Samarahan Division Resident Mohamad Irwan Bahari Bujang made this call when officiating at the 'Samarahan Division Integrity Festival 2025' at Dewan Pertubuhan Peladang Negeri Sarawak here today. 'I believe that through the organisation of this festival and continuous efforts to instil integrity, we can build a strong, principled, and corruption-free community,' he said in his speech. 'I also hope that everyone, especially civil servants, will have faith in their own abilities, be the best versions of themselves, and carry out every task to the highest standard, with full integrity and sincerity. 'May all our efforts be blessed by Him, Insha Allah (God-willing).' Quoting Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg's recent speech at the Borneo International Integrity Summit, Mohamad Irwan highlighted that efficient, transparent, and corruption-free governance was a vital prerequisite for sustainable development and public trust in institutions. He also conveyed the message of State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, who reminded civil servants to show determination and commitment to upholding integrity — a cornerstone to the Sarawak government's aspirations. 'All civil servants are urged to fulfil the trust given to them with full integrity, in line with our goal of achieving a high-income Sarawak by 2030,' he said. This year's festival, themed 'Corruption-Free Zone', was held in collaboration with the Sarawak Integrity and Ombudsman Unit (Unions), Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS), and the Association of Certified Integrity Officers (ACeIO). The event featured a 'Corruption-Free Pledge' ceremony and a motivational sharing by well-known Malaysian personality and Sarawak native, Amin Idris. civil servants integrity kota samarahan
