A&T's junior riders secure third cup win in succession
Astley and Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club have won the North & Scotland Junior Cup for the third successive year.
It was a closely-fought affair on a baking hot day at Hull, as the home side pushed A&T all the way to tie the match and force a run-off.
A&T's John White started from the unfavourable outside starting position, but pulled off a superb pass on Hull's Noah Lyon to take the race win and secure the cup .
North & Scotland Junior Cup final result: Astley & Tyldesley 45, Hull 45, Sheffield 30.
A&T scorers: John White 15 (plus 1 bonus), Frank White 15, Oscar Belt 7 (1), Josh Pilkington 6, Riley Candy 2.
There was another tie-break race in the Senior Cup final, but this time Hull's Jack Lister got the better of John White, for Hull to nick third place from A&T. Sheffield retained the cup, with Bury second.
North & Scotland Senior Cup final result: Sheffield 64, Bury 55, Hull 39, Astley & Tyldesley 39.
A&T scorers: John White 14, Steve Harris 10, Frank White 8, Oscar Belt 6, Riley Candy 1.
A&T raced to a narrow 76-70 win at Heckmondwike, in a close-fought North & Scotland League Division Two encounter. Duncan Whalley raced unbeaten for A&T, with Oscar Belt dropping only one point.

A&T made it a double success with a convincing 58-10 win in the Division Three match as James Jackson raced unbeaten.
