Shaquille O'Neal shares this ‘big' problem he has with Elon Musk's Teslas
Shaquille O'Neal Basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal has reportedly ended his love for Tesla 's electric vehicles. The revelation came during a recent episode of 'The Big Podcast' featuring comedian Karlous Miller, where the NBA Hall of Famer cited concerns over the vehicle's electric range as the primary reason for the switch. During the podcast, Shaq explained his reasoning, stating, "I was into the Cyber Trucks, but they don't get enough, I want to say what's the word I'm looking for, electric mileage? Yeah, charger mileage." According to O'Neal, the Cybertruck 's energy consumption (measured in kWh) did not provide sufficient travel distance, ultimately leading him to seek an alternative. He directly compared his experience with the Cybertruck with his recently-acquired Cadillac ESCALADE IQ . The celebrity revealed his new automotive preference, stating, 'Then I just got one of those IQs system Escalade today, I was in Vegas, I ain't have to charge up for four days.' 'My cyber truck here if I go downtown to work tonight and come back, my gonna be struggling to get back. Right now it says 267 if I go to Atlanta to the thing and come back, when I come back it ain't going to be…" Shaquille O'Neal once liked Teslas O'Neal, known as "Shaq" or "Big Diesel," expressed his disdain for Tesla vehicles prior to acquiring his first Cybertruck in September 2024. However, he had a notable change of heart towards the ELon Musk-woned company after encountering Effortless Motors , a company that seemingly played a role in his initial Cybertruck purchase. This newfound appreciation, however, proved fleeting, lasting only for three Cyberbeast acquisitions. The range limitations of the Cybertruck ultimately led to Shaq's departure from the brand, after owning three of Elon Musk 's highly anticipated vehicles. It's worth noting that Effortless Motors was also involved in customising these Tesla vehicles for the former Los Angeles Lakers star.

Las Vegas police searching for suspect after Teslas set on fire, seemingly shot
Las Vegas police said Tuesday they are searching for a suspect after Teslas were set on fire and seemingly shot at a local business. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren said during a press conference that at around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, his police department got multiple '911 calls about a fire at a Tesla collision and sales center.' He said that multiple vehicles were burning when officers got to the scene. 'I can tell you that we believe the suspect approached the business wearing all black clothing, and he used what appeared to be Molotov cocktails and a firearm to conduct his attack. At least five Tesla vehicles were damaged, to include two of which were engulfed in flames,' he said. 'As I mentioned earlier, we're still in the process of collecting evidence, but it appears the suspect fired at least three rounds into different Tesla vehicles, so we do believe a firearm was used,' Koren added. The LVMPD said in a Tuesday press release that they, alongside the FBI and the Clark County Fire Department, were investigating the attack. 'Violent terrorism,' said Tesla founder and tech billionaire Elon Musk on the social platform X, which he owns, in response to a video the Las Vegas Review-Journal said depicted the incident. Also Tuesday, the FBI's field office in Kansas City said it and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were investigating damage to Cybertrucks at a Tesla dealership in Kansas City, Mo., according to a social media post. 'The FBI and ATF are working with the Kansas City, MO Police Department to investigate an overnight incident in which Cyber Trucks at a Tesla Dealership in south Kansas City were damaged,' the FBI's Kansas City field office said in a statement posted to Facebook. FBI, ATF investigating damage to Cybertrucks at Kansas City Tesla dealership
The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is investigating damage to Cybertrucks at a Tesla dealership in Kansas City, Mo., according to a Tuesday social media post. 'The FBI and ATF are working with the Kansas City, MO Police Department to investigate an overnight incident in which Cyber Trucks at a Tesla Dealership in south Kansas City were damaged,' the FBI's Kansas City field office said in a statement posted to Facebook. 'Similar incidents have occurred in several states and the FBI and ATF are coordinating with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to gather information,' the statement continued. Last week, President Trump signaled that he would be open to calling people who commit violence at Tesla dealerships 'domestic terrorists.' The president was asked if he could speak on some of the violence happening at Tesla dealerships, and a reporter also noted some people believe the people behind the violence should be labeled as domestic terrorists. 'I will do that, I'll do it. I'm going to stop them,' Trump said last week. 'Those people are going to go through a big problem when we catch them. We've got a lot of cameras up, we already know who some of them are. We're going to catch them.' 'And they're bad guys. They're the same guys that screw around with our schools and universities, the same garbage,' the president added. On Saturday, hundreds of protesters came together outside of Tesla showrooms to publicly display their dislike for the CEO Elon Musk and his work alongside the Department of Government Efficiency in an attempt to drastically reduce federal spending. Teslas set on fire with Molotov cocktails and shot with gun in Las Vegas attack
A suspect armed with a gun and Molotov cocktails launched a "targeted attack" against a Tesla location in Las Vegas early Tuesday, spray painting "resist," firing several shots and torching multiple cars, authorities said. Gunshots and flames erupted at the Tesla Collision Center, at 6260 Badura Ave., at 2:45 a.m. in the latest violent incident involving property associated with Elon Musk, the billionaire Tesla CEO and adviser to President Donald Trump. "This was a targeted attack against a Tesla facility, " LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren told reporters. "We do believe that it is isolated at this time. We do not believe there is further threat to the general public." The suspect wore all black, and "used what appeared to be a Molotov cocktails and a firearm to conduct his attack," Korean said. "At least five Tesla vehicles were damaged to include two of which were engulfed in flames," Koren continued. The attacker "fired three rounds into different Tesla vehicles" and at least one un-ignited Molotov cocktail was recovered from the scene, the assistant sheriff said. The word "RESIST" in all-caps was stray pained in red on the center's doors. Musk has been the point man for the Trump administration's attempts to drastically reduce federal programs with his Department of Government Efficiency. Those efforts have coincided with a wave of vandalism nationally that appear to be targeting Tesla vehicles and facilities. "This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong," Musk said in a statement posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter that he bought in 2022. "Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks." There will be more police assigned to Tesla locations around Las Vegas, Koren said. 'Violent acts like this are unacceptable,' said FBI Special Agent Spencer Evans, chief of the bureau's Las Vegas office. 'To those who might think that something like this is justifiable or potentially even admirable, we want to let you know it's a federal crime. We will come after you. We will find you.' About 22 hours before this Las Vegas incident and 300 miles away near San Diego, sheriff's deputies on patrol there drove by a Tesla dealership when "multiple cars were found with swastikas spray-painted on them," officials said. "In addition, several windows of the dealership building had also been spray-painted with swastikas and profanity," the San Diego County Sheriff's Office said. And in another overnight incident of suspected arson, police say two CyberTrucks were damaged by fire at a Tesla dealership in Kansas City, Missouri. The FBI said it's working with the ATF and the Kansas City police to investigate the incident. 'Similar incidents have occurred in several states and the FBI and ATF are coordinating with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to gather information,' FBI Kansas City said in a Tuesday statement.
