The Cosmopolitan Summer Beauty Awards 2025
Here at Cosmo UK, we never tire of beauty. Testing, swatching, spritzing, we are all in for finding you the best picks that are worthy of your coins. And actually, summer is the season we probably feel the most responsible for our beauty choices because, truthfully, the warmest months suck for our beauty standards. (Heck, we wrote an entire Summer Beauty Bible for you because we know summer beauty admin is a pain in the neck). With the mad dash for SPF and navigating makeup that won't break you out when you're sweatier than usual, we see ourselves as your lighthouse for summer beauty buys when the market is supersaturated and hard to navigate. So, with that being said, we tested hundreds of products in just shy of 70 categories across skin, hair, makeup and body that you need to consider for your next holiday, staycay, or if you're just packing your essentials for a mammoth park hang. The products below wowed the Cosmo Beauty Team and have been in heavy rotation since we started testing. Planes can be the biggest culprit for sandpaper skin, so save space in your carry-on for this, your skin's ideal travel companion. Not only does this formula leave your skin hydrated and glowy, the cooling tip is a welcome touch as the heat steps up. Soothes redness and sun-induced irritation with 1% PGA (polyglutamic acid) and plant algae. We love a hardworking product and this one delivers vit C over 12 hours, meaning that there's zero irritation but aaallll of the glow. Overdone the actives? ILIA can help! Overnight, slather on this rich formula and awake to hydrated, calmer and less red skin. First, we're in love with the sweet scent. But better still, even waterproof mascara doesn't stand a chance against it. Acne-prone, sensitive skin girlies listen up – this gentle foaming cleanser is the one. The oil-free formula helps minimise breakouts with pore-clearing salicylic acid. Hyaluronic acid and primrose extracts hydrate and leave skin with a luminous glow, both over and under makeup. A quick fix with a quick spritz. Heat rash or just hot summer skin, this mist instantly calms and helps prevent irritation with skin-soothing aloe vera. Your skincare could work even harder. This liquid boosts skin's hydration levels, making your next skincare steps penetrate deeper. So clever! The combo of hyaluronic acid, ectoin, niacinamide and collagen gives this serum serious podium status. Brighten, plump and hydrate in a daily dose. CT's new serum helps fade the appearance of dark spots and discolouration. Prevent the pain of sun- burned lips with this – it's adorable, protective and moisturising, too. Say hello to glossy, hydrated lips with this juicy offering. Glazed doughnut lipcare has never looked better! Wake up tired peepers. The texture's so dewy, you won't believe your eyes! (Soz…) This SPF melts in and is loaded with vitamin E and squalane. Dynamite sun protection in a totally undetectable formula. You'll be asking yourself where you put it straight after swiping on. This formula proves that SPF can and should be worn every day. It's good for all tones, lightweight and layerable. This lil set is perfect for testing out the incredible Cécred line-up. When the OG talks, we listen. This dry shampoo is Batiste at its best, but with a gentler formula to suit all. Polyglutamic acid and squalane team up to fight your hair demons. This delivers silky-smooth strands at a purse-friendly price. Enjoy shiny strands with this oil. It gives glass-like hair that lasts for days, keeping frizz completely at bay. Luxe? Absolutely. But luckily you can savour every drop, as a little of this light cream goes a very long way. In this, a hard-working trio of botanical mango, kokum and shea butters repairs and rehydrates for a shine like no other. When excessive washing kills your colour, this high- tech protectant revives and secures vibrancy. Fuss-free, affordable products formulated with all-natural ingredients is the name of Q+A's game, and this silicone-, SLS-free offering is no exception. As JVN would say, 'Honey, it's giving healthy hair!' A quick wash with this duo banishes summer hair damage. This duo (free from SLS and silicones) rehydrates textured hair for soft and defined locks. In the market for a fail-safe, smoothing (and gorgeous) hairbrush? Look no further. This lightweight, leave-in treatment calms an itchy scalp. Plus, its clever formula helps balance the skin's pH for healthier hair