Many times I thought of ending my life, but then I remembered I am my mother's only support,' Dhakad told India Today 's sister channel Aaj Tak. He also said: 'I have decided that I will fight this legal battle impartially by selling tea in the very area where I was trapped by misuse of the law.' 'Every time I go to court, all I get is tareekh pe tareekh (adjournment after adjournment). Justice seems nowhere in sight. Now I am tired and have decided to fight this legal war by running a tea stall in Anta,' Dhakad added. According to the media report, Malav alleged, 'He asked for money from my father to buy land. When we refused, he beat me up. I then returned to my father's house. I'm ready for a divorce, but first, all the loans taken in my name must be repaid.'

BJP's Manohar Dhakad Gets Bail For Lewd Act On Expressway, His Lawyer Says Video AI-Generated
Last Updated: Manohar Lal Dhakad was allegedly seen on camera engaging in a lewd act with a woman on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, after which he was arrested on Sunday. BJP leader Manohar Lal Dhakad, who was allegedly seen on camera engaging in a lewd act with a woman on a highway, has been granted bail after he was arrested in connection with the matter. Dhakad was allegedly caught in a sexual act on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, which was caught on camera and widely shared on social media. Another video showed the two dancing on the expressway. Based on this, a case was registered, and Dhakad was arrested. The case against Dhakad was filed under BNS sections 296 (obscene acts and songs in public places), 285 (danger or obstruction in a public way or line of navigation), and 3(5) (Collective crime) at Bhanpura police station on May 23, according to the Times of India. Police also raided Dhakad's residence in Bani village on the same night and seized the car seen in the CCTV footage, although the leader himself was not found at the premises. Meanwhile, authorities have yet to identify the woman seen in the videos. After the incident created a stir, the Yuva Mahasabha organisation expelled Dhakad from the post of national general secretary. Although Dhakad is associated with the BJP, the Yuva Mahasabha claimed that he was not a member of the party and only filled out an online application form to join the BJP. Moreover, BJP district president Rajesh Dixit also clarified that Manohar Dhakad was not a primary member of the party. 'AI-Generated Video' After Dhakad received bail on Monday, his whereabouts remain unknown, but his lawyer, Sanjay Soni, raised doubts on the authenticity of the video, saying it was AI-generated. 'In the age of AI, cutting, trimming, and editing videos is not a big deal. The video should undergo thorough scrutiny," he was quoted as saying by Aaj Tak, adding that the video was not subject to a forensic investigation. The video was captured on the night of May 13, in which Dhakad was seen stopping his vehicle on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway and engaging in an inappropriate act with an unknown woman near his vehicle. The Congress also targeted the BJP on the matter. The BJP has distanced itself from the matter. The party has revealed that Dhakad had not been given any responsibility. Interestingly, Dhakad's wife is a member of the Gram Panchayat in Mandsaur district. Meanwhile, some reports have also surfaced alleging that Dhakad was being blackmailed by employees of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) control room over the videos, and they had allegedly extorted Rs 20,000 from him. PM Modi's Mahila Sammelan On May 31: BJP Woos Women Amid Munirathna FIR, Leaders' Viral Clips
Last Updated: BJP leaders, cadres, women entrepreneurs, self-help group members, Ladli Behnas and women working in various fields are expected to attend PM Narendra Modi's Bhopal rally on May 31 At a time when the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is facing embarrassment with scattered but serious incidents involving party members and leaders, the BJP has decided to go for a quiet image makeover to keep its core vote bank — women — intact. As in most cases in the BJP, this time, too, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be doing the firefighting. MODI TO BJP'S RESCUE On May 31, Modi will address the 'Mahila Maha Sammelan' in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, with an eye on women empowerment. This women-only event has been organised on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar – a woman ruler in the male-dominated 18th century. BJP sources say the choice of the date was deliberate to send across the message that Modi's BJP stands with women. PM Modi will also release a special commemorative postage stamp and coin dedicated to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. While PM Modi will attend other government events on the day such as inaugurating the Indore Metro Rail Project, the focus will be his rally with women, which not just BJP leaders and cadres but women entrepreneurs, self-help group members, Ladli Behnas, and women working in various fields are expected to attend. The task to make the women's rally a