Days of Our Lives May 28 Episode Recap: Does Rachel Know Who Shot EJ? Here's What She Tells Kristen
On the May 28 episode of Days of Our Lives, Belle arrives at Alex 's office and the two start talking about Philip and the heist he had pulled. Belle states that he had good intentions and he wanted to make things right with Xander. Alex tells her about seeing Xander the day before and how differently he behaved around the same time Philip was attacked. They do not know if Xander is Phillip's attacker, but in case he is and Philip does not wake up, the question arises, what will happen to the companies, both DiMera and Titan? Abe senses something is off with Kate At the hospital, after Roman reassures Kate that Philip was looking better ans will wake up, she asks her husband to go home and start breakfast. Then Abe and Paulina run into her, and they have a chat. Once Paulina goes to get coffee, Abe asks the reason why Kate was so sure that Xander was Phillip's attacker. Without answering this question, Kate runs off to see Philip's doctor. What does Rachel tell Kristen? In the episode, EJ and Kristen have a talk about John and the hospital, with Kristen snapping at him that she can't deliver Brady's vote, and also calls out her brother for his behavior, despite his claims that he has changed. After EJ leaves, Rachel tells Kristen that she does not feel good, and ever since the tea party, her stomach has hurt. Rachel suggests that she was not sick but upset. Then Rachel talks about having a bad dream after her birthday. Later, stating, 'I heard a gunshot,' not in the dream but in real life. The episode also showed EJ and Johnny's encounter. At the square, EJ tries to call Johnnybut he turns away. While following him, EJ falls. As soon a that happened, Johnny tried to help him. As EJ pulls himself up, his son turns and walks away. Later, Kristen asks Rachel what she remembers about that night EJ was shot. Rachel states about waking up when she heard yelling and suck down to witness EJ and Johnny fighting and he carried a gun.

Days of Our Lives May 27 Episode Recap: Did Arianna Lie to Gabi About Her Whereabouts? Find Out
In the May 27 episode of Days of Our Lives, the audience saw Arianna lying to her mother, a conversation about jobs with Javi and Leo, along with Gabi and Javi coming face to face. To fill you in, since Javi no longer works for Gabi, he needs another job. Leo suggests that he be a firefighter since it was his dream. Javi is hesitant to do that because of his previous experience with homophobia. Leo makes sure to tell him that if he experiences that again, he will back Javi up. Gabi worries about Arianna's whereabouts Gabi is in full panic mode since her daughter was out all night ans did not answer her texts. After getting snippy with JJ, she thanks him for helping her, given the fact that they have not been on teh best of terms. As the two have food, Gabi goes to worst-case scenario, JJ suggests another possibility that a boy may be involved in this. Meanwhile, the scene shifts to Ari and Doug being in bed at the Salem Inn. As they get dressed, teh duo decides to see each other again, along with Doug assuring that he does not have a girlfriend. Later, as Gabi rushes into the Square, she asks Ari to spill where she was. Ari lies that she was at a childhood friend's house. Later, Javi joins them, and things take a turn as Gabi apologizes for letting him go. Johnny wants to name his child after John After seeing John's condition at the hospital, at home, Johnny tells Chanel that he wants to name their child after John. Chanel saw this as a good idea for when the day arrives. The couple talks about his job at Titan, with Chanel asking if her beau actually wants to work with Xander. Johnny mentioned that Xander wasn't arrested for attacking Philip. Also, he needs a job so he does not have to depend on DiMera money to provide for his family when they have kids. Chanel then notices that he said kids, plural. He then expresses his thankfulness for supporting him, and both end up expressing their adoration and love for one another.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Chanel Asks Johnny if He Shot EJ
On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Stephanie's Apartment: Stephanie awakens to find Alex reading her manuscript. He says her writing is steamy and he just can't put it down. Stephanie pokes fun saying she knows erotica is up his alley. Alex admits it did hold his attention but also thinks she is just a talented writer. He thinks the book is a best seller waiting to happen and thinks Titan should publish it. Stephanie says no way as she doesn't want her PR name associated with a tawdry romance novel. Alex suggests she write under a pseudonym. She is keen on the suggestion and suggests Harper. They chat a bit more before Alex makes note of certain hot scenes and they decide to act one out. Alex learns about some urgent business he needed done when out of town. He mentions Xander wants to put in a bid to buy University Hospital to counter EJ's. Stephanie wonders if there will be a bidding war but Alex