growth. This pre-shampoo scrub is the key to a refreshed scalp. Gently exfoliate excess oil or build-up with its detoxifying argan shell and tea tree blend. Frizz has never been tamed more boldly than by a few spritzes of this shine spray, which also protects up to 230°C. Chlorine and sunshine can strip hair of its glory. This treatment will correct things, fast. Calling all fruity floral lovers. Gisou's lavender, blackberry and sweet honey-infused hair perfume is where it's at. Wide plates = quicker styling = more time on the beach. Universal voltage means you won't blow the power. When highlight meets blush, things get cheeky. Blendable, luminous and high pigment, this feels as good as it looks. For a full face on the go, Morphe's set has all the essentials for flawless application, in a hand-luggage-friendly size. Forgo your foundation when the temps spike? This Huda find has you covered – literally – even when you feel like a sweaty mess. This formula gives 'just enough' coverage for evening out skin. A new high-coverage iteration of Collection's concealer means: poof! Dark circles are gone! In one swish, this bronzer delivers a glow. The eight colours are all highly pigmented. A worthy opponent to streamy, hay-fever eyes – super pigmented and waterproof. Glazed doughnut skin just met its match with this new stick illuminator. Glide on to your cheekbones, nose, brow bone and go! Love at first swipe. This gem doesn't smudge, flake or run – perfectly fluttery lashes every time. Kiss-proof, transfer-proof and burger-proof (yep, we put it through its paces), this lip stain is the key to long-lasting summer makeup. Is it a gloss? Is it a lipstick? Spoiler: it's both. This non-sticky hybrid is nourishing and shimmery. When the very best of an express face tan and bronzing drops combine, you're met with this holiday glow in a bottle. Lining your lips can often feel like a faff too far, makeup-wise. But this liner is creamy, blendable and stays put through sunset drinks. If your makeup slides off quicker than you in a doughnut on a water slide, this will wow you. This super-fine formula works harder than Kris Jenner – makeup looks freshly applied all day. Mario has scooped best powder award, too. We'd like to thank him for reducing our oiliness. Sad, droopy brows have no place in summer. Thankfully, this gel keeps them sitting pretty literally all day. We may not want to use thick butters come the summer but, sadly, dry skin still exists. CeraVe to the rescue with this rich but light-textured hydrator. Nutrient-packed superfoods in this formula help shield and soothe skin for a noticeably smoother, brighter and more refined complexion. The only thing better than being told you smell good is having smooth, baby-like skin. With this scrub, you can have both. Palmer's really popped off with this launch. The oil, which smells incredible, enhances your golden glow with little flecks of shimmer – you glow, girl! This aluminium-free deo is the key to staying fresh from head to toe this summer – and all year round. Smelly ain't in the Cosmo reader's vocab. If you remove your hair, you want it to be swift and as pain-free as poss. As waxes go, the process with this set ticks both boxes. Transport yourself to the beaches of Rio, courtesy of SDJ, with this sumptuous shower oil. It cleanses but keeps skin super soft and smells delicious. Sometimes you need a soap to slough off the sweatiness of summer, and this gentle bar gives a thorough clean without stripping skin. Fruity and floral? Yes, please. This delicate apricot, sandalwood and bergamot blend is a magnet for compliments. Another iteration of You we can't get enough of. This is soft, floral and feminine. It's You but in a summer garden in bloom. After a day in the sun, apply this gentle lotion to calm hot summer skin. Attract the Timmy to your Kylie with the warmth and sensuality of amber accord, complemented by pear, pink pepper and vanilla notes. Non-sticky, softening and above all protective (even if you have a lil splash in the sea). Plus, the antioxidants help preserve the skin's youth. Does any scent scream 'beach' more than coconut water and a concoction of lime and mint? Didn't think so. Perfect for giving the skin a little glisten, enhancing the look of your glow as you protect. If you like fruity scents, you'll love applying this. Interested in more beauty? Friends or foes? All the MAFSAU season 12 cast who are still friends – and who's definitely not
