The Georgia Bulldogs have already announced that they will play a rivalry game at Mercedes Benz Stadium for each of the next two seasons. However, AMB Sports and Entertainment announced that Mercedes Benz will host more college games in the future.
This series of college games will be called the "Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic", and the 2025 Georgia versus Georgia Tech game will be the start of it. The aim is to "host powerhouse college football programs and storied rivalries on one of college football's biggest stages."
Georgia's game against Georgia Tech in 2025 will mark a memorable moment. It will be the first time the rivalry of "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate" has taken place in a neutral site. The matchup will occur on Black Friday, Nov. 28.
Additionally, The Bulldogs have never played the Florida Gators in Mercedes-Benz before. The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party has taken place in Jacksonville for the past 18 years. Following the 2026 matchup in Atlanta, the two teams will meet again in Raymond James Stadium in 2027 before returning to Jacksonville, which is undergoing stadium renovations for the next couple of years, in 2028.
Georgia will earn $17.5 million in the next two years from this series. The Bulldogs will earn $10 million from the 2025 game versus Georgia Tech and $7.5 million for the 2026 game against Florida.
Kirby Smart is currently 7-4 all-time in Mercedes-Benz, but in 2024, he went 2-0, winning the season opener against Clemson and the SEC championship against Texas.

F1's Toto Wolff Breaks Silence After Rosberg's Contract 'Tactic' Accusation

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Mercedes AMG Formula One team principal Toto Wolff has stated that he plays "fair" when it comes to contract negotiations. This comes after former F1 champion Nico Rosberg revealed how Wolff's "tactic" of disappearing when it comes to driver contract negotiations, while referring to the delay around George Russell's contract extension. Russell's contract extension was on hold due to Mercedes' ongoing talks with Max Verstappen for a potential 2026 signing. Wolff revealed his interest in having the four-time world champion on board Mercedes in the future. Verstappen, however, confirmed his loyalty to Red Bull, stating that he would continue racing for his team next year, when F1 enters a new era of regulations. While Wolff admitted that Mercedes would head in the direction of signing Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, an extension hasn't been signed yet, despite just 10 of the 24 Grands Prix remaining for the current season to conclude. Notably, the current contracts of Russell and Kimi Antonelli expire after the 2025 season. Russell spoke on the topic ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, stating that a contract extension was unlikely to arrive before the summer break. He said: Toto Wolff, Executive Director of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team in the Team Principals Press Conference during practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Austria at Red Bull Ring on June 27, 2025 in... Toto Wolff, Executive Director of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team in the Team Principals Press Conference during practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Austria at Red Bull Ring on June 27, 2025 in Spielberg, Austria. More"I don't know. You know, there is still no contract on the table, so to have something done in the space of two weeks is unlikely. It's got to work both ways, and you need to talk about the finer details." Rosberg, who raced for Mercedes between 2010 and 2016, pointed out the developments in the Mercedes garage. He said: "Did you hear George Russell? He was like, 'Oh, no, definitely I won't have a contract signed by Hungary. Like, so definitive that he knows nothing's gonna happen until Hungary, so there must be something cooking there, right?" He added: "But it's like we're in August then. There's only a couple of months left after that to the end of the season. And he's like, 'oh no, for sure I'm not gonna have a contract yet' - that's a bit extreme, no?" Revealing his experience with Wolff from the past, Rosberg said: "Toto's horrible to negotiate with, because his tactic is to disappear. So when you try... like George now, he's trying to get hold of him, Toto will disappear... George will be trying to write Toto to get him [to get] a move on, or whatever, and Toto disappears. "By the way, this is not a fact; this is just me making it up. But I remember from my time that was his style, just like disappearing, not answering, being hard to reach... and it's horrible, because you're like, 'come on!' "You have nothing, you have no chance... do whatever you can; you need to find a way to cross paths." When asked by if he was a tough negotiator, Wolff said he always tries to find the "right balance." He said: "No, I think I'm fair. I think we should always put ourselves in the other person's shoes. So I give my soul to the other side and think, if I were them, what would I want to achieve? Then I ask myself, what is fair in this situation? "What do I think would be the right thing to do? I consider that and try to find the right balance, but obviously there are times when both parties want to optimize this and that, and that can make things complicated."

