Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 Not Cancelled, Set To Air In January 2026
The list of contestants participating in the 15th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi is still under wraps.
For a long time, reports of uncertainty regarding Rohit Shetty's Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 have been making headlines. Some even suggested that the stunt-based reality TV show was cancelled. Recent reports confirm that the reality show is set to return to screens once again, featuring fresh faces and edge-of-your-seat stunts.
As reported by TellyChakkar, the stunt-based reality show is confirmed to return with Season 15, scheduled to premiere on Colours TV in January 2026. Unlike previous years, where the names of the contestants would leak even before the start of the shoot, this time, there has been no such report on the confirmed list of contestants.
Back in April this year, a source told News18 Showsha that Khatron Ke Khiladi might get cancelled because its production house, Banijay, decided to back out. A source close to the development further shared that the decision to cancel the stunt-based reality show was being made for multiple reasons.
The primary reason was that while the channel (Colors TV) wanted to push Khatron Ke Khiladi from its May schedule to later in the year, the production house was not keen on doing it. Besides this, the show's production was also struggling to get dates from the host, Rohit Shetty, who also has a packed schedule. Now, it seems all those hurdles have been resolved, and fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Although the list of contestants remains under wraps for now, the producers are likely saving it for the big reveal, possibly sometime this year.
Speaking of Khatron Ke Khiladi, the popular reality TV show follows a format where contestants face their fears and compete in thrilling challenges. The first season of the show premiered in 2008 and was hosted by Akshay Kumar. Rohit Shetty took over the hosting responsibilities from the actor in season five in 2014. Arjun Kapoor replaced Rohit Shetty as the host in season seven, but the latter made a comeback the following season and has been hosting ever since. Khatron Ke Khiladi season 14, whose tagline was 'Darr Ki Nayi Kahaaniyaan In Romania", aired from July to September 2024. Actor Karan Veer Mehra competed against 12 contestants to lift the trophy of season 14.
