Dholera investment regions sees 10-fold jump in land prices over a decade, say developers
Representative image The Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) in Gujarat, envisioned as a smart industrial city under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), has witnessed a tenfold increase in land prices over the past decade, driven by growing investor interest and rapid infrastructure development , according to local developers. 'Prices per square yard across various Town Planning (TP) Schemes in the Dholera region have increased to a high of Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000,' said Lalit Parihar, Founder and Managing Director of Dholera-based developer Aaiji Group, citing available industry data. In other TP schemes, land prices currently range from Rs 3,000 to Rs 7,000 per square yard, reflecting a tenfold rise over the last 10 years, he added as quoted by PTI. The region's transformation is being accelerated by major infrastructure projects nearing completion, including the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and the upcoming international cargo airport, both expected to be operational in 2025. 'The 109-kilometer expressway is progressing rapidly, and projects like the Bhimnath-Dholera broad-gauge rail line and the Vande Metro will significantly enhance connectivity in the region,' said Ruturajsinh Chudasma, Partner at Dholera-based Infinity Infracon. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025 Top Trending local enterprise accounting software [Click Here] Esseps Learn More Undo 'With infrastructure now visible on the ground, investor confidence is at an all-time high. Even after a decade, Nashik awaits inclusion under DMIC
Nashik: Industrialists from Nashik have urged Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to include Nashik in the second phase of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project. A delegation of Nashik Industries & Manufacturers' Association (AIMA), led by its president Ashish Nahar, recently met MIDC CEO P Velarasu in Mumbai and urged him to make efforts to include Nashik at least in the second phase of DMIC project. Velarasu assured the delegation that he would make all efforts to include Nashik in the second phase of DMIC. Nahar said they held talks with MIDC CEO Velarasu on various industry-related issues. "We requested him to make efforts for inclusion of Nashik in the second phase of DMIC project," he said. "We are also planning to meet Union minister of commerce and industries Piyush Goyal and request him to include Nashik in DMIC project," added Nahar. The DMIC project seeks to create a strong economic base with a globally competitive environment and state-of-the-art infrastructure to activate local commerce, enhance investments, and attain sustainable development. In 2013-14, Nashik was not included in the first phase of DMIC primarily due to concerns raised by the state's water resources department about the availability of water for industrial use, despite the district having numerous dams. The Water Resources Department expressed its inability to reserve water in the dams for the project. The provision of 24 million litres per day (MLD) of water was required for the second phase. Nashik was excluded from the first phase due to the report by WRD, but Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was included in the first phase at that time. Even after a decade, Nashik is still awaiting its inclusion in DMIC project, even though industrial organisations have been making efforts by pursuing the state govt for inclusion in the second phase of the project. "Nashik has significant potential in manufacturing, agriculture, and food processing. If Nashik is included in the second phase of DMIC, it would boost industrial growth, attract largescale investments, and create employment opportunities," said Manish Rawal, vice-president, NIMA.

100 trains, 12 platforms, airport-like facilities and...: New 'king' of railway network to be built in...., It's name is... The pace of development of Western Uttar Pradesh is happening at a lightening speed. A grand and ultra-modern railway station 'Greater Noida Terminal' is going to be built in Bodaki area of Gautam Buddha Nagar district, which will be the biggest railway terminal of western Uttar Pradesh till date. This will not be just a station, but a multimodal transport hub (MMTH) that will turn Greater Noida into India's smartest railway connection hub. The station, to be built on 176 hectares of land near Bodaki, will be an integral part of the MMTH project, with 46 hectares of land alone being used for the railway terminal. The station has been specifically designated as a 'mega terminal'. It will have 12 large platforms, which will handle around 100 trains every day, including high-speed trains like the Vande Bharat Express . The terminal has been designed as a complete transit experience , not just a place to catch a train. It will be built as a multi-level structure with train movement below and amenities like retail stores, office space and guest houses above. It will also have hi-tech features like state-of-the-art toilets, food court, waiting lounge and digitalised information system to give passengers an airport-like feel. The initial estimated cost of this mega project was around Rs 1,850 crore , but due to rising construction costs and expansion of facilities, its cost has now almost doubled. The built-up area of the station will be 70,000 square metres. There will also be 63 yard lines here, where maintenance and parking of trains will be done. This mega terminal is an important project of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). The terminal will also ensure direct metro and bus connectivity to Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi and other areas of NCR. It will include ISBT (Interstate Bus Terminal), local bus terminals and a metro station, connecting the entire region with a robust and integrated transit system. The project was declared a special railway project in December 2024, which has accelerated the land acquisition for it. According to officials, now only some land belonging to the railways is left to be acquired, which will be completed in two months under the Railway Act. Acquisition of other lands has already been completed.
