Manitowoc County school bus driver arrested for possession of child pornography
MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 39-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant revealed he was in possession of child pornography, authorities said. According to a release, the Manitowoc Police Department launched an investigation based on a CyberTip from the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Manhunt underway for father accused of murdering his three daughters; former Wisconsin resident The CyberTip indicated that a cloud storage account user attempted to share a file from the account. Investigators reviewed the file and confirmed it was a video depicting child sexual abuse material. Through the investigation, police identified the owner of the Dropbox account as Justin J. Zipperer of Manitowoc. Authorities determined the account contained numerous video files depicting child sexual abuse material. On Tuesday, officers executed search warrants at a residence in the 300 block of Riverview Drive and at a business in the City of Manitowoc where Zipperer was formerly employed. During the searches, officers seized numerous electronic devices. Zipperer was contacted and admitted to possessing and viewing the child sexual abuse material, according to police. He was taken into custody and booked into the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography. Reports of vehicle break-ins leads Kewaskum officers on search for 'discarded' loaded firearm Authorities noted that the purpose of the release is to identify any additional potential victims. Through the investigation, police learned that Zipperer worked as a school bus driver and had transported students in the Valders Area School District. Doctor who works at VA Medical Center in Mass. indicted on child porn charges, US Attorney says
A physician employed at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Bedford has been indicted on child pornography charges, the U.S. Attorney said Thursday. Sven Knudsen Ljaamo, 70, was indicted on one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Leah Foley said in a statement. Ljaamo was arrested and charged by criminal complaint on April 23. He was subsequently released on conditions after a detention hearing. Prosecutors allege that more than 100 graphic files that included photographs and videos of child pornography were uploaded to Ljaamo's Google account, according to the criminal complaint filed in federal court on April 22. Federal investigators seized more than 20 devices after obtaining a search warrant. 'Because of the volume of images, forensic analysis of all devices, including the devices described above, is ongoing,' the criminal complaint states. The complaint details graphic and disturbing images and pornographic videos depicting young girls being raped and sexually abused. In one image allegedly uploaded to Ljaamo's Google account, a naked man appears to be raping a girl believed to be between 5 and 8 years old, according to the criminal complaint. In another 37-second video uploaded to the account, a man is raping a girl believed to be between 9 to 13 years old, the complaint alleges. Federal investigators learned of the images and videos when Google submitted a Missing and Exploited Children CyberTip Report to Billerica Police, the complaint states. Google reported that the name provided by the user of the Google account was 'Sven Ljaamo.' Google reported that between May 8, 2024 and Sept. 10, 2024, the account had uploaded 108 files of suspected child pornography to Google Drive and Google Photos. When Ljaamo spoke to investigators, he allegedly admitted to viewing, downloading and saving the pornographic material involving female minors, Foley said. Ljaamo, in a written statement, confirmed that he 'bookmarked and accessed' several websites containing child pornography involving young children and specifically sites depicting 'young girls engaged in sexual acts,' investigators wrote in the criminal complaint. Specifically, in addition to other information, Ljaamo told investigators that 'that he has created folders titled 'Y,' and that 'Y' stands for 'young,'' the criminal complaint states. Investigators later seized Ljaamo's cell phone and laptop from his home, and another cell phone from his office at the VA Medical Center. 'On the laptop, inside the 'Y' folder, investigators found tens of thousands of pornographic and/or erotic images and videos,' the criminal complaint states. On the phone found at his home, 'inside the 'Y' folder, investigators found hundreds of pornographic and/or erotic images and videos,' the complaint states. If convicted of the charge of receipt of child pornography, Ljaamo faces a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, at least five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000. Allegheny Valley man arrested on child pornography charges
A man from the Allegheny Valley has been arrested and is charged with possessing child pornography, police say. The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office says Tyler Slezak, 25, of Natrona Heights, surrendered to detectives on Wednesday afternoon at Magisterial District Judge Carolyn S. Bengel's office in Brackenridge. Slezak is facing five felony counts of possessing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. Court records show a CyberTip led detectives to begin investigating Slezak. Detectives executed a search warrant on Slezak's home, where they say they seized a cellphone containing files of child pornography. AFFIDAVIT: Drunk driver causes crash killing woman, injuring others in East Texas
ALTO, Texas (KETK) — A woman is dead and others are injured after an Alto man was arrested for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle on Monday. Henderson County 26-year-old arrested for child porn possesion after CyberTip According to Cherokee County arrest records, Samuel Lee Schlemmer was driving fast on FM 1911 towards U.S. Highway 69 when he drove past a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle with three passengers. Officials said a woman was taken by EMS, but did not survive her injuries, the other two passengers were taken to a local hospital. Schlemmer participated in a sobriety test after authorities saw open alcohol containers in his truck, along with observing his slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. AFFIDAVIT: Huntington man arrested after sexually assaulting minor in April During the tests, Schlemmer showed signs of being intoxicated before being placed under arrest, records indicate. Authorities obtained a warrant for his blood, which was collected at a later time. Schlemmer told authorities he had a pistol in his truck, which was taken as evidence. According to records, Schlemmer is facing five charges, including: Intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle Two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle, SBI Unlawful carrying of a weapon Disregard of a stop sign Son of Smith County Clerk found guilty of assaulting peace officer Details about the woman who died have not been released at this time. Man in jail on suspicion of sexually assaulting two minors, deputies say
A 24-year-old man is in jail on suspicion of sexually assaulting two minors. Ethan Libby of Fresno is accused of committing sexual acts against minors, contacting minors for the purposes of sex and possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), deputies said. Detectives followed up on a CyberTip Friday afternoon and contacted Libby at the Bridgewood Crossing apartment complex, located at West Bullard and North Gentry avenues in Fresno. While detectives were investigating, they learned that Libby had allegedly sexually assaulted two minors. Libby was arrested and his electronic devices were collected for further analysis, deputies said. Detectives are concerned there might be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Libby is charged with four felonies, including oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child 10 or younger; possession of child pornography; use of a minor to sell/produce pornography; miscellaneous offense and arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd and lascivious behavior.