says Kayla turned him down. He hopes Titan/DiMera will be allowed to save the day. Brady Pub: Outside, Leo is pushing Javi to quit his job. Javi isn't so sure as he doesn't want to let Gabi down. He also had no clue what he wants to do next. Leo encourages him to engage in a little quiet quitting by doing the bare minimum at work. Inside, EJ addresses his son as 'John Roman' and says he's glad they can talk. Johnny quickly says he can't stand to be around him and tries to leave. EJ begs him not to go. Johnny says he has nothing to say to him. EJ says he forgives his son, which thoroughly confuses him. EJ thinks Johnny knows exactly what he's talking about and says he will protect his son with his life. Johnny realizes his father remembers the night of the shooting. EJ understands why Johny pulled a gun on him and suspects it's the same reason he pulled out of the adoption. Johnny confirms his father's suspicions and EJ apologizes. He says his son is a wonderful person who deserves happiness and a family. Johnny agrees but also says he isn't sorry for anything that happened the night of the shooting. EJ is thrown and says it seems his son's only regret is that he lived. Johnny says he's right. EJ can't believe his son hates him so much. Johnny looks at his father and feels only disgust and hatred. EJ tells Johnny to be careful as even he has his limits. Johnny knew his father being a changed man wouldn't last very long. EJ says it's the truth, but Johnny thinks he is play acting. He thinks the real EJ exists right beneath the surface. Johnny wants his father out of his life, for good. Before Johnny leaves, he tells his father Xander has been courting him for a job at DiMera to get back at him. Johnny says he has officially decided to go to work for the enemy. With that, he exits. Horton Square: Sarah appears to be choking when Chad and Cat ask what they can do to help. Sarah indicates she isn't choking but Cat still heads off to call 911. Sarah continues to cough and wheeze as Javi and Leo approach. Javi runs over and says she is in anaphylactic shock. He asks about an epi pen, and she has one in her purse. Javi stabs the pen into her leg and Sarah begins to breathe more easily (looks like Javi might have found his passion). Xander looks around to thank Javi who has suddenly disappeared. Chanel arrives and is filled in on what happened. She remembers Sarah is allergic to pistachios and notes the vegan version of the tasty treat is made with pistachio milk. She fears there was a mixup with the order. Chanel runs off to figure out what happened. Xander addresses Felicity and asks about her careless mistake. Cat and Chad get very defensive, and Felicity says she wasn't careless. Chanel returns and says the entire situation is her fault as she accidentally gave Sarah the vegan version and apologizes for being distracted. Sarah says all is ok and knows it was an accident. Cat clears her throat and says Xander owes her sister an apology. Before he can do so, the paramedics arrive. Cat and Chad tell Felicity nothing was her fault. She says she always tries to do her best, and Cat gives her a huge pep talk full of all her recent accomplishments. Chad backs her up and says Felicity is amazing. Chanel returns saying Sarah and Xander left in the ambulance. She apologizes to Felicity and says nothing was her fault. Chanel decides to close the bakery for a few hours and gives Felicity the rest of the day off. With that, they head off to grab Felicity's stuff. Afterwards, Cat and Chad get all kinds of cute about their upcoming date. Chanel returns to the square and sits by herself, devastated by her mistake. Johnny walks up and asks what's going on and Chanel is in tears saying she is not ok. Johnny goes to his beloved and takes her in his arms. Random Park: Leo chases down Javi and says how amazing he was with Sarah. Javi tries to blow it off, but Leo isn't having it, saying he is a hero. He doesn't understand why he made such a quick exit. Leo is quite confused when Javi says he didn't want all the attention. Javi is evasive but finally says he has some medical training as he was supposed to be a firefighter/EMT. He went through the entire program and quit. Leo asks what happened, but Javi asks to table the conversation for now and he backs down. Leo and Javi enjoy sweet treats. Leo asks about what it was like to be a firefighter/EMT, specifically if he ever posed for a calendar or if he still has the uniform. Javi asks how Leo can ask so many ridiculous questions. They move along to be super adorable about their fire for each other. University Hospital – Sarah's Room: Xander walks in and says he updated Maggie on Sarah's condition. She's headed over for a visit as soon as she puts Victoria to bed. Sarah is very disappointed their small vacation ( I need her to stop saying mini-moon) but Xander says the only important thing is that she is ok. He is furious with himself for forgetting her allergy to pistachios. Sarah says they should just be grateful Javi showed up when he did. Brady Pub: Outside, Cat, Felicity and Chad walk by when EJ emerges. He