Georgia and Florida will each be earning $7.5 million to play at the Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The money will be sent from AMB Sports & Entertainment, the company owned by Arthur Blank that owns and operates the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In 2027, the two rivals will be playing at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay. That is because Jacksonville is undergoing a major stadium renovation worth $1.4 billion. The project is expected to complete in 2028, and Georgia and Florida have an agreement to play at EverBank Stadium until 2031. The Bulldogs will continue their tradition of playing in Mercedes Benz for at least two more seasons. Their 2025 game with Georgia Tech will take place at Mercedes-Benz stadium on Friday, Nov. 28. Kirby Smart will be looking to improve on his 7-4 record in Mercedes-Benz these next few years. Georgia went 2-0 at Mercedes-Benz last season with wins over Clemson and Texas.

Urban Meyer Didn't Hesitate When Naming the Most Underrated Player He Coached at Florida
There was certainly no shortage of talent on Urban Meyer's Florida teams during his six seasons with the Gators. He won two national championships with the SEC powerhouse and finished with a 65-15 record, including three seasons with a 13-1 record. On a recent episode of the "Another Dooley Noted Podcast," Meyer was asked which of his players was the most underrated, and he didn't waste much time thinking about it, considering the wealth of players who were at Florida from 2005 to 2010. Advertisement 'I think Louis Murphy. I'm a Louis Murphy fan,' Meyer said. 'I mean, you think about the biggest games he had were in the biggest (stages). The Florida State game down there, where he caught that wheel route. Then one of his greatest games of all time was that 'Bama '08 in the SEC Championship. He was dominant. And Georgia in the Cocktail Party when he did a great release on that corner.' Former Florida Gators head coach Urban Klement-USA TODAY Sports Murphy played for the Gators from 2005 to 2008. Over an eight-year pro career, he also played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. He finished his career with 95 games played with 170 receptions for 2,443 yards and 11 touchdowns.