Florida Commit Visiting Hated Rival This Season

Florida Commit Visiting Hated Rival This Season originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Florida Gators would love nothing more than to keep one of their commits away from one of their rivals in college football. Florida's primary rivals consist of the Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes and the Georgia Bulldogs. The Florida State game has been dubbed the "Sunshine Showdown," while an even longer name is for the Georgia game each year. The Florida-Georgia rivalry is called "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party," and was first played in 1915 in Jacksonville, Florida. It is a game that the Gators have not won since 2020, but there is still plenty of hate for Georgia. On Thursday, Florida commit Tyler Chukuyem revealed he is visiting Georgia in the fall. 'The only school trying to get me to flip is Georgia, and I plan on going for a game — that will be my official visit,' he said via Rivals' Chad Simmons. 'It is an in-state school, and I know a lot of people who like Georgia, so it is a school I will take a look at.' Chukuyem is a four-star prospect and the No. 24 offensive tackle in the Rivals Industry Rankings for the 2026 class. He has been committed to the Gators since June 16 and is one of four offensive tackle commits for the program. Florida's other offensive tackle commits include four-star recruit Heze Kent and three-star prospects Chancellor Campbell and Javarii Luckas. While head coach Billy Napier will hope to keep a player like Chukuyem committed, his job is being questioned again. On3's Andy Staples predicted Napier would be fired if DJ Lagway's injury issues continue. Lagway has dealt with injuries this offseason, including a minor calf injury that forced him to wear a boot at the beginning of fall camp. Recruits even used to escape from Urban Meyer's clutches during his dominant run at Florida from 2005-2010. Despite never missing a bowl game, he could not get cornerback Patrick Peterson or running back CJ Spiller. Peterson played for the LSU Tigers, while Spiller opted for the Clemson Tigers. No date has been given for Chukuyem's official visit with the Bulldogs, but it sounds like Florida will have to story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 15, 2025, where it first appeared.

Lewis Hamilton Gives Update Amid Ferrari Challenges

Lewis Hamilton Gives Update Amid Ferrari Challenges originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Lewis Hamilton's first year in Ferrari red has been everything but smooth, and the Hungarian Grand prix was another reminder of how tough 2025 has been for the seven-time world champion. At a track where he holds a record eight wins, Hamilton qualified and finished a distant 12th — then stunned fans by calling himself 'useless' and even suggesting Ferrari should 'probably change driver.' The comments sparked fresh speculation about whether Hamilton might cut short his multi-year Ferrari contract. But midway through the summer break, the 40-year-old took to social media with a simple message alongside photos of his dog Roscoe: 'back soon.' The words were enough to calm fears of an immediate retirement. After Hungary, Hamilton told Sky Sports F1 he looked forward to the Dutch Grand Prix later this month, Still, the struggles of his debut Ferrari season are clear. Across 14 Grand Prix, Hamilton has yet to stand on the podium, trails Charles Leclerc 10-4 in qualifying and 11-2 in race results, and has only one real highlight — winning the sprint in China. Ferrari's SF-25 has proven tricky to master. Even Leclerc, who took pole in Hungary, was left frustrated on race day after a mid-race change believed to be aimed at avoiding excessive plank wear cost him victory contention. For Hamilton, the adjustment has been even harder after 12 years in a Mercedes with very different characteristics. Still, there are reasons he may stick around. New technical regulations and power unit changes arrive in 2026, potentially reshuffling the F1 order. Former Mercedes boss Toto Wolff believes those changes could play to Hamilton's strengths, calling his former driver's mission 'unfinished business' after the controversial loss of an eighth title in 2021. Whether this season proves a short-lived low or the beginning of the end, Hamilton's mix of candid self-criticism and quiet determination suggests he's not ready to walk away just yet. Fans can expect him 'back soon' — but how long he stays could depend on whether Ferrari can give him a car worthy of chasing story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 15, 2025, where it first appeared.