If you're anything like us, the most recent series of Married at First Sight Australia left you veritably gagged. While the show wrapped up in the UK at the beginning of May, here at Cosmo UK HQ, we've still been living for the season 12 drama, twists and turns for weeks now. In fact, we think all the after-the-show IG sleuthing, ex-spouse social media shading and unofficial cast reunions may well be almost as good as the actual show itself. Given our interest in the MAFSAU cast post-show, we've gained a serious curiosity about the couples who are still together. But what about the rest of the cast? Who is on good terms, and who seems to be feuding? After scouring post-show interviews, social media interactions, and various shady comments from the cast, we've pulled together our list of who from the cast are still friends and who may not be on good terms. To read more, scroll below! The most recent MAFSAU cohort, thankfully, appear to remain pretty close-knit (apart from a handful of cast members who are on the outs). Here are some of the strongest, and most surprising friendships post-show: While Billy and Dave maybe weren't the luckiest in love during the experiment, they each left with a veritable BFF in one another. While their bromance was obvious on the show, it has blossomed since filming stopped. "Me and Dave are looking at moving in together, we're looking at travelling the world together," said Billy in a video with Nine. "And this is one thing that I'm really, genuinely so happy about. OK, I didn't come out with a partner but I have come out with a best friend and I'm so grateful for that, I feel like I've won." Jeff is also on good terms with Dave, telling Nine: "Dave's in Melbourne, so I speak to him pretty much every day. I see him multiple times a week." Plenty of the girlies from MAFSAU are on good terms. "I see Carina, Beth, Awhina, Jamie, Ash and Katie," Rhi has told Mamma Mia regarding who she keeps in contact with. "We all got together for my birthday, the seven of us. I've stayed in close contact with all of the girls, and even this weekend we had a party with Daily Mail and all the girls were there. It was so lovely to all catch up again." However, we're most interested in the fate of Jamie, Awhina and Beth - three on-screen friends who seriously had each other's backs. Well, their friendship seems to be going strong: they've featured in multiple TikToks together following the show. In a cute moment, Awhina even told the Daily Mail that she "didn't leave with a husband" but, instead, "with a wife" in reference to her friendship with Jamie. In a video with Nine, Eliot also shared that he was on close terms with Jamie! "Jamie's a beautiful person, it's been incredible watching her journey," he said, suggesting a friendship between the two. (FYI, the duo have already quashed dating rumours). Eliot has also filmed TikTok content featuring the likes of Jamie, Beth and Awhina so clearly he gets on with the girls from the experiment. With such a drama-filled season, you can imagine that there may still be some difficult feelings between members of the cast. Here's what they seem to be saying about one another: It appears that Jamie and Carina are no longer close according to comments made by Jamie. 'Carina, I'm sure if there's like a pap photo or something, she might be there, or a girl's reunion, she might be there. But you know, she's not someone who reaches out or checks in or anything like that,' Jamie shared to Pedestrian TV. 'I don't think she's really interested in having friendships with the cast.' Eliot and Dave don't seem to make direct comments about one another in the press. However, Eliot has been making some TikToks which may suggest a level of ill-will towards Dave. In one instance, he shared a TikTok which began with a clip of Dave drinking coconut water. The video then cuts to Eliot and Jamie drinking coconut water together while wearing fluffy robes in bed. Given that Jamie and Dave were an item on MAFSAU, it definitely seems like a bit of a pointed reference... Two brides who don't seem to be on the best of terms? Veronica and Beth. Following the show, Beth was asked in a video if any MAFSAU brides were sliding into other grooms' DMs. 'She's not here… Veronica! I'm sure she's been sliding into every husband's but her own,' she said. Veronica was quick to reply, commenting under the video: 'Do you have receipts or are you just running your mouth? Asking for a friend.'

