Gemma Atkinson 'very proud' as Gorka Marquez shares major Strictly announcement
Gemma Atkinson has rallied behind Gorka Marquez as he made a significant announcement about his future on Strictly Come Dancing. The professional dancer was earlier this year confirmed to be making a comeback to the BBC One dance competition as part of the pro line-up. Alongside Gorka, it was revealed that Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin and Luba Mushtuk will once again grace the dance floor. They'll be joined by Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola. When the pro line-up was confirmed, it was also announced that two brand new professional dancers will be making their debut, with the newcomers being So You Think You Can Dance champion Alexis Warr and Australia's Dancing With The Stars' Julian Caillon, reports the Manchester Evening News. While it's still uncertain which professional dancers will be paired with celebrity partners this year, given there are more pros than contestants, Gorka has already ruled himself out of competing in the competition this year. (Image: BBC) On Wednesday (August 6), during the second week of rehearsals ahead of the pre-recording of the group numbers set to feature throughout the upcoming series, Gorka took to Instagram to reveal he was returning as a judge to the Spanish version of Strictly, Bailando con las estrellas, for a second series. Announcing the news on Instagram on Wednesday (August 6), the 34 year old revealed: "I am happy to announce that I will be back for season two of BAILANDO CON LAS ESTRELLAS as a judge from September. "Due to the filming dates this means that I won't be competing with a partner this year in Strictly but I will be a part of lots of the group numbers and will be back for final weeks of the show to support the rest of my fellow pros and their celebrities in what is going to be an AMAZING SERIES. "As always thank you for all The love and support and remember! Keep dancing! ! !". His fiancée Gemma, whom he met on Strictly back in 2017, was swift to respond, commenting: "Vamos! Very proud." She also posted his announcement to her own Instagram Story and declared: "So proud! ! Back as a judge on Strictly in Spain!". Two stars from Strictly Come Dancing have sparked excitement among fans with a joint announcement about how enthusiasts can continue to see them 'keep dancing' into the following year. Devotees of the popular BBC One dance programme will be aware that Kai Widdrington and Lauren Oakley are set to return as professional dancers for the upcoming series this autumn. They'll be gracing the ballroom floor once again when the contest kicks off in just a few weeks, joining fellow pros Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, and Neil Jones. We're absolutely delighted to share that the dynamic duo Kai Widdrington and Lauren Oakley will be joining us for TWO of our 2026 Donaheys Dancing with the Stars weekends! "Get ready for phenomenal dance workshops, dance showcases, and fascinating Q&A sessions where you can dive deep into their incredible careers!" Meanwhile, Strictly's cheerful stars have been spotted returning to rehearsals for week two, as they gear up to pre-record the group numbers that will feature throughout the forthcoming series. This follows a busy week of rehearsing the upcoming group numbers, after which the team took a weekend break. They are now back for another week, ahead of the pre-recording of the group numbers scheduled for the end of August.

'I really loved the way you honoured your culture, I thought it was just so beautiful,' Helen Richey said. 'I've been on this show from the very, very beginning. Nikki Garcia's real life divorce was referenced in her WWE comeback
Liv Morgan mocked Nikki Garcia's divorce from Artem Chigvintsev during her WWE return. The 41-year-old WWE Hall of Famer - who is known in the wrestling world as Nikki Bella - made her comeback on last night's (09.06.25) episode of 'Monday Night Raw' on Netflix, and she had an in-character confrontation with the 31-year-old Women's Tag Team Champion. As part of the storyline, Liv interrupted Nikka's comeback speech and said: "You know what , Nikki? You're lucky. You're lucky I wasn't around during your career because I would've been champion and beaten you around then too. "But you know what? As I'm talking, I realise why you didn't mention me. You didn't mention me because you're jealous of me. "You're jealous of me because I have everything that you don't. I have respect, I have a championship, and I have a man!" Nikki fired back with comments about Liv's on-screen boyfriend Dominik Mysterio, before getting laid out in the middle of the ring. The scripted exchange - which appears to be setting up a match between the two superstars at 'WWE Evolution' on July 13 - was a reference to Nikki's real life split from her ex-husband Artem. Nikki and the former 'Dancing With The Stars' professional settled their divorce in November, three months after his domestic violence arrest - which was dropped with no charges - and last month she insisted she's not looking to date again at the moment. Speaking on SiriusXM's 'The Nikki and Brie Show', she said: "I really put myself out there in different situations, and went out of my comfort zone, whether it was with business on appearances, showing up, you know, packing the calendar, the schedule. "I did things that I learned lessons from, whether it worked or it didn't work, it was successful or not, I really put myself out there. "I went on some dates. Not ready for it yet, but I put myself out there. Tried it out. Not ready for it." Her twin sister Brie said she was "happy" her sibling tried to date again,. Nikki added: "[I] just wanted to get my feet a little wet and I just realized I'm not ready for this, but you know, I could have just stayed in hotel rooms and just, you know, on nights that would've been wrapped up at like 7pm. "I went and had some drinks and had conversations and realised that that's not what I want to do right now. Well, at least not date-wise."
