Aima Baig is tempted to launch jewellery line

In an Instagram Story shared recently, Aima Baig flaunted layers of jewellery that adorned her neck, ears, wrists, and fingers. In the video, the singer adjusted her multiple necklaces while tucking her hair behind her ear to reveal a crescent-style earring. Rings glimmered on her fingers as she raised her hand to show off her wrist watch and bracelets. Although Aima didn't wear anything fancier than a casual shirt and jeans, she sported a big smile to show that she was satisfied with the bling she added to the overall look with her accessories. "Layering up jewels gives me chills. In a good way, of course," she wrote. As inspiration struck, she asked her followers if she should launch her own jewellery line. Whether or not the Baanware singer decides to commit to this endeavour remains to be seen. For now, she's thriving in her career as a musician. Earlier this month, she won the Lux Style Award for Most Stylish Musician of the Year (Critics' Choice) for Satrangi. Expressing gratitude for the accolade on Instagram, she wrote, "Thank you so much. I'm truly humbled." The feat caught the attention of Strings alum Faisal Kapadia, who said in the comments, "Many congratulations! We need a treat." Aima's beau, Rastah founder Zain Ahmad, also offered his support, lighting up her comments with fire emojis. Fans were also quick to offer their heartfelt congratulations, flooding the section with heart emojis. "You deserve it, my girl," a user wrote, echoing the sentiments of many others including fans from beyond Pakistan. Last month, Aima performed for her dedicated international fans in Bangladesh. Sharing the concert photos, she wrote, "Thank you for all the love, Bangladesh. You guys were truly magical, and a huge shout out to Yamaha for putting together an amazing stage."

Watching Sirens And Want To Know Where You've Seen Milly Alcock Before? We've Got You

If you haven't heard of Milly Alcock yet, the Australian actress who stars in the hit Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon , then where have you been? She is a rising star who has already been nominated for a Critics' Choice award and has just finished working with two of the biggest names in Hollywood. Here's everything you need to know about her – and when Sirens is out on Netflix. Milly Alcock, whose full name is Amelia Alcock, is an Australian actress from Sydney in New South Wales. She was first introduced to acting while playing Little Red Riding Hood in her infants school. Milly later dropped out of performing arts school in 2018 when she was cast in the Foxtel comedy drama Upright . Milly is 25 years old. She was born in April 2000. In 2022, Milly was cast in the HBO fantasy prequel, which is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin's fictional history book, Fire and Blood. She plays a young Princess Rhaenyra (later played by Emma D'Arcy). Alcock garnered critical acclaim for her role and has been called 'the shining star' of the series. Milly made her TV debut as a teenager in 2014 appearing in the Network Ten romcom Wonderland. She has also starred on Disney Channel in Australia from 2015 to 2017 and has acted in High Life and Janet King. She's also featured in the Showcase drama Fighting Season, as well as A Place to Call Home, Pine Gap on Netflix and in Les Norton on ABC. In January 2023, Milly appeared in the music video for 'Easy Now' by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Last June, she made her West End debut in The Crucible at the Gielgud Theatre in London. As for what Milly plans to do next, in January it was announced that she will play Kara Zor-El/ Supergirl in the DC Universe film, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow . She also acts opposite Julianne Moore and Meghann Fahy (who is famously dating heart throb Leo Woodall) in the Netflix dark comedy series, Sirens. The new dark comedy is already available to stream on Netflix and it's not one to miss. Set over Labour Day weekend, Sirens follows Devon (Fahy) on her journey to a lavish island where mansions and hydrangeas abound – and where she comes to realise that the surrounding waters are murkier than they first appear. Milly plays Simone DeWitt, Devon's sharp and charming younger sister who hit the jackpot by working as a personal assistant to a billionaire. Sirens is based on a play written by Molly Smith Metzler, who is the show runner behind the 2021 mega-hit Maid . Despite only just arriving on the streaming platform, Sirens has already divided the critics. The Guardian called it 'utterly addictive' and 'endlessly entertaining' as well as 'witty' and 'star-packed'. Variety was on a similar page, calling it 'funny, surreal and yet ultimately grounded in emotion enough to put The Perfect Couple out of mind entirely'. While The Independent has dubbed it 'disparate' with 'tonal shifts that come at breakneck speed'. And The Hollywood Reporter writes that 'much of Sirens is a slog'. It sounds like there's only one way to find out who's right... Another sign that she's got her head screwed on, there is little to no information about Milly's dating life online. According to Distractify, she was briefly linked to director Ari Kwasner-Catsi in 2019, but the relationship was not confirmed. Yes, you can keep up with Milly on Instagram at @millyalcock. She often shares her latest acting news, as well as glamorous photo shoots and the odd insight into her personal life. Nikki Peach is a writer at Grazia UK, working across entertainment, TV and news. Queen Latifah reveals if ‘The Equalizer' could return after being canceled by CBS

