Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel witnesses a light and sound multimedia show titled 'Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai'
Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], June 1 (ANI): Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attended the 'Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai' Light and Sound Multimedia Show held at Vastral, Ahmedabad. According to a release, on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary celebration of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, Minister of Cultural Activities Mulubhai Bera, Minister of State Jagdish Vishwakarma, and Mayor of Ahmedabad Smt. Pratibha Jain also witnessed the Gujarati play based on the multimedia show depicting the life and legacy of the revered queen. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the armed forces for the resounding success of Operation Sindoor, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel remarked that Indian history is replete with courageous warriors and valiant women who fought bravely and emerged victorious. Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was not only a brave ruler and a skilled warrior but also a protector of faith and culture. At a time when battlefields were dominated by men, Ahilyabai fearlessly took up the sword and shield, leading her forces with unmatched determination. According to the release, the Chief Minister further remarked that Devi Ahilyabai demonstrated how the same hands that nurture an infant are equally capable of wielding a sword when circumstances demand. Emphasising this point, he noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advanced the legacy of women's empowerment championed by Punyashlok Ahilyabai, under the guiding ethos of 'Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi'.' 'Devi Ahilyabai's strategic acumen and martial prowess have always been highly acclaimed. During her reign, she established a model of good governance and set remarkable ideals that continue to inspire generations,' CM Patel said. As per the release, speaking further about the invaluable contributions of Devi Ahilyabai, the Chief Minister stated that during her reign, she set remarkable examples of good governance while undertaking inspirational work in areas of public interest such as justice, education, social welfare, religious welfare, and water conservation. She played a significant role in the upliftment of women and the underprivileged sections of society. Devi Ahilyabai Holkar made a profound contribution to the preservation of our heritage and religious values. She was instrumental in the renovation and reconstruction of several important religious sites, including the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Somnath Temple, and Mahakaleshwar Temple. As per the release, elaborating further, the Chief Minister added that Devi Ahilyabai also initiated several noteworthy measures in the field of social welfare. She empowered tribal and economically disadvantaged women by promoting the hand-weaving of Maheshwari sarees, helping them become Aatmanirbhar. PM Narendra Modi has worked towards preserving heritage alongside development. In her memory, the Prime Minister has issued a commemorative postage stamp and a special Rs 300 coin. The Chief Minister concluded by stating that we should all draw inspiration from the life of Devi Ahilyabai and contribute to building an inclusive, prosperous, and secure India. He also lauded the initiative of the state's Youth and Cultural Activities Department for organising the 'Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai' Light and Sound Multimedia Show, based on the life of this legendary icon of Sanatan culture. Ahmedabad City BJP President Prerak Shah, in his welcome address, greeted all attendees and stated that Devi Ahilyabai Holkar made invaluable contributions in the fields of religious and social upliftment, including the renovation of the Somnath Temple. It is noteworthy that in celebration of the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, the Department of Sports, Youth, and Cultural Activities, Government of Gujarat, in collaboration with the Commissioner of Youth Services and Cultural Activities, Gandhinagar, organized the 'Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai' Light and Sound Multimedia Show at Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Hall in Vastral, Ahmedabad. The event was graced by the presence of political leaders, including Ratnakarji, Member of Parliament Dinesh Makwana, city MLAs, the Deputy Mayor of Ahmedabad, local councillors, dignitaries from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, former MLAs, and former Mayors. PM Narendra Modi to unveil Indore's first Metro, 2 airports in Madhya Pradesh today
BHOPAL/INDORE: Indore, the country's cleanest city, will get its first Metro train on Saturday when Prime Minister Narendra Modi flags off the inaugural run during his visit to Bhopal for a Women Empowerment Conference on the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai. The PM will also inaugurate Satna and Datia airports, lay the foundation for construction of ghats on River Kshipra under a Rs 778 crore project and transfer the first instalment for 1,271 new panchayat bhavans, costing Rs 483 crore. PM Modi will release a postage stamp and 35g coin dedicated to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai. A govt official said the Rs 300-denomination coin is the first such in the world. Governor Mangubhai Patel, chief minister Mohan Yadav and Union culture minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will attend the event at Bhopal's Jamboree Maidan where the PM will address a gathering of over 2 lakh women. The CM said it will be a "historic day" for Madhya Pradesh. Over 150 years after the Holkar rulers initiated construction of Indore's first railway line (to Khandwa) at a cost of Rs 1 crore, a Rs 7,500 crore is on to give citizens a hassle-free commute across the historic city. The network is over 31.3km long, of which the first stretch of 6km will be inaugurated by the PM on Saturday. Indore Metro's opening route has five stations: Gandhinagar and Super Corridor-6, 5, 4 and 3.

