Hindustani Bhau On First Raksha Bandhan Since Shefali Jariwala's Death: 'Khudh Rakhi Bandhi Tere Naam Ki'

Bigg Boss 13 fame Hindustani Bhau marked the first Raksha Bandhan without Shefali Jariwala with emotional tributes. Raksha Bandhan was a bittersweet day this year for those closest to Shefali Jariwala. The actress, best known for her stint in Bigg Boss 13, shared a sibling-like bond with Hindustani Bhau (Vikas Phatak) – one that went beyond the reality show and lasted until her sudden death. On Saturday, Bhau posted an emotional tribute to Shefali on Instagram. Alongside a throwback picture with her, he wrote, 'Happy Rakshabandhan Beta. Aaj Maine Khudh Rakhi Bandhi Tere Naam Ki. Miss You." The post was set to Dhaagon Se Baandhaa, a heartfelt track from Akshay Kumar's film Raksha Bandhan. The two first met inside the Bigg Boss house, where they instantly clicked. From then on, Bhau would visit her every year for Raksha Bandhan so she could tie him a rakhi. This year marked the first time he carried out the ritual without her. Shefali's husband Parag Tyagi also marked Raksha Bandhan this year in a deeply emotional way. In a video now going viral, Parag could be seen tying a rakhi to their beloved pet dog on behalf of his late wife, Shefali Jariwala. The heartwarming yet heartbreaking clip has touched fans across social media. In the video, Parag carefully ties the rakhi around their peg dog, Simmba's paw while performing the rituals affectionately. Parag also made it a point to tie a rakhi on the wrist of Ram, probably their staff member, marking the festival in the wake of Shefali Jariwala's death. 'Pari, you used to tie Rakhi to Our baby Simba and our Ram. I want you to keep doing it through me so today I tied Rakhi to Simba and Ram from ur side.. Now I am going to fulfil all ur duties… Love you till our last breath," wrote Parag while sharing the heart-wrenching video, also featuring a big portrait of himself and Shefali in the backdrop. Parag has often taken to social media to share memories of his late wife. Recently, he decorated the walls of their Mumbai home with framed photographs capturing moments from their life together, including pictures with Simba. He has also expressed how both he and their pet continue to struggle with the void she left behind. For friends and family, Raksha Bandhan will never quite be the same. But through small rituals, heartfelt posts, and cherished memories, they are keeping Shefali's spirit alive. Shefali Jariwala Death Shefali's sudden death at age 42 was reportedly due to cardiac arrest. Known as the 'Kaanta Laga Girl" after rising to fame with the early 2000s music video remix, Shefali went on to appear in Salman Khan's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and took part in reality shows like Nach Baliye with Parag and Bigg Boss 13, where she became a household name once again. In the days after her death, fans and close friends were devastated — but many were especially moved by how deeply their dog Simba was affected. Parag had earlier shared that Simba wasn't doing well emotionally, and even participated in traditional rituals that are usually carried out by a son.