Queen Latifah can't save 'The Equalizer' herself. The actress, 55, admitted in a new interview with Us Weekly that she has no say in the future of her CBS drama series that was canceled by CBS after five seasons earlier this month. 'It is a little out of my hands in terms of what happens with it from this point forward,' Latifah said. Advertisement 6 Queen Latifah in 'The Equalizer.' Latifah, who was both the lead star and an executive producer on the show, admitted that she's still 'processing' the cancellation. Advertisement 'It occurred to me that it has been such a big part of my life for the last — more than — five years actually,' she explained. 'I'm thankful. I'm very grateful. CBS cancels ‘The Equalizer' days before season finale as star Queen Latifah speaks out over ending

Queen Latifah will take her final bow as street vigilante Robyn McCall in 'The Equalizer' on Sunday as CBS canceled the beloved drama, ending a five-season run. The primetime thriller, which first aired in 2021, followed Latifah's McCall, a former CIA operative and mother of two, who tasked herself with helping others. The season finale, which was set for Sunday, will act as the series finale, Deadline reported. 5 Queen Latifah portrays Robyn McCall in a scene from 'The Equalizer.' CBS Latifah also served as the show's executive producer alongside production partner Shakim Comper. She paid tribute to the show and her character on Friday — hours after the show was axed from CBS's primetime lineup. 'Stepping into a kick-ass role like Robyn was everything I hoped it would be,' she wrote on Instagram. 'Shakim and I at Flavor Unit are always excited to bring these kinds of roles and projects to life—and then we just hope you love them as much as we do. The Equalizer blew past every dream we had for it, and having the opportunity to do this for five seasons honestly feels surreal.' Latifah mentioned the cast, crew and fans in her tribute to the show, thanking them for the support, saying it meant the 'world.' The 55-year-old hinted at her next project, teasing it would follow the same path as 'The Equalizer.' 'And don't worry—I'll be back kicking ass in something new real soon. Can't wait to share it with you,' she wrote. 5 Queen Latifah, Laya DeLeon Hayes and Lorraine Toussaint appear in a scene during 'The Equalizer' Season 5 Episode 10. CBS The 74-episode series earned a spinoff, but was pulled from consideration during CBS's bloodbath of show scheduling in the early months of the year. In its final season and a later time slot, the show's viewership dropped by almost 2 million as it failed to reach 6 million viewers a week compared to last season's 7.89 million viewers, the Hollywood Reporter reported. CBS's decision to end the series comes two months after the network pulled the plug on five other beloved law enforcement dramas, including 'S.W.A.T.' and 'FBI: Most Wanted.' 'S.W.A.T.' star Shemar Moore reacted similarly to Latifah after his show was canceled, remaining resilient and proud of his work. 'Uncanceled twice, two years in a row. Now I don't know my history, but how many shows get to say that? I'm going to say none. Or we're one of the none. We did that and we are so proud,' he said in March.

Cate Blanchett Sounds Off on Award Shows: ‘It's Blasphemy'

Much-lauded actress Cate Blanchett thinks there are 'too many' awards shows in Hollywood, which are already too 'public facing,' she revealed in a new interview. 'It's blasphemy,' Blanchett said on the latest episode of Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers' Las Culturistas podcast. The Black Bag actress said she wants to 'go back to the day' when awards shows weren't televised. 'Bring that back and just have a great party where people can just let go,' she continued. 'I mean, the industry is so scattered… which I think could potentially be exciting or it could be really depressing. But it's at a pivot point, so we need to gather together and celebrate what it is that we do,' she said, 'without it having to have any public facing' element. Blanchett has won two Oscars and several BAFTAs, Critics' Choice, Golden Globes, Indie Spirits, and SAG Awards. In 2023's awards season, Blanchett seemed to be well on her way to her third Oscar win, this time for Best Actress in Tár, but Michelle Yeoh's historic win for Everything Everywhere All At Once contradicted predictions on Oscars night. Yeoh stirred controversy when she reposted a clip suggesting that Blanchett didn't need any more Oscars. Blanchett never publicly responded to the post, which Yeoh quickly deleted following backlash. 'The fashion's great' at awards shows, Blanchett said, 'And all of that stuff. Of course we'll find out in the end who won or who didn't win, but it would be so nice if that happened behind closed doors. It would be a very different evening.' While Blanchett wasn't arguing for award shows to be abolished altogether—'still have them,' she said—she just thinks it's all too much. 'It's so great that people's work is celebrated and in that way,' she added. 'I think there's a sense that, because this is the thing—all these films are amazing—so many amazing films and performances, and all of the craft awards, cinematography. You want to celebrate them, of course, but you can get sick of those films because they all get whittled down, as they must.' Blanchett concluded, 'I don't want to get sick of any of those films because they're brilliant.'