success has been given to the 1,000 women workers of the BJP. In this regard, a crucial meeting, where every woman present in the meeting will be given the duty of her unit, will be held in the state BJP headquarters on May 27. The women's wing of Madhya Pradesh BJP has already held a meeting this Saturday over the issue, discussing the broad contours, where leaders such as state general secretary Bhagwan Sabnani, and minister in the Mohan Yadav Cabinet Krishna Gaur were present. THE RECENT INCIDENTS Recently, a video showing Manoharlal Dhakad in a compromising position on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway went viral. Amid speculation that Dhakad was associated with the BJP, BJP's Mandsaur district unit chief Rajesh Dixit clarified that Dhakad had taken the primary membership of the party online, but he was not a leader of the BJP. However, his wife was. Dhakad has been arrested. In another incident, a woman was seen hugging BJP district president Amar Kishor Kashyap in the now-viral CCTV video of the party's office in Gonda. However, the 30-year-old married BJP worker associated with the party for nearly three years claimed her 'character was tarnished needlessly in a political conspiracy" and that the leader was ' like an elder brother" to her. But BJP state general secretary Govind Narayan Shukla issued a notice to Kashyap, demanding a written explanation within seven days, citing indiscipline and damage to the party's image. Less than a month ago, senior BJP leader Babban Singh Raghuvanshi was caught in a video purportedly showing him engaging in obscene acts with a dancer at a public event, following which the Uttar Pradesh-based leader was sacked. Raghuvanshi, a former BJP candidate from the Bansdih assembly seat, was seen seated with a woman dancer on his lap. However, Raghuvanshi denied wrongdoing, calling the video doctored. But the most high-profile incident was from Karnataka, where an FIR was filed against BJP's sitting MLA Munirathna and his associates after a 40-year-old woman accused them of gang-raping her, urinating on her face, and injecting her with a deadly virus, according to the police. He was elected from Karnataka's Rajarajeshwari Nagar four times and is the incumbent MLA from the constituency. With the May 31 Mahila Maha Sammelan in mind, the Madhya Pradesh BJP has asked all mandals to bring 20 women each to the venue. With the tone and tenor of the event set, all eyes will be on Modi's message that day, not just for others, but also for within his party. Madhya Pradesh Leader Arrested After Obscene Video Goes Viral
Bhopal: A political leader, Manohar Lal Dhakad, who was captured in a 'compromising situation' with a woman on Delhi-Mumbai expressway by a CCTV camera installed at a nearby toll booth , was arrested on Sunday. The purported video (IANS does not confirm its authenticity) involving the local 'political leader' from Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, went viral on Saturday, sparking widespread discussions with political undertones. The footage, captured by CCTV cameras along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, allegedly shows the leader in a 'compromising situation' with a woman outside a car on the road, engaging in an 'obscene act". Following the video's rapid circulation on social media, Bhanpura police station in Mandsaur district took suo motu cognisance of the public nuisance and obscene crime, registering a case against the individual. 'He has been arrested under Sections 296, 285, and 3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita. However, we are investigating the matter further, as we need to determine who made the video viral and the motive behind it. Even if the footage was captured on CCTV, those in possession of the clips must hand them over to the police. We also need to ascertain whether other individuals were involved in the crime,' said R.C. Dangi, the investigating officer and in-charge of Bhanpura police station, while speaking to IANS. The woman seen in the 'obscene act' has not yet been arrested. 'We need to conduct a thorough investigation before deciding what legal action can be taken against her. If more people were involved, we will include additional provisions under the BNS,' the police officer added. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party had outrightly denied that Mr Dhakad was even a primary member of the party. Yashpal Singh Sisodiya, spokesperson for the party and a former legislator from Mandsaur, said: "This is a highly objectionable and shameful act by the individual identified as Manohar Lal Dhakad and the woman. He is not even a primary member of the BJP. However, anyone can technically join the party by giving a 'missed call' to a designated mobile number." Mandsaur district BJP president Rajesh Dixit also stated that Mr Dhakad was not a primary member of the party. Since the video footage emerged online on the night of May 21, 2025, it has garnered significant attention, with social media users debating its implications. Reportedly, the Dhakad Mahasabha Yuva Sangh has denounced him with immediate effect. The accused leader belongs to the Dhakad (Kirar) community.
