Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 Not Cancelled, Set To Air In January 2026
For a long time, reports of uncertainty regarding Rohit Shetty's Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 have been making headlines. Some even suggested that the stunt-based reality TV show was cancelled. Recent reports confirm that the reality show is set to return to screens once again, featuring fresh faces and edge-of-your-seat stunts.
As reported by TellyChakkar, the stunt-based reality show is confirmed to return with Season 15, scheduled to premiere on Colours TV in January 2026. Unlike previous years, where the names of the contestants would leak even before the start of the shoot, this time, there has been no such report on the confirmed list of contestants.
Back in April this year, a source told News18 Showsha that Khatron Ke Khiladi might get cancelled because its production house, Banijay, decided to back out. A source close to the development further shared that the decision to cancel the stunt-based reality show was being made for multiple reasons.
The primary reason was that while the channel (Colors TV) wanted to push Khatron Ke Khiladi from its May schedule to later in the year, the production house was not keen on doing it. Besides this, the show's production was also struggling to get dates from the host, Rohit Shetty, who also has a packed schedule. Now, it seems all those hurdles have been resolved, and fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Although the list of contestants remains under wraps for now, the producers are likely saving it for the big reveal, possibly sometime this year.
Speaking of Khatron Ke Khiladi, the popular reality TV show follows a format where contestants face their fears and compete in thrilling challenges. The first season of the show premiered in 2008 and was hosted by Akshay Kumar. Rohit Shetty took over the hosting responsibilities from the actor in season five in 2014. Arjun Kapoor replaced Rohit Shetty as the host in season seven, but the latter made a comeback the following season and has been hosting ever since. Khatron Ke Khiladi season 14, whose tagline was 'Darr Ki Nayi Kahaaniyaan In Romania", aired from July to September 2024. Actor Karan Veer Mehra competed against 12 contestants to lift the trophy of season 14.

The re-release of Aanand L Rai's Raanjhanaa, starring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, has sparked major controversy over its AI-altered climax. The filmmaker and Dhanush are reportedly considering legal action against the production for failing to obtain approval from the script's authorised owners before rewriting the ending using AI. Originally released in 2013, Raanjhanaa had become one of the most memorable love stories of its time. In the latest development, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has shared his views on the interference of AI in art. In an interview with Zoom, Shoojit Sircar remarked that artistes across various fields are struggling to safeguard their craft. Speaking about the controversy, he said, 'I haven't seen Raanjhanaa, but have heard what they've done to it. The fight has always been that every filmmaker in this country, every art and talent, has to be protected." Shoojit Sircar On Threat Of AI In Film Industry Shoojit Sircar added, 'Their vision has to be protected. All our lives go into protecting our art. Somebody is not critical about it, someone is not shattering it." He mentioned that while he cannot comment on what they have done to Raanjhanaa, but was sure that they are fighting to safeguard the artistic and free expression rights. 'If someone has a vision, everyone in the industry must safeguard it. The struggle is to protect it. Efforts should be taken towards that and not to dismantle it," he concluded. Raanjhanaa Alternate Ending Explained Raanjhanaa, starring Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Swara Bhasker, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and others, was both a critical and commercial success. In the original climax, Dhanush's character, Kundan, dies after being betrayed by Zoya, played by Sonam. However, in the AI-altered version, Kundan regains consciousness after the betrayal.
