Warm-up match schedule for ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 announced
The International Cricket Council today announced the warm-up match schedule for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 which will see the eight competing teams prepare for the round-robin tournament with matches across four venues in Bengaluru and Colombo. In all, nine day-night matches will be played from 25-28 September at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence 1 ground (both Bengaluru), R. Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club (both Colombo). The opening day of the warm-ups will see hosts India and England, finalists of the 2017 edition, play at the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 ground while South Africa and New Zealand will play at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. On the same day, sub-continental rivals Sri Lanka and Pakistan will play at the Colombo Cricket Club and Bangladesh will take on a Sri Lanka 'A' side at the R. Premadasa Stadium. Defending champions Australia, the only team not playing on the opening day of the warm-ups, start with a match against arch-rivals England at the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 ground on 27 September, when two more matches will be played. The last set of warm-ups will be played on 28 September. The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, which returns to the sub-continent after 12 years, will be played from 30 September to 2 November at five venues. Warm-up venues M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and the R. Premdasa Stadium will also host matches of the main tournament, with the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, the Holkar Stadium in Indore and the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam the other venues. ICC Women's World Cup 2025 warm-up matches full schedule, time & streaming
The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 is fast approaching, as all the participating teams gear up to secure the ultimate prize in women's cricket. But before the start of the league stage of the tournament on September 30, the ICC has released the schedule for the nine warm-up matches to be played between September 25 and September 28. Since the 2025 Women's World Cup is hosted by both India and Sri Lanka, the warm-up matches will also be played in both countries at the same time. The warm-up matches will begin with four fixtures on the opening day. Hosts India will take on England—the 2017 finalists—at the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1, while South Africa face New Zealand at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The warm-up fixtures will take place between 25-28 September in the lead-up to the main tournament, which runs from 30 September - 2 November. All eight teams that have qualified for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 will take part in the practice matches. Each team is scheduled to play two warm-up games, with the exception of Australia, who will feature in just one. Four venues have been designated for the warm-up matches – the Centre of Excellence Ground and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, along with the R. Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo. India 'A' and Sri Lanka 'A' will also feature in the warm-up fixtures, with India 'A' scheduled to play one match and Sri Lanka 'A' set to play two. The warm-up fixtures kick off on September 25, with 2017 Finalists India and England facing off while South Africa take on New Zealand in Bengaluru. At the same time in Colombo, Sri Lanka will play Pakistan, while Bangladesh go up against Sri Lanka 'A'. The next round of warm-up games is set for September 27, with Australia facing England in their only fixture. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will take on Bangladesh, and India will play New Zealand.