Which Sneaky Links couples are still together now? All the clues you might have missed...
WARNING: Spoilers about Netflix's Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark ahead! PSA: your new fave reality tv obsession just dropped, in the form of Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark. The addictive new show sees six singles check into a motel in the hopes of finding love *except* instead of being intro'd to new people, they actually are forced to come face-to-face with their sneaky links - and made to undergo a series of challenges testing their compatibility with said sneaky link. The reason? To see if they will check out alone, or as a couple. (Srsly, whoever came up with this concept needs a raise). The drama is also cranked up a notch with the addition of a number of 'late check-ins' including a Playboy model and professional basketball player. We quickly binged our way through the first season (fingers crossed for another!) and have one question on our couples are still together? Speaking to Swoon, the show's host Chloe Veitch has teased a major twist about the show's verdict, saying: "I can say that you're genuinely not going to see this curveball coming" Cue: some serious IG sleuthing at Cosmo UK HQ. To discover what we found out, keep scrolling. Bad news for anyone secretly pining for their own sneaky link, none of the OG sneaky link pairings (which would consist of: Manny and Samira, Angelique and Travis, Avery and Colt, Nicole S. and Brandon, Zoe and Kyle, and Nicole V. and Travis) checked out as a couple. At the final episode there were four couples formed from various individuals in the motel, but did they check out together and do they still seem to be an item? One couple we were rooting for? Avery, a 26-year-old recruiter whose sneaky link was Colt, and Manny, a 26-year-old travel nurse whose sneaky link was Samira. In the finale, the duo agreed to leave the motel as a couple and Manny said: "'I've walked in with a sneaky link mindset. I've always had trouble committing, and now I think the relationship I've established with Avery has allowed me to grow. I'm like, 'No, don't be scared of it. Just take a risk,'" he said. "I feel good and I'm finally feeling excited about something. For me and Avery, I think the world is our oyster.' Since leaving the show, the duo are still following one another on IG (a good sign) and have tagged each other in promotional material they've posted for the show. We'd guess that these two are still together... This may not come as a surprise to anyone, but Jacie, a 26-year-old bartender and late check-in to the show, and Brandon, a 27-year-old nightclub owner whose sneaky link was Nicole S, did not check out together. Jacie decided to leave on her own and Brandon, who had flirted with multiple girls throughout the season, was forced to check out solo. They do, however, appear to be on good terms: they are mutuals on IG, after all. Two absolute cuties Zoé, a 29-year-old fashion brand owner whose sneaky link was Kyle, and Travis, a 31-year-old account executive who sneaky link was Angelique, had an undeniable connection throughout the show, even as they got to know other contestants. We were rooting for these two, so it was a relief to see them leave the motel together. "I think it's nice to experience each other outside of everyone else and all the other couples and all the other tests and challenges," said Zoé in the finale. "Of course, there will be other tests and challenges, but it'll be nice to have a focus point right now." Again, these two are mutuals on IG, so we suspect they're still an item. Colt, a 32-year-old sales consultant, initially paired up with his sneaky link, the 30-year-old law student Angelique. However, his 'head was turned' (to quote Love Island) thanks to a certain late check-in named Kelsey. Kelsey is a 24-year-old fashion website manager and model who caught Colt's eye, leading to a love triangle. Ultimately, at the series finale, Colt told Kelsey he loved her and they left as a couple. To date, they're still following one another on IG. We'll keep you updated with any further updates as and when they come in...

