Heart medicine stolen from porch of transplant patient in Glasgow Village
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Tiara Johnson, a heart transplant recipient, is speaking out after her heart medicine was stolen from her porch Friday afternoon. 'I was inside with the door open when it happened,' she said. Her doorbell captured images of the theft. She reported the crime to St. Louis County Police investigators. Close Thanks for signing up! She fears there will be few consequences because the suspects are juveniles. 'I need them to know the significance and harm they caused,' she said. Johnson reported the crime to her pharmacy. She said the pharmacy is investigating before determining whether the medication will be replaced. St. Louis County Police confirm one juvenile suspect was identified. In cases involving minors, police are limited in how much information they can share publicly. Johnson said even before the crime, she was facing medical debt from the transplant. She started a GoFundMe to help with expenses. 'I fought very hard, almost eight years, to get this heart, and I try my best to be a good steward over my heart in memory of my heart donor,' she said. Allegheny County police investigating shooting in McKeesport
Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting that resulted in one person being hospitalized with gunshot wounds to the hand and abdomen. County police's homicide unit responded to a request for assistance in McKeesport just before 2:45 a.m. Sunday, after McKeesport police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 700 block of White Street. First responders found evidence of a shooting but did not find a victim. A short time later, the victim arrived at an area hospital by private vehicle, according to a media release from county police. The victim was shot in the hand and abdomen and is in stable condition. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.

Person shows up at hospital after being shot twice in McKeesport
A person was injured in an early morning shooting in McKeesport. According to Allegheny County police, McKeesport officers responded to White Street between Shaw Avenue and Ravine Street around 2:45 a.m. Sunday because of a ShotSpotter notification. Those officers found evidence of a shooting but no victim. ACPD says not long later, the victim showed up at an area hospital shot in the hand and abdomen. They are in stable condition. Young man killed in shooting during parking lot 'gathering' near New Castle, police say
A 19-year-old man died after being shot in a New Castle-area neighborhood the night of June 5, New Castle County Police said. Officers were called to the 100 block of Ryan Ave. in the Rose Hill Gardens neighborhood about 9:25 p.m. for reports of the shooting. Police said a "gathering" was taking place in a parking lot. "Numerous people" were in attendance, police said. At some point, a gun was fired and Tahjir Pipkin was shot multiple times in his upper body. It's not clear whether an argument broke out or what led to the shooting. Police and emergency medical personnel tried to perform first aid on Pipkin, who was rushed to Christiana Hospital. He died there, police said. The homicide came a day after a man was shot in the face near New Castle by 31-year-old Kyle Schaal. The victim told police Schaal was his girlfriend's "stalker." Despite being shot, the man survived after managing to fight Schaal. Man shot, killed during argument at Clairton picnic
A man was shot and killed Sunday night during an argument at a picnic in Clairton. Allegheny County Police say the shooting happened along Division Avenue in Clairton just after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. Officers arriving at the scene found a man shot to death at the scene, police said. The man has not yet been identified. Police say a man was detained at the scene and there's no threat the public. It's unclear what charges the man who was detained may be facing. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
