Six students from Andhra Pradesh top in NEET UG-2025

VIJAYAWADA: Six students from Andhra Pradesh have figured in the top 100 list of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2025. Among them, Darbha Karthik Ram Kireeti has emerged as the State topper with an All India Rank (AIR) of 19, and a percentile score of 99.9991400. The National Testing Agency conducted NEET UG-2025 at 5,468 centres located in 552 Cities across the country, and 14 cities outside India on May 4. More than 22 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance test. Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan secured AIR 1, while Avika Aggarwal got AIR 5 and emerged as the female topper. According to official data of NTA, AP student Podavati Mohith Sriram secured AIR 56 with a percentile of 99.9974653, Desina Surya Charan from Visakhapatnam got AIR 59 with 99.9972390. Podilapu Avinash bagged AIR 64 scoring 99.9968316. Yerra Sameer Kumar of Visakhapatnam stood 70th with 99.9968316, while Tummuri Siva Manideep ranked 92nd with 99.9954737. No student from Andhra Pradesh secured top rank in any category, except Karumanchi Vikrant, who got ninth rank in SC category with 99.9878243 percentile. Kireeti hails from Rajamahendravaram. He completed his schooling from LKG to Class 8 in Trips International School, and from Class 8 to Intermediate at Tirumala Junior College.

Visakhapatnam: Six students from Andhra Pradesh have secured ranks in the top 100 in NEET UG 2025, the results of which were released on Saturday. Darbha Karthik Ram Kireeti achieved an impressive all India rank (AIR) of 19. The other high achievers include Kodavati Mohith Sri Ram (AIR 56), Desina Surya Charan (59), Podilapu Avinash (64), Yerra Sameer Kumar (70), and Tummuri Siva Manideep (92). Interestingly, the top three performers, Kireeti, Mohith, and Charan, also found places in the top 10 ranks of the Andhra Pradesh EAPCET 2025 in the agriculture stream, the results of which were released about a week ago. A total of 59,219 candidates registered for NEET 2025 in Andhra Pradesh, of whom 57,934 appeared for the exam and 36,776 qualified. This represents a decline of over 7,000 students from 2024, when 66,522 had applied. The qualifying percentage also fell to 63.5% in 2025, compared to 67.5% the previous year. Darbha Karthik Ram Kireeti, who secured 19th rank (General category) at the All-India level, was the topper of Andhra Pradesh in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), UG, 2025, the results of which were announced on Saturday by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Besides Mr. Karthik Ram, five other students from Andhra Pradesh secured all-India level ranks below 100. They were Kodavati Mohith Sri Ram, who secured 56th rank (General category), Desina Surya Charan, who secured 59th rank (General category), Podilapu Avinash, who secured 64th rank (OBC-NCL (Central List), Yerra Sameer Kumar, who secured 70th rank (OBC-NCL (Central List), and Tummuri Siva Manideep, who secured 92nd rank (OBC-NCL (Central List). The name of Karumanchi Vikrant from Andhra Pradesh, who secured all-India 262nd rank, figured in the list of top 10 rankers in the SC category. Among the national toppers were Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan, who bagged the first rank, Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh, who secured second position, and Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra, Mrinal Kishore Jha and Avika Aggarwal, both from Delhi, who secured the third, fourth and fifth ranks respectively in the General category.
