He kept his head down as he headed out of a tree-covered alleyway. The screen star then carried his bike as he made his way to his start point. With a budget of £800,000, the pair were seeking a ready-to-move-in home but didn't dismiss the idea of a renovation project. Their wish list also included at least three bedrooms for visitors, enough land to care for dogs and goats, and a rural location with a pub or café no more than two miles away. The house hunt commenced in Gawthwaite, a village perched on the southern fringe of the Lake District National Park, reports Lancs Live. "The smaller of which leads to the study where a bathroom suite is being stored. And there's one other unusual addition, which I'm hoping they'll appreciate." As they entered a reception room, Steve remarked: "And yet another reception room. So, how about this as a space?" A modern barn conversion was home to an unexpected addition on Monday (May 5) "Depends what's down there," responded Clare promptly, gesturing towards a trap door in the room's corner. "Don't go into that trap door," Simon joked, then elaborated: "So, what we've got down there is a cellar. Crispin, do you want to be brave and go down and see?" Crispin willingly embarked on the descent down the steps to a rather spacious cellar area. "Welcome to the pit... It is quite big, bigger than I was expecting. The couple were initially convinced that the property would exceed their financial reach but were pleasantly surprised to discover it was on offer for £495,000 – significantly below their maximum budget by a striking £305,000. Bruce Glover, James Bond villain, dead at 92
Bruce Glover, known for his roles in "Diamonds are Forever" and "Chinatown," died on March 12, according to his son, actor Crispin Hellion Glover. He was 92. Crispin confirmed his father's death in a series of Instagram photos shared on social media on Saturday. "Bruce Herbet Glover May 2 – March 12, 2025," he wrote alongside a number of photos of his father. Details surrounding Bruce's death were not revealed. Fox News Digital contacted Glover representatives for more information. Crispin shared a few family photos, and images from some of his father's most famous roles, including when Bruce appeared in an episode of "Perry Mason," and alongside Jack Nicholson in the classic "Chinatown." Bruce was born in Chicago, Illinois, and after high school, was drafted into the Army in 1953. He served during the Korean War. He landed a few minor television roles in the late '50s and '60s, including stints on "Car 54, Where Are You?," "My Favorite Martian," "The Good Guys," "The Outsider," and the "Mission: Impossible" TV series. Bruce's arguably most famous role was as Mr. Wint in the 1971 James Bond flick, "Diamonds Are Forever." "The final moment in the film where Sean Connery does that rude thing pushing the hooha up my yaha and giving that character his final great sexual moment is the biggest laugh in the movie," Glover told The Original Van Gogh's Ear Anthology website in 2019. His last credited role was in the 2015 film "Influence," which also starred Crispin. Bruce is survived by his sons, Crispin and Michael Leigh Glover.

Bruce Glover, the actor best known for his memorable role in the 1971 James Bond film 'Diamonds Are Forever' and as the father of Crispin Glover, died March 12, 2025. He was 91. His son announced the news on Instagram on Saturday, March 29. A cause of death as not given. A prolific character actor, Glover appeared as Deputy Grady Coker in 1973's 'Walking Tall' and in the film's later sequels, as well as 'Bless the Beasts and Children' and Roman Polanski's 'Chinatown.' Having started his acting career on television in the 1960s, he was also notable for numerous TV guest roles throughout his career. In a 2019 interview with The Original Van Gogh's Ear Anthology, Glover said his first-ever job was delivering groceries at the age of 6. 'I guess this woman had a store. She thought it was cute and decided to offer me a job. Ten cents a day delivering groceries after school and Saturday mornings so I made sixty cents a week,' he recalled. Glover also served in the military and was drafted into the Korean War in 1953. 'I arrived there the last six months of that war. Now when the war finished and I was still in Korea, I was in an engineering company, the University of California sent over teachers. I picked up nine hours of college credits in Korea,' he explained. It was in Korea that Glover discovered he had dyslexia. 'Dyslexics I think, there are probably dumb dyslexics and smart dyslexics. I am one of the smart dyslexics. I think Einstein was considered a Dyslexic he was also very bad in school, but he zoomed way ahead,' Glover said. ' think what a Dyslexic does is they don't want to learn the rules. They just want to do it and they see something and they just do it and that is what I believe with me as an actor, I had no idea of being an actor.' He was directed by his son in the 2005 film 'It is Fine! Everything is Fine.' In the same interview he described Crispin as 'a terrific actor and book writer.' 'Well you know, we are not family when we are acting. I am in the character and the scenes we were in together we are both in character so we are not Crispin and we are not Bruce. We are the characters,' Glover explained. 'It is like good and talented actors become the characters and it has nothing to do with father and son.' Bruce Herber Glover was born on May 2, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his life he considered careers as a football player or an artist but acting remained a consistent part of his life. He began acting in earnest after returning home from the Korean War, and his first roles included 'The Lion in Winter' (1966) and stints on TV shows including 'Car 54,' 'Where Are You?,' 'Route 66,' 'Perry Mason,' 'My Favorite Martian,' 'The Rat Patrol,' 'Mod Squad' and 'Gunsmoke.' It was casting director Billy Gordon who suggested him for Mr. Wint in 'Diamonds Are Forever.' Glover is survived by his wife, Betty, and their son Crispin. A shy Shiba mix is ready to bloom
Crispin is new to ARK and, in many ways, new to most everything. Her former owner didn't take her for walks because she was so shy. This meant she spent all her time in the house and garden and, as a result, had no experience with other people. When her owner passed away and Crispin came to the shelter, the look on her face was usually blank. She'd never worn a harness before and would try to escape as soon as her leash came off after a walk. Her new world was very big and scary — but she has started to blossom after just a few months. Crispin loves to go on walks in the morning and at night, and is even warming up to different kinds of people. | Seitaro Matsuo Born in late 2017 and believed to be a Shiba mix, Crispin is definitely coming into her own. Now she loves walks and knows to stand still and wait patiently afterward. She's even warming up to people and gestures of affection.
