What is hairline-lowering surgery? To better understand the procedure, Independent Lifestyle reached out to Dr Judey Pretorius, a distinguished Biomedical Scientist with vast expertise in wound healing, regenerative medicine, and cell therapy. 'Hairline lowering, also referred to as hairline advancement or forehead reduction, involves repositioning the hairline closer to the eyebrows to reduce the height of the forehead,' explains Pretorius. 'An incision is made along the hairline, and a portion of the forehead skin is removed. The hairline is then pulled downward, creating a more balanced and proportionate appearance.' This surgical procedure is popular among women who feel self-conscious about a naturally high hairline or large forehead. While the surgery is often performed alone, it can also be combined with hair transplants or brow lifts for enhanced results. John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Consider Moving To New York Over California Wildfire Concerns

Grammy award winner John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, are considering leaving California permanently. The duo owns a $17.5 million Beverly Hills mansion in the wildfire-affected area and had to temporarily evacuate due to the disaster. While John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's home was left untouched by the fires, the couple remains traumatized by the incident, which is also part of the reasons why they are considering a move. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, revealed that they are considering leaving California. "Chrissy and I have always considered returning to New York, where we once lived," Legend told the outlet. When the couple lived in New York, they owned two penthouse units, which they later sold for $18 million. They initially relocated due to work commitments in Los Angeles, but with the recent spate of wildfires, Legend noted that the "collective trauma" they have experienced has made them consider moving back to the Big Apple. "Every time nature shows its wrath, we wonder if it's time to head back east. Who knows?" added Legend, who shares four children, Luna, 8; Miles, 6; Esti, 2, and Wren, 1, with Teigen. Still, such a move doesn't seem to be a top priority at the moment, as the" All of Me" singer and the Cravings cookbook author aren't eager to disrupt their youngest children's lives. They would prefer for them to "grow up a bit" before making a final decision. When the wildfires hit California last month, Legend and his family had just returned from vacation to their sprawling $17.5 million Beverly Hills mansion. However, the musician decided it was best for them to temporarily relocate to a hotel after seeing "flames and billowing smoke" spread closer to where they lived. "The danger felt too close for comfort," said Legend, who also revealed that they packed only their essential belongings before leaving their home. He added, "That night, my wife and I gathered our four kids, four dogs, and bearded dragon and drove south to a hotel in Carlsbad." Luckily for the family, their home was not affected, but the trauma from the fire "shook" them all. "We didn't return until the following week," the multiple Grammy Award winner further shared. "Our home was safe, but many weren't so fortunate, and the threat still looms." Much of the family's experience seeking refuge in a hotel was documented on Instagram by Teigen, who also expressed her immense fear that they could be affected. "This is surreal," she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time, per New York Post. "I'm very scared now. Packing," she added, alongside a photo of herself packing. She later shared a video of the family and their pets from the hotel with the caption, "4 kids, 4 dogs and a bearded dragon walk into a hotel." In a separate post, Teigen thanked concerned folks while sharing an update about her family's safety. "Thank you for reaching out. Looking for any and all ways to help our community right now, please send anything you see," Teigen shared, per the New York Post. "And God bless the firefighters and all first responders." Teigen was recently criticized for sharing a photo of herself bathing with her six-year-old son Miles, two-year-old daughter Esti, and 20-month-old son Wren at her $17.5 million six-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday. "The bath pix is weird and unnecessary," a fan wrote, while another knocked her act as "cringe," adding that "kids deserve privacy too." "Bathing with your kids is one thing, but is there a need to be topless doing so?? I don't care how young or old or close you are to your kid; there's no need to be topless, especially when posting to social media! Just keep it private," another fan added. Teigen had to defend her bath time with her children as many online felt that Miles, who was seen wearing an omnipod for diabetes, was "a little too old to be having a bath with his mom." "It's a coconut milk bath for sensitive skin, but go off," she wrote, particularly in response to people commenting on the color of the bath water. On Tuesday, January 7, the first of a series of wildfires hit the Pacific Palisades region in Southern California. The fire, which was said to have been prompted by a combination of drought-like conditions and powerful offshore winds, spread quickly to over 23,000 acres in seven days. The region of Pasadena was also hit with the Eaton fire, which burned over 14,000 acres and more than 10,000 structures. More wildfires also sprung up in the San Fernando area, the Hollywood Hills area and the community of Acton. In their wake, they left several homes and businesses destroyed, including the Pacific Palisades Charter High School and the houses of some celebrities. The fires also led to tens of thousands of people evacuating, and over 29 people have died since they started.