MP CM Mohan Yadav flags off 'Ahilya Vahini' women bike rally in Bhopal

CM Yadav emphasised that the rally was dedicated to the visionary thought of Devi Ahilyabai that she started a new chapter by strengthening the foundation of women empowerment with her good governance, justice and compassion. Speaking to reporters, CM Yadav said, 'A day before the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, today, a women's bike rally 'Ahilya Vahini' was taken out from Shaurya Smarak here in Bhopal. It is a message of good governance of Devi Ahilyabai's rule in the state and across the nation. Our government is running on the path of its good governance, be it cultural stream, means of employment, or advanced methods of good governance. We align with the path shown by our great personalities.' 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving in Bhopal on May 31 to mark the celebration of the birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai. We have made all the preparations and management to welcome him here in the city. The program scheduled to be held on the occasion will be centred on women and women's empowerment so that they can live their lives being self-reliant. The PM will be here to fulfil the resolve for the purpose,' the CM said. Additionally, CM Yadav also flagged off the bus carrying women participants under the 'Maa Tujhe Pranam' scheme on the occasion. The scheme aims to familiarise youth with the historical, cultural, and geographical significance of various locations across the state. According to an official release, as part of this initiative, 90 young women from the Gwalior-Chambal division will visit prominent sites in the Bhopal division, including Shaurya Smarak, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhojpur, Van Vihar, Sanchi Stupa, and the international-level shooting and equestrian academies. The 'Maa Tujhe Pranam' scheme, launched by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare in 2013, has so far enabled 15,667 young men and women to experience study tours to India's international borders, it added. During the interaction, CM Yadav enhanced the knowledge of the students by highlighting the complete life story of Maharani Durgavati and Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. Additionally, the Chief Minister also took a selfie with the students. 'Nothing is greater than the nation, and the nation's interest is paramount. Women in India have always been empowered; they were strong even when they had limited rights, and remain equally empowered today when they have all rights. Rani Durgavati and Devi Ahilyabai set remarkable examples through their courage, valour, determination, and administrative skills. They not only ruled effectively but also strengthened the governance system. Their lives were not easy, there were numerous struggles, obstacles, hardships, and challenges. Yet, they never gave up and they ultimately achieved their goal by fighting through every difficulty. That is why today, we remember them for their bravery,' CM Yadav said. The Chief Minister further narrated the story of Rani Durgavati and Devi Ahilyabai in detailed to the students mentioning the important instances of their lives. CM Yadav also told the students about the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai on May 31 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state capital on the occasion to address a program centered on women. 'Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was born on May 31, 1725 in a Maratha Hindu family in a village called Chaundi, which is now in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. May 31 marks the 300th anniversary of her birth, which is why not only Madhya Pradesh but the entire country is celebrating her 300th birth anniversary with great enthusiasm. On May 31, PM Modi himself is coming to Bhopal to attend 'Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan' organized in the memory of Devi Ahilyabai here,' the CM said. He also urged the students to participate in the program and take inspiration from the personality and work of Devi Ahilyabai. During the CM's Pathshala at the college, the students also asked questions to CM Yadav and he answered all the questions with ease and persuasion. Chief Minister Yadav further took glimpses of new household products, light lamps, designer mirrors, fabric, designer kurtas and other exhibits made of ceramics by the students under the 'Holistic Upskilling Nari Shakti Project' at the Women's Polytechnic College and praised the innovations of the girls. Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 20 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed satisfaction over holding cabinet meeting at Rajwada in Indore on Tuesday and said that it was first moment post independence that state government sat inside the palace and took various far-sighted decision for the welfare of the public. In view of the 300th birth anniversary year of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, the state government organised the cabinet meeting at Rajwada Palace in the city, which is closely associated with Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. 'We are satisfied that our cabinet members not only learned a lot about Devi Ahilyabai from yesterday, but also they participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the renovation of Lalbagh Palace of the Holkar empire this morning. Today, after many centuries, especially after independence, this is the first time that the Madhya Pradesh government sat in the Rajwada and took various Public welfare-oriented, long-term, and far-sighted decisions with impacts lasting for centuries,' CM Yadav told reporters. CM Yadav further informed that the formation of the Metropolitan Development Authority for the five major cities of the state, which include Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Gwalior. Along with this, many other decisions were made during the cabinet meeting here. CM Yadav also expressed gratitude to the residents of Indore on the occasion. Meanwhile, Former Lok Sabha speaker and veteran BJP leader Sumitra Mahajan also lauded the state government's decision to hold the cabinet meeting at Rajwada Palace and said that it was a very good thought of the chief minister to organise the meeting at the place in the city. 'It is a matter of great importance that a cabinet meeting was organised here in Indore on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary year of Devi Ahilyabai and our CM thought of conducting it here. Also, the administration of Indore, including the mayor and officials made a good arrangement at Rajwada for the meeting. It is very good that the meeting was held here. Our CM is very active and a history enthusiast,' Mahajan said. During the cabinet meeting, various proposals were given nods, including approval of Rs 773 crore for MY Hospital for upgrading the facilities and arrangements in the hospital. (ANI)
