Butts County deputies catch accused drug trafficker after he runs from traffic stop with meth
The Butts county Sheriff's Office said deputies caught a man accused of trafficking methamphetamine after a traffic stop. The drug bust happened Friday afternoon, when deputies from the Special Operations Division Crime Suppression Unit and the Narcotics Unit stopped a vehicle heading south on Interstate 75. The sheriff's office said that's when Michael Brown, Jr. took off running while 'carrying a large quantity of methamphetamines.' The Georgia Department of Corrections helped catch Brown with their blood hound tracking teams assisting Butts County deputies and Brown was taken into custody without incident, the sheriff's office said. While running from law enforcement, the sheriff's office said Brown tossed more than a pound of meth. Sheriff Gary Long commended his deputies and the GDOC officers for catching Brown. Long before Bravo's housewives were flipping tables and stealing spotlights, Huffman and her band of perfectly imperfect suburbanites hit the ground running in 2004 on ABC, redefining what it meant to live behind a white picket fence. Now, years later, 'Scandal' star Kerry Washington will executive produce an upcoming revival, 'Wisteria Lane.' Washington's involvement sparked discussion on Wednesday's episode of 'Good Morning America' when Huffman was asked to share her thoughts. 'Can I ask you about 'Desperate Housewives?'' co-host Robin Roberts eagerly asked, noting the buzz surrounding the new take on the beloved drama. 'Isn't that great,' Huffman said almost instantaneously. 'They're going to do Wisteria Lane with women of color — and I am all for it.' After voicing her support, Huffman joked that she 'will be doing craft services for the project.' But Huffman admitted she thinks it would be 'distasteful' if she appears in the reboot. 'I think it should just live on its own,' she stated. Mehcad Brooks talks sex scenes before 'And Just Like That' Season 3 debut
He's in an empire state of mind. Mehcad Brooks, who has been starring on 'Law & Order' since 2022, is also joining another iconic New York show: the 'Sex and the City' universe. The spinoff series 'And Just Like That' returns for Season 3, premiering Thursday, May 29 on Max. Brooks, 44, is among the new cast members this season.
