Tarvis Celebrates Voice Actor Genevieve Baer's Telly Award Win and Recognition as a Community Champion by the Building Doors Campaign

Recognizing a standout year of impact, influence, and industry honors for a voice that's redefining the standard ORLANDO, FL / ACCESS Newswire / June 25, 2025 / Tarvis, a consulting firm that helps creative professionals elevate their brand presence and connect with wider audiences, proudly announces a double milestone for voice actor and client Genevieve Baer: a 2025 Telly Award for her narration work with U.S. Steel and her recent selection as a Community Champion by the Building Doors Campaign, a national initiative amplifying women in voiceover. Baer's Telly Award honors her performance in a U.S. Steel commercial that was originally written with a male voice in mind. Her compelling audition not only shifted that narrative-it helped redefine expectations in a traditionally male-dominated sector. The final spot won Silver in the Craft: Narration category for Best TV Commercial Voiceover. On June 25th, the Building Doors campaign will spotlight Baer as one of just seven Community Champions for 2025. Created by voiceover talent and advocate Christy Harst, the campaign recognizes women 'building doors and breaking barriers' in fields where representation still lags. Baer's featured work includes the very U.S. Steel spot that earned her the Telly nod, further underscoring the reach and relevance of her voice. 'It's rare to find someone whose voice carries strength, clarity, and humanity in equal measure-but that's exactly what Genevieve brings to every project,' said Karin Barth, Director of Operations at Tarvis. 'Her wins are so much more than personal achievements-they're industry-shifting moments that show the value of choosing authenticity over convention.' Baer's work in 2024 has also earned her a nomination for Female Voice Actor of the Year at the One Voice Awards. The nomination recognizes a standout compilation of voiceover work across genres and is considered one of the most competitive honors in the industry. Winners will be announced this August. Genevieve Baer is a full-time voice actor and owner of GB Voice. Her studio work spans promos, narration, animation, and national commercial campaigns, with a client list that includes brands in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and more. Congressman Kelly honors county treasurer Krzysiak

Crawford County Treasurer Christine Krzysiak has been honored as the latest 16th Congressional District Community Champion by Congressman Mike Kelly for her decades of public service to the county. 'Christine embodies what it means to be a dedicated public servant,' said Kelly, whose congressional district includes Crawford County. 'Whether it's her role as Crawford County treasurer, serving in her church, or becoming a mentor to young professionals across the region, she continues to put others first and strengthen our communities.' The award was presented Saturday during the Crawford County Republican Committee's spring dinner at The Oaks Event Hall and Lounge at Conneaut Lake. 'I was very surprised, very honored and felt very special,' Krzysiak told The Meadville Tribune on Thursday about receiving award. 'I had no inkling. Mike Kelly was the speaker; I was surprised when he called me up.' Krzysiak, who is serving in her 14th year as county treasurer, will retire at the year when her current term expires. Krzysiak serves on the executive board of the County Treasurers' Association of Pennsylvania and has done so for the last four years. She was elected as the group's president in 2023. Luzerne Foundation's Nonprofit Forum provides $165,000 to 30 area nonprofits

Apr. 3—KINGSTON — David Pedri, president and CEO of the Luzerne Foundation, on Thursday said there are many areas of need at each nonprofit organization that are vital to having a safe, happy and healthy community. "The Luzerne Foundation is proud to support these great organizations that are helping others here every day in Northeastern Pennsylvania," Pedri said. The Luzerne Foundation held its annual Nonprofit Forum on Thursday at the Sidney and Pauline Friedman Jewish Community Center in Kingston. The forum provides $165,000 to area nonprofits in grants. Pedri said 30 local nonprofit organizations offered presentations to the Board of Directors of the Luzerne Foundation. Each nonprofit will receive at least a $5,000 grant and three will receive a $10,000 grant, which will be announced next week. "The Nonprofit Forum allows many different types of nonprofits to tell their story, ranging from larger nonprofits such as the FM Kirby Center and Luzerne County Head Start, to small organizations run completely by volunteers such as TWIGS Restoration Ministry," Pedri said. The Luzerne Foundation received more than 80 grant applications for the Nonprofit Forum, which had to be pared down through an approval process. The Luzerne Foundation also invited other local foundations to sit and listen to Thursday's presentations in hopes that there would be a project they could collaborate on together. "A rising tide lifts all boats and having our other foundation partners at the table is a key piece of how we will continue to move Northeastern Pennsylvania forward," Pedri said. Each nonprofit was also provided with a free ticket to the Luzerne Foundation's Community Champion event that will be held next week at the Westmoreland Club where the three $10,000 winners will be announced.
