American rock band announces Wembley stadium shows
My Chemical Romance have announced two surprise shows at Wembley Stadium - the band's first UK shows in four years. The American EMO rockers will perform at the London venue in 2026 after adding the dates to their Long Live The Black Parade Tour, originally announced last year as an eleven date tour of north America. They will now perform additional shows in Mexico City and London, with the Wembley gigs expected to take place next summer between July 10th and 11th. British fans discovered the band will perform in the capital city in a post shared across its official social media channels on Monday morning. Tickets will go on sale from 10:00am on Friday August 15, with the UK shows their first since 2022, when the band staged shows initially cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic in Milton Keynes and Warrington. My Chemical Romance, comprised of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bass guitarist Mikey Way, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero and lead guitarist Ray Toro, are widely considered to be one of the most influential bands of the 2000s. Over the course of the decade they released four albums, with their last - Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys - selling over a million copies globally following its release in 2010. The group disbanded in 2013, but reunited for a one-off show in 2019 and subsequently announced a reunion tour to take place the following year, only for the sweeping coronavirus pandemic to push it back for a further two years. After returning to the stage in 2022, they released The Foundations of Decay, their first new song since 2014. On Sunday evening, Wembley Stadium's official X account preempted the announcement by sharing a cryptic post of the venue's iconic arch illuminated in red neon. Last year, the band confirmed it would celebrate the anniversary of career-defining 2006 rock opera The Black Parade with a series of north American shows. However they suffered tragedy in November when drummer Bob Bryer was found dead at his Tennessee home, resulting in the band playing only two shows that year . The band will travel to Mexico City for two shows on February 13 and 14 2026 before flying to London for two final shows later in the year. Each date features a different opener, from veterans like Alice Cooper and Devo to alternative rock contemporaries like Evanescence and Thursday, as well as newer talent, like 100 Gecs and Wallows.

My Chemical Romance to return to Korea for the first time in 18 years
American rock band to perform at Paradise City Culture Park in Incheon on April 18, 2026 Emo rock legends My Chemical Romance are finally making their long-awaited return to South Korea, nearly two decades after their first and only performance in the country. The band is set to hold a one-night-only concert on April 18, 2026, at Culture Park in Paradise City, Incheon. This marks the band's first concert in Korea since the show in 2008. The upcoming concert is part of the band's new world tour "Long Live The Black Parade," which kicks off in the US on Friday. The band will visit 27 cities in North and South America and Asia, and is likely to add more stops. Formed in 2001, My Chemical Romance — consisting of Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro and Frank Iero — has released four studio albums so far. The band's second studio album in 2004, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," and 2006's "The Black Parade" shaped the emo genre and brought it into the mainstream. "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys," released in 2010, captured listeners with its bold, dystopian concept. The band earned both critical and popular acclaim through numerous hit songs like "Welcome to the Black Parade," "Helena," "Teenagers" and "Famous Last Words," solidifying its place as one of the defining acts of 2000s alternative rock. After disbanding in 2013, the group reunited in 2019 and has since experienced a powerful resurgence. Prior to the upcoming world tour, the band had successfully wrapped up its 2022 European tour, celebrating their full return. Tickets for the band's Korea concert will be available via the pop music platform Ualive and ticketing site Ticketlink. Pre-sale for Ualive users begins at noon on Friday, while general ticketing opens at noon on July 14.

Nitrous oxide tanks found beside late My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar
Bob Bryar, former drummer for My Chemical Romance, had tanks of nitrous oxide next to him when he was found dead, according to reports. TMZ reported that Bryar's autopsy report — obtained from the Bedford County Medical Examiner in Tennessee — included unsettling details about the drummer's death at 44 in November. Bryar's body was found with three large nitrous oxide containers and attached tubing, according to TMZ. While the autopsy report did not specifically cite the 'laughing gas' as a cause of death, it noted the canisters appeared ready to be inhaled, and raised concerns of a possible overdose. The exact cause of death was 'best classified as undetermined.' One obstacle to determining a cause of death was the body's state of decomposition, which the autopsy described as significant. Bryar was last seen alive Nov. 4 and discovered in his Tennessee home Nov. 26. Additionally, the report noted, the body showed signs of 'animal scavenging activity,' and noted that two dogs were found in Bryar's home. Bryar performed with the group for six years, including on its landmark 2006 LP 'The Black Parade,' before leaving in 2010. He co-wrote five songs on the band's most recent LP, 2010's 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.' After Bryar's death, My Chemical Romance said in a statement that 'It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Bob Bryar, our former bandmate and an important part of the history of My Chemical Romance. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family at this time. May he rest in peace.'
