SHAH ALAM: An email believed to be written by missing British teenager David Renz Galletes Balisong was sent to his parents urging them not to try and locate him, say police. 'The email was sent to his mother on July 9. It said not to worry or try to find him. 'It also said that he prayed for the well-being of all his family members, that he was sorry for doing so (disappearing) and that he was not sure when he would return,' Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said. He was asked for updates on the missing person case during a press conference at the police contingent headquarters here yesterday. Comm Hussein said Balisong is believed to still be in the country and urged those with any information to contact the police. The teenager, who has been reported missing, arrived in Malaysia on June 7. Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, singer Datuk Amy Search has filed a police report against another singer, Shila Amzah. Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed the report was lodged. This comes after Shila, 34, claimed she was assaulted by a singer during a rehearsal for a concert.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Police believe missing British teenager David Renz Galletes Balisong, who entered Malaysia on June 7, remains in the country. Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the investigation is ongoing to trace the whereabouts of the 17-year-old, Berita Harian reported. 'So far, we have recorded statements from five individuals to assist in the investigation' he was quoted saying Police investigations last Friday found that the teenager left KLIA and boarded a bus heading to KL Sentral here shortly after arriving in Malaysia. Authorities previously said there is no immigration record of the teenager's exit from the country. It was previously reported that that the teen had flown to Kuala Lumpur from the United Kingdom last month without his family's knowledge. Prior to that, Balisong reportedly told a sibling that he was leaving for examinations at his school in Manchester.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 — Missing British national David Renz Galletes Balisong, 17, is believed to have taken a bus to KL Sentral after arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on June 7, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said. He said Balisong was believed to have exited KLIA and boarded the bus to the capital shortly after landing in Malaysia, Harian Metro reported. Police have yet to determine the real reason behind the teenager's visit, and the consulate has informed that his mobile phone remains unreachable. 'A further check with the Immigration Department found no record of the teenager exiting Malaysia,' Hussein was quoted as saying. He added that the teen's mother has also not been reachable, but the consulate has informed that she is expected to arrive in Malaysia soon. Yesterday, Datuk Fadil Marsus, Acting Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Bukit Aman, said the teen is believed to be still in the country. It was previously reported that that the teen had flown to Kuala Lumpur from the United Kingdom last month without his family's knowledge. Prior to that, Balisong reportedly told a sibling that he was leaving for examinations at his school in Manchester.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating the disappearance of a British teenager who entered Malaysia through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on June 7. The case has been classified as a missing person report, with authorities appealing for public assistance. Acting CID Director Datuk Fadil Marsus confirmed the youth, identified as David Renz Galletes Balisong, is believed to still be in the country. 'Active investigations are ongoing to gather all relevant information for case resolution,' he stated in an official release. Authorities have circulated the teenager's photograph to aid search efforts. Fadil cautioned against public speculation that might disrupt investigations, emphasising, 'Members of the public with information are urged to channel it to the police.' Inspector Hazuin Jan Abdul Hamid of KLIA District Police Headquarters is leading the probe. Witnesses may contact the hotline 017-7369187.
