According to a Senior Moga education department official, Prasad informed authorities that the video was shot in July while he was on election duty. He said that he spent a few hours in his office with his family, during which the video was recorded 'for entertainment purposes only." He stated that his wife runs a YouTube channel, and their children uploaded the video there before it was picked up and shared on social media. 'We are still waiting for his written reply to the showcause notice, which is expected on Wednesday," according to an official. Further, speaking to a local channel shared that he hails from Ferozepur and was on election duty at his Moga office on the day the video was shot. 'My wife had joined me in the office because it was our marriage anniversary. Government should take up BC census in A.P., says RPI leader
The Republican Party of India A.P. unit extended its support to the Backward Classes (BCs) who staged a sit-in protest in Vijayawada on Tuesday. RPI A.P. unit president Uppuleti Devi Prasad visited the BCs dharna camp and extended his support. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Devi Prasad said that the Central and State governments were following policies against the SCs, STs, BCs and other minorities. He requested both the governments to give priority to the SCs, STs and BCs in all walks of life. The State government should take up BC census in A.P. and give due reservation to them in all the legislative bodies, Mr. Devi Prasad said. The RPI leader asked the State government to enact laws that will protect the BCs as promised during the election time. He also came down heavily on the TDP-led government for not implementing the election promises despite being in power for one and half years.

Surat Police have successfully solved a murder case that was initially treated as an accident. However, as investigations progressed, it became clear that the victim's death was not accidental but a premeditated the discovery of key clues, police arrested four individuals in connection with the crime. Among them is Devi Prasad Pal, a friend of the victim for over a decade; Shiv Kumar, also known as Maharaj Ramnarayan Mishra; his wife, Meena Devi Mishra; and an associate, Monu Chandrabali Gautam, who was traced to July 14, 2025, the body of an unidentified man was found in a deserted area near the road connecting Sania to Khambhasala village in Surat. The victim's head was crushed, leading police to initially suspect a road accident. A formal case of accidental death was registered. However, suspicions arose due to the low volume of vehicular movement in the area. Investigators also recovered a dual-SIM mobile phone near the body, with one SIM card missing. When the police traced the device's call history, it led them to the residence of Meena Devi being informed of the incident, Meena Devi identified the phone and the clothes on the body as belonging to her husband, Shiv Kumar, confirming his identity. But her response raised red flags. She asked whether her husband had indeed died and, if so, how she could claim his insurance money—displaying no visible signs of lack of emotion further deepened police suspicions. Investigators examined CCTV footage from various locations and found that on the night of July 13, Shiv Kumar was seen traveling to Kamrej on a moped with his friend Devi Prasad. Later, he was spotted boarding one of the two trucks owned by Devi Prasad at a petrol police tracked the truck's movement using additional CCTV footage and discovered it veered off course, raising more a press briefing, Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot confirmed that the victim's close friend had orchestrated the murder after being inspired by a plot from the television serial 'Sasural Simar Ka'.
