Brookville community uplifted by man's generous free bicycle giveaway
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – One man is making a significant impact on the Brookville community one bike at a time. Dave Nugent, 'the Brookville bicycle man,' gave away dozens of bikes for free on Saturday. Just in time for Easter. Nugent said he fixes up broken bikes in his spare time and gives them to local people who don't already have one. He said he never expects anything in return, he simply does this as a kind gesture to help those who need it. 'I want to thank everyone for coming to my Bicycle giveaway. It was so wonderful to see everyone,' said Nugent in a social media post. 'Sorry, I ran out, but I appreciate all the people I can help.' This event was his first-ever group bike giveaway. Brookville bicycle man prepares for Easter giveaway
BROOKVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — Just in time for warm weather, one local man is giving away free bicycles this weekend. Dave Nugent, the Brookville bicycle man, will be giving away free bikes of all shapes and sizes to kids this weekend. Those interested can visit 142 June Place, Brookville at 10 a.m. on Saturday. 2 NEWS has previously featured Nugent on Tell Me Good News. Nugent has found a hobby of fixing up bikes to give to kids who don't have one.