asks his brother if they can have a word in private. Cat and Felicity say their goodbyes and make their exit. EJ asks Chad if he's sure he's not smitten with Ms. Greene. Chad ignores his brother's comments and asks what's up. EJ says he needs help making a pitch to buy University Hospital. Chad asks for more information and EJ mentions how good they have been to him and wants to help them keep their doors open. Unfortunately, Kayla is opposing his bid. He wants Chad to go before the hospital board and turn on his charm. Endings Javi tells Leo about once saving a cat from a tree. He appreciates Leo's interest in his former job but he is about to be late for his current one. With that, he exits. Leo gets out his phone and does a little digging about Javi's former life. Xander thinks they should send Javi a gift, like a fruit basket. Xander thinks better of it as it could be considered homophobic. Sarah giggles and says he's being ridiculous. Xander says he doesn't want to make another mistake since he already screwed up with Felicity. They both agree they couldn't live without one another before they kiss (Oh Lawd, when the truth comes out…). Alex says he has been left in charge of Titan while Xander and Sarah are away. He would gain huge points with the boss if he could help pull off this deal with the hospital. Stephanie says he is doing all he can and thinks they should take a little time to reenact pg. 246 from her book. Alex likes the way Stephanie thinks. Chad agrees to help with the board. That being said, they are going to need to move quickly. Chad says he just got word Xander has put in a competing bid. Johnny tells Chanel what happened with Sarah was an accident. She gets it but feels so guilty for making such a stupid mistake at her place of business. Johnny does his best to be supportive which eventually brings a smile to his wife's face. Chanel says being in his arms felt right and she has missed him. She says she's done some reflecting and realizes Johnny made the right decision. Days of Our Lives Recap: Sarah Chokes on Chanel's Sweet Bits
On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Horton Square: Cat and Chad meet up and discuss Felicity. Chad tells her about the discussion with EJ and says he cancelled her date with his brother. She notes how weird it is that EJ bid on her when he's already seeing Belle. Chad says since he awakened from his coma, his brother claims to be a more generous and patient person. She remains curious as to why someone would throw that much money around. Chad says he offered to reimburse his brother and Cat wonders why. Chad says he doesn't think she should be indebted to EJ. They resolved the situation by EJ giving the date to Chad. Cat is somewhat tickled Chad wants to go on a date with her. He understands it will be weird but notes they are now friends, and they should be cool. With that, they both agree to the date. Paulina and Abe's Apartment: Abe asks how he feels about their new place (it's new?) and she says she can't believe how quickly they unpacked. He notices Chanel seems off and she says she's had trouble sleeping. Abe says how sorry he is about the adoption falling through. He says he knows exactly how she feels. Abe relays how he and Lexie raised Isaac as their own for two years before they had to return him to his biological parents. Chanel notes he and Lexie were able to get past it which leads Abe to note how they were sent Theo, who helped heal their hearts. Chanel thanks him for sharing but says Johnny has lost his desire to be a father which makes a miracle baby impossible. Further, she's not even sure she and Johnny will be able to find their way back to each other. Chanel can't understand why Johnny didn't come to her when he was having so many doubts. Why would he possibly call off the adoption without even consulting her? Abe agrees Johnny didn't handle the situation well but thinks he would actually agree with that assessment. Chanel has an epiphany when she compares Lexie to Johnny. Lexie went off a cliff when they lost Isaac and thinks the same thing happened to Johnny when EJ was shot. Abe wonders if Chanel is considering the possibility Johnny shot his father. Chanel recalls Johnny saying he wishes his father died and how long he was gone the night of the shooting. She wonders what she should do and Abe says to talk to Johnny to see if he can help ease her mind. With that, they embrace and Chanel heads off to work. Titan – Xander's Office: Johnny arrives to see Xander, and they chat about his time at the Salem Inn. Xander wonders if he has considered his offer. Johnny wants to know why Xander is interested in hiring someone with limited corporate experience. Xander says he knows Johnny is capable and thinks having a respectable DiMera around will help with the recent takeover. Johnny is skeptical and pushes for any other reason for the offer, such as using him to get back at EJ. Johnny thinks sticking it to his father makes the offer even more attractive. He asks what his job will be and Xander simply says he will be a valued employe and they will be