Millie Bobby Brown Wears Jake Bongiovi's Initials On Her Honeymoon Swimsuit
Last Updated: The Stranger Things actress posted a rare picture with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, from their Croatian honeymoon on her Instagram. Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi got married in an intimate ceremony in May last year. Their beautiful wedding ceremony was the stuff of modern fairytales, from a dreamy setting to not one, not two, but five wedding dresses. And even after their celebrations ended, the Stranger Things actress kept her bridal style going strong, especially during their romantic Croatian holiday. And the proof? It's her post on her husband's birthday. Taking to her Instagram account on May 7, Millie penned a sweet note, wishing Jake on his 23rd birthday. In the post captioned 'Happy birthday hubby, there's no one like you," the 21-year-old British actress shared a series of never-before-seen pictures of the couple. The post also included a rare peek into the couple's honeymoon in Croatia in October 2024, and as usual, Millie was a fashion inspiration for all the upcoming brides. The second slide of the carousel featured the couple's picture from their honeymoon, where Millie and Jake were posing cosily. The Enola Holmes actress wore a custom-made white swimsuit featuring a plunging neckline. The piece was entirely embellished with shimmery glass beads and was adorned with a grey bow motif, a black heart and the sweetest of them all, Jake's initials 'JB' embroidered on the chest region. She paired the stunning swimsuit with a crisp linen white shirt, perfectly twinning with her husband's shirt that had 'Hubby' embroidered in gold thread above the pocket. Millie wore a pair of stylish sunglasses and delicate pieces of jewellery to put her beach look together. Millie's custom-made swimsuit was from the luxury swimwear brand Oceanus. Designer Hannah Attalah, while speaking to Cosmo UK, revealed that the actress' team reached out to her before the couple's wedding in May 2024 with a request for a unique, personalised piece for their honeymoon. She said, 'It's so wonderful to work closely with a bride and see their vision come to life. We have been working with lots of new brides who want something special for their honeymoons and bridal showers, and we are so happy that we could be part of that journey with Millie, too." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Oceanus (@oceanus) Adding even more meaning to the swimsuit, the designer included subtle embroidery of the couple's zodiac signs. Pisces for Millie and Taurus for Jake. The entire piece took nearly six weeks to complete. Apart from the bespoke swimsuit, Millie's bridal wardrobe included a custom white lace gown to walk down the aisle from the shelves of Galia Lahav, an archival Valentino dress, an off-the-shoulder ruched satin short wedding dress from Vivienne Westwood and Annie's Ibiza crystal-embellished mini dress. Lindsay Lohan ditches her signature red and we don't know how to react
ICYMI: Lindsay Lohan is having a major renaissance. The iconic actress and beloved singer to ~millennials everywhere~ ('Rumors' is a forever bop!) has returned to our screens over the past few years. Lindsay has appeared in films like Irish Wish and Falling for Christmas on Netflix, as well as gracing the cover of Cosmo UK (no biggie!). Now, she's gearing up to appear in the sequel to Freaky Friday, the aptly named Freakier Friday. The movie will see her team up once more with Jamie Lee Curtis as characters Anna and Tess for more body-swapping shenanigans and is due to land in cinemas in August of this year. Yep, we are veeeery excited. The full trailer has already dropped and teases a four-way body swap between not just Anna and Tess but also Anna's daughter and soon-to-be step-daughter, as well as the reappearance of Chad Michael Murray, who is reprising his role as Jake. It's gearing up to be iconic, we can't lie. In the interim, Lindsay is keeping us fed with her sleekest fashion era yet (her front row at Balenciaga last season lives rent-free in our heads). In recent months, she's also been flying the flag for a seriously chic strawberry blonde that marries the vibrancy of her signature red hair with the elegance of blonde. However, if her latest IG post is anything to go by, a new hair era is loading. Her grid post shows her with blonde, volumised tresses that are giving ~old Hollywood~. The look is courtesy of Dimitris Giannetos, who has described the shade as 'almond milk' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) However, for fans of her red hair, there's no need to be concerned: there's a possibility she's wearing a wig, with Dimitris tagging the hair piece and wig creator Noah Scott when he posted this iconic look. Whatever the story though, she looks seriously iconic here, we can't lie.
