Heartless straphanger snatched sleeping passenger's dog on NYC subway
Cops are hunting for a heartless New York subway thief who stole a sleeping passenger's American Bully and took off with it in a brazen robbery in the Bronx. The pup was snatched from its 45-year-old owner on a northbound D train close to the Bainbridge Avenue and East 206th Street station at around 6 a.m. on Sunday morning, NYPD sources said on Wednesday. The unidentified dog-napper then took off with the black and brown dog, police said. 'The individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 20–25 years of age, slender build, medium length black braids, brown eyes and a black goatee,' police said. Cops are hunting for a suspect who snatched a sleeping passenger's dog from a NY subway. DCPI A video of the smirking suspect going through a subway turnstile wearing a black faded jacket, black t-shirt, shorts and shoes, along with a black Yankees baseball cap was shared by police. So far there have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. Gun-toting NYC trio steals $3OK Cartier Santos watch off man's wrist
A gun-toting trio robbed a man of his $30,000 Cartier Santos watch in Manhattan over the weekend — after foiling the victim's attempt to save his pricey timepiece and flee in a taxi, cops said. The 46-year-old victim was walking on West 37th Street near Dyer Avenue in Hudson Yards around 5:15 p.m. Saturday when three suspects stormed up to him and demanded the pricey watch, authorities said. The quick-thinking watch-wearer tried to get away by hopping into a taxi – but his undeterred pursuers chased after the cab, police said. A popular jewelry influencer zapped with a Taser and robbed of $560,000 in bling by two masked crooks in Queens called the wild caught-on-camera heist a 'set up.' Moshe Haimoff aka 'The Watch King' told The Post Monday he's been looking over his shoulder since the masked brutes shoved him to the ground and stole his watch, chain and a trio of bracelets in his front yard last week. 'I'm scared to leave my house now,' Haimoff, 39, said of the Wednesday morning heist. Obtained by the NY Post Haimoff, who boasts big-name clients like Pete Davidson and over 2 million social media followers, was approached by one of the thieves — dressed in a construction worker's vest — in front of his SUV on the street at 10 a.m., surveillance footage from the incident shows. The robber pins him down before his masked accomplice in a similar vest joins in, raiding Haimoff of most of the flashy items he was wearing, according to the footage. The two suspects escaped in a waiting silver Mercedes-Benz SUV with a getaway driver in the driver's seat, police said. 'I'm sure I was targeted, I'm sure I was set up,' he said. 'My neighbor left the house two minutes, three minutes before me, nobody touched him. 7 The thieves stole Haimoff's watch chain and three bracelets. Haimoff said the first thief hit him with a stun gun on his right leg that gave out as he raced back to his home where a surveillance camera could capture the stick-up. The pair initially grabbed another necklace, but tossed it back because it had his logo 'WK' on it, the influencer said. 'That they threw at me and said we can't use this,' he recalled. Haimoff suffered cuts and bruising to his wrist and neck, and was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital – but the emotional scars will last longer, he said. Queens man, 63, allegedly raped 14-year-old boy — and authorities fear he may have more victims
A Queens sicko was busted for allegedly raping a 14-year-old boy — and slipping him a $50 bill after the disturbing encounter — and now authorities fear he may have additional child victims. Virgilio Taveras, 63, was charged with second-degree rape and other sex offenses after he allegedly lured the teen into his car and sexually assaulted him near the intersection of 175th Street and Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica, Queens around 1 p.m. on July 1, according to the criminal complaint. The child told police he was walking along 171st Street when Taveras pulled up slowly in a silver sedan, honked several times, and offered him a job in construction if he got into the car, court documents revealed. Virgilio Taveras, 63, was charged with second-degree rape and other sex offenses. DCPI Once the boy got in, the alleged predator allegedly sped off, asked about his dating life, and told the youngster he was attractive before abruptly pulling over and assaulting him. The accused creep then slipped a $50 bill into the minor's pocket as he exited the car, according to the complaint. Taveras was arrested two days later by members of the Special Victims Squad, police said. He was arraigned Friday in Queens Criminal Court for second-degree rape, luring a child, forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree sexual abuse. Bail was set at $20,000 cash and $60,000 bond. Police said the accused creep was driving this car when he approached the minor. DCPI The NYPD has since released the fiend's mugshot and images of the car he used to approach the young boy in hopes of finding additional victims. Maniac bites, slashes NYC Family Dollar workers who tried to stop him from shoplifting: cops
A maniac bit a Bronx Family Dollar worker who tried to stop him from shoplifting – and then slashed another employee during a violent heist this week, cops said. The suspect barged into the discount store on Webster Avenue near East 168th Street in Morrisania around 2:35 p.m. Monday and started swooping up unspecified items from the shelves, police said. Two employees, a 22-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, tried to intervene, authorities said. Advertisement That's when the brutal thief bit the male worker on his arm and finger – and slashed the woman on her arm with a knife, cops said. The violent suspect bit a 22-year-old male worker who was attempting to stop him from shoplifting, police said.