glad to have him. Johnny agrees to consider the offer and the two men part ways. University Hospital – Kayla's Office: Kayla walks in and finds EJ behind her desk. He says they have some unfinished business. He wanted to give her another chance to accept his offer to buy the hospital before he goes to the board. Kayla is well aware of the DiMera's donations to the hospital and also knows there are always strings attached. She will not be responsible for the DiMera family taking control of the hospital that is Tom and Alice Horton's legacy. EJ says her self-righteous stand will not prevent him from owning the hospital. With that, he exits. Sarah arrives and says she was checking on patients before heading out of town with her family. She mentions a specific patient and asks her to keep an eye on him. Sarah asks who she sent to the conference in her place and Kayla says it was Dr Russell. Afterwards, Kayla mentions EJ's offer to buy the hospital and how she turned him down. Sarah hesitates and then says she understands the difficult history with the DiMera family. Kayla wonders if she thinks she made the wrong decision. Sarah does like the idea of the hospital being saved but says she is Chief of Staff which makes it her call to make (that's not at all true). Sarah says if EJ wants to buy something he thinks it's a good investment. If that's true, there must be other buyers. University Hospital – Lobby: EJ runs into Marlena and is annoyed by Kayla. EJ launches into his further irritation with Johnny still not giving him the time of day. Marlena pushes and EJ says he doesn't know how he can continue trying to evolve when everyone is so skeptical of his efforts. Marlena reminds him how many people he has hurt in the past. If he wants people to think better of him, he needs to be patient. If EJ continues his efforts, people will come around. Marlena says Belle thinks EJ's desire to change is genuine which makes her thinks he has hope. EJ appreciates her faith in him. He goes on to say how grateful he is to have Belle in his life and how much he cares for her. The connection worries Marlena as she knows what happens to people, he cares about. She asks if he loves Belle. He says how much he cares for her and says she is in good hands. Marlena worries about Belle based on what happened between EJ and Samantha Gene. EJ asks about Johnny and Marlena says she is having lunch with him today and will ask her grandson to contact him. She knows how much Johnny is carrying and worries what he might do next, with that, EJ flashes back to Johnny confronting him with a gun. In real-time, Marlena asks if EJ is ok. He lies and quickly makes his exit. Sarah arrives and tells Marlena she is doing one last round with her patients before she and Xander head out of town. Marlena thinks she and Xander have earned some time away. Horton Square: Johnny walks up, and Cat leaves him and Chad alone to chat. Chad asks about Johnny patching things up with EJ, but he's not interested. He goes off about all the horrible things his father did just as Cat returns. DiMera Mansion – Outside: EJ returns home and meets up with Dr Russell. He says Kayla declined his offer but promises they will win the war. EJ heads in and Dr Russell gets a call from Xander. He mentions his work on the sepsis drug and Dr Russell says it still belongs to University Hospital. Xander says he has an offer for the good doctor and to look out for his next call. Brady Pub: Johnny and Marlena enjoy breakfast, and he chats about his most recent connection with Chanel. Marlena encourages the communication and says he is going to have to do more work on himself, including talking to his father. Horton Square: Sarah meets up with Xander and he learns Dr Russell took her place at the conference. They chat a bit more and Sarah mentions EJ's offer to buy the hospital and how she turned him down. Sarah heads off and Xander calls Alex to move on the purchase of University Hospital ASAP. Endings Kayla calls Steve and says Dr Russell is out of town and notes it's time to get down to business. Kayla tells him to be careful and says she loves him. Johnny gets why his grandmother wants him to talk to his father and promises to consider it. She appreciates it and says she also thinks he needs to speak with a professional about his feelings. He agrees he has some big decisions to make and tells her about the job offer from Xander. Marlena is confused as to why he is considering the offer and he says maybe it's time to settle down and get a 'real' job. He wants to prove to Chanel he can be the husband she needs him to be. He also agrees to see a therapist and his grandmother agrees to text him some names. Just then, EJ walks in and Marlena makes her exit. Chanel arrives in the square and runs into Sarah and Xander. They discuss their upcoming trip, and she offers to get them some sweet bits to enjoy. Cat and Chad discuss possibilities for their date. They go back and forth, and they settle on wine and a nice time down by the river. Sarah bites into her treat from Sweet Bits and immediately senses something is wrong